Pleasant surprise you posted there Truncated. I will watch the movie later today. I remember watching a WIP you sent me a couple of months back, so this will be very interesting.

I'd say a keyboard is the best to use in a TAS. But of course I like my original controllers for each system. Besides the original controllers for Genesis. Those are not good if you ask me. Better buy a turbo controller that is better shaped.

Why woulden't it be useful? If a weapon can be static inside a boss it would harm him ASAP right? Without you having to do much else than watch. Could this be used perhaps to place a blade inside wood man so that the leaves doesn't bounce the blade away perhaps? Otherwise it could be a funny finishing move for a boss, to leave the blade visable after the killing shoot.

21 frames won't be noticably faster for the untrained eye I suppose. But it's still an improvement. Hope you can do some radical changes. Keep it up though! Good luck!

Well.. Since this is not the final run, but mere a test run, I already knew it wasn't optimal by watching how the character walks into stuff for example. But I generally picked on the more time saving stuff that will be necessary later. Of course movement is one big issue as well. Getting that perfect should be an easier task however. Boss killing is another thing as well.. But from using magic to hit random enemies will probably make you able to hold the better swords earlier which will bring big advantages later on!

Here are some pointers after having watched up to Leo's lab. Use more magic. Use magic more efficent. If you can use more magic and hit random enemies that you don't really need to kill you will still gain exp faster. Take damage more efficent. Combine magic and sword to kill enemies even faster. Remember that some enemies doesn't spawn until you have killed off the first one. There for it's even more important to kill these enemies as quickly as possible. Don't spend time taking gems from chests. Only a waste of time. You can probably manipulate gems faster the regular way anyways. I'm thinking of the snowy mountain currently where you bring up a couple of chests. After getting the mushroom shoes you head down the basement at the top of the mountain. Right where that slippry ice sort of thing is (the one that forces you back down). I think it's better to move straight up on it if you just walk a bit further to the right first. I think this is where you kill your first set of enemies after getting the shoes. If you don't know what place I mean that is. :)

This deservs a YES vote. But I do have some stuff that needs answering. 1. In the great tree you could have used the claw to move faster at one place I think. Can't remember what frame it was. But as I said. I think you can improve there as the claw movement is faster than your regular walking. 2. Some of the weapon switches didn't seem optimal. Can't remember if you have to stand still to switch weapons. But otherwise you could have switched weapons in a battle for example when your ally is doing a final blow or something. 3. I think you can finish the last boss quicker by abusing cure more. If I remember correctly it can go from the first state to the last state by casting 1-3 cures at him. My mind is a bit rusty since I haven't played this game for a while. But try fiddling around with it. 4. The backtrack to get cure was a PAIN! 5. I think more enemies and bosses are weak to the claw attack. Can't remember what enemies or bosses though. :D Cheers! Great run anyways! And as I said. A Yes vote.

What if you could make the game beleive you just fought for example Air man the second time? At the re-fights I mean. Would that teleport you to the level select screen again or would you be spawned somewhere else?

Sure I'll will.. just that I got a desync in the passageway and Im trying to fix it with the hex-edit tools.. Im not that good at math and recalulate 17min, 4seconds and 13 frames could take me some time. I just getting confusing with all the numbers and frames after a while ;) Highness friend hexedit tools has timecount. But that program calculates it wrong. 9999:99 insted of min(60):sec(60):frames(60). :(
I always caled it seperatly. 17*60*60=61200 4*60=240 61200+240+13=61453 But then again. I don't like math. I'm not that good at it either so.. I'm doing it the slow way, and it works for me. :D

WTF!! How could you zoom over the moving sand in the first dungeon? I thought there wasn't anything else to learn in this game.

Otherwise you could just hexedit to grab it in the beginning, if it turns out you could use it earlier. For example against zombiefied enemies. Life should work on these as well. But It's a good completment.

I'm not really sure if it heals him. Let's say it "cures" 32k hp or something. Then the next cure damages 16k. The boss will still change the form I think. Not sure since I haven't checked the code for it. But it should be easy to do so. Great to hear that the run is up again.

This is still not a final run right? If it's just a test you got plenty of time to do changes before submitting right. So it's good to come up with these ideas now. :) Keep it up!

AngerFist - Did you notice how super-serious Saturn was in the beginning. Took him ALOT of time just to improve 2-3 frames. Entertainment is not always about each-frame-super-perfect-movie. If I did a movie like that I would probably get sick or something. Even though I encourage people putting down that kind of effort into their movies. :)

Yeah.. So which one is worth more? A charged hit or multiple regular hits? Both with moon energy...
