It's just for checking the results. Otherwise perhaps another option should be added for submitters that allows you to watch the results without being able to vote yes or no?

But, um, isn't it against the rules to solicit votes for your own movies? Should those links really be there?
I think it should be OK to vote yes on your own videos. Main reason for this is because I'm too lazy to click on the votes every time. So far I've not yet clicked my own yes-buttons. But I really plan on doing it. It should be OK if the publisher states that he will just to check the results straight away when he checks the board for comments.

Perhaps someone should make a list of the biggest features in all the other emulators that needs to be in upcoming emus? Such as recording, re-recording, save states, configurable hotkeys, etc etc?

One can always watch the run over at www.speeddemosarchive.com to get a rough outline of what has to be done right? I'd love to make this run my self. But I got no spare time. :(

Something like Captain N's NES-pad perhaps? Or more in line of CTRL+Z to undo, and CTRL+C to abort perhaps? =D

Does the boss dive after a certein ammount of HP taken from him or is it based on time or movement? Those are some of the factors one can look for and try to manipulate...

Oh. Perhaps he was sarcastic. I was fresh out of bed more or less, so I don't know. Perhaps it's some sort of new sarcasm which I don't recognize? =D Sarcasm can be hard when it's written. Anyways... There is a no-voter and I don't know where it came from, so I just assumed that it was Phils vote. :)

All new movies do have flaws mate! :) Thing with this movie is that it's HORRIBLY HARD! I could play like one hour just to advance 10 frames some times. I tried real hard to hexedit earlier mistakes, but it would cause the entire movie to desync. So I decided to finish the movie instead of starting over totaly. If you ask me, this movie is good enough for submitting. Also I don't like when people are cryptic. Could you please tell me what flaws you see in this movie so that I can make a better movie in the future perhaps? Edit: Also.. A movie doesn't need to be flawless in order to make it interesting, right? Even though it's a plus to have a flawless movie for sure. I want to draw sort of a paralell to Rockman 2 though.. That movie is still being worked on. We had ALOT of movies of it, and still people can find improvements and flaws that are being corrected. The more a game get's attention, the more one can improve it. And as time goes by, people will find a variety of things more or less entertaining.

That would be great. :D MK2 works fine in Mame, among alot of other titles which also would be awesome to see.

I agree to that georgexi! I was very disappointed when I bought MK3 for SNES. Atleast in the manners of graphics and sound. I did have alot of fun with the game otherwise though. But I don't think that UMK3 would make a better TAS just because it contains alot more characters. It would be harder to find variety I think. Sure.. One could play as Shang Tsung and morph into each and every character and pull off ALLOT of stuff. But I wonder if that would be boring after a while. But please. Try to prove me wrong. :) I would certeinly watch a TAS of any MK game. Hehe..

If you ask me UMK3 is not that great of a game really. It's mearly a compilation of all the other games. Xavier is my favorite in Eternal Champions as well. :)

Eternal Champions is a good game. :) I think some of these options solved that issue: # Use WIP1 Timing # Allow Left+Right/Up+Down # Volume Envelope Height Reading # Fake Mute desync workaround # Sync samples with sound CPU Fake mute or VEHR I think it was... However the sound became entierly crapped. But the game is synced if I remember correctly.

You can manipulate the starting stage by dying. However it's almost unavoidable to use cheatcodes. Since you can't win 50 times in a row without using twoplayer mode first. And gettting the required ammount of wins is not satisfying in a TAS.

My brother just messaged me about a wicked idea for Mortal Kombat 2. He told me it might be possible to meet Smoke, Jade and Noob Saibot after eachother. His theory went like this: Make sure that the stage before the "?" is the portal stage. Play as Kung Lao and do the spinning forcefield thingie (Up+LK) to make Dan Forden appear (the guy who shouts TOASTY!). Press down+start to enter the fight against Smoke. Beat Smoke using kicks only. This would in theory take you to Jade as the stage is still before the "?". Make sure that the Jade fight is your 50th in a row. Kill Jade and you should be transfered to Noob Saibot. If you ask me it would be OK to use a cheatcode in a TAS to manipulate the starting stage and the proper ammount of wins so that this can be pulled off as the time goes by as normal. What do you guys think?
