Sorry for years old bump, but I am really interested in what the outcome of this thread ever was. I know of the Grrl branch of Gens, but it has been outdated for a LONG time. Is there an updated linux version of Gens rerecording these days? The reason why I am asking is that the current version as of this date does not work well for me in wine. A native gens-rr would be nice, and of course preferably with GUI and hotkeys equal to the windows version. Cheers

I say that the cheat is valid for an extreme entertainment value. I enjoyed that very very much I can say! Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Could not find my test with this game I'm afraid. Hmm... At that bull run thing, one could maybe think up a more funny way to move all the characters in order to pass time?

Odd... I can't find the old thread about this game in the arcade section. I'm quite sure we wrote some stuff about it. X2Poet and I were poking around a bit with this game about half a year ago. Can't recall the RAM-addresses we used though. I can maybe check tomorrow if I still have some of the WIP's or info that we might have noted. But afaik we did never go far with this. I think my main problem was that the emu did not work good enough for me for some reason. Oh well.. I'm off to bed now.

Nice! I love this game, and I'm glad that someone else shows interest in it too. I don't think I will be of much help to your requests, and I can't recall any tricks in the game it self either, only that one can cheat death with the robot if I recall correctly. Just as he takes the final blow, hit the A-button to blow your self up. You will respawn, but if anything as much as sneezes at you, you will die. I don't see how that would help in a TAS though. Good luck!

Not the best game I've seen around... Not even bad enough to be good neither. Nevertheless it is a good improvement, and hence I give it a yes too.

Oh, sorry for not noticing the post here earlier. I just came back to Germany more or less, and soon I'm flying back to Sweden. The progress has been slow. I'm still stuck at the eye-worm as I can't get it to spawn and move as I want to. I will soon think to just do that boss as fast as I can, even though it will be slightly sloppy, and I will loose some frames, just in order to complete the run finally. If any one of you can help me find some interesting and useful data about that boss, I would be glad to wrap it up. The eye-worm I'm talking about is in the Hi-rise building. After that boss, everything should be more or less straight forward, as I am now more equipped with another energy tank to faster clear the bosses in deep-hole (final stage). I've tried a lot of things with the eye-worm boss, like delaying frames before encounter, or to randomly mash buttons to see if it can affect him easily, but so far I'm out of luck it seems. Of course I sometimes get different results, but nothing which is satisfying enough. And I can probably say that this is one of the hardest tasks in the game because of the dynamics this boss seems to have. I also was bitching about Mr. Frosty in deep-hole and did not manage to manipulate him good enough with the previous energy resources I had, so thats why I am back in Hi-rise to redo that part. This has been a good set-back all in all though, since I've found greater short-cuts during that run. You can expect quite a lot from this run to be honest. I've found quite a lot of glitches that can be used in a lot of places. Also there is one more potential shortcut in hi-rise building, but I have not yet managed to get it to work properly. I'm starting to get my energy and motivation back, and I am really feeling like putting an end to this now. Like I said earlier. If there is anything you want to contribute, or can contribute to make my progress faster/easier, feel free to do so. I can always do with some good LUA scripts of all sorts. Cheers for the attention in this game! I'll hear you all soon again.

I'm still lacking time on my hands, but I think it would be cool with an all-stage run, and a warped run. One would miss too many great levels of Toki otherwise. And even though it is slow paced I think that the action going on, plus a gazillion cheats of death is interesting enough to keep the long run and a warped run.

Not sure why I did not like this fully. I normally quite enjoy a good fighting game. I'll give this a Meh, and looks forward to a more hot version 2 of the run. :)

I always get confused by these types of runs, but in a good way, sort of. :) Damn much action, and I always have a hard time to decide where to look, and I'm too lazy to watch them all three separately. This is of course a yes vote. I can't find time to even make a single run now days, or hardly at least. So I always think it's very inspiring to see these types of runs. Very cool. A slight encode request would be to have all the different games in different sound channels though, because the audio is badly messed up when playing all three games at once. Would be nice to switch it to the game one keeps the focus at. That was just a parenthesis though. Cheers for this awesomeness!

I'll give it a yes, but I also would suggest to encode it without all the door transitions, because those really sucks, and take a lot out of the game play action. Cheers!

Sorry. I have no clue how many levels there are in this game. I could not find anything fast on google neither. :/ I guess you, we, I, have to play through it to find out. :D

I guess one would sound like an old man in the future. I suppose you've all heard the stories from old people. "I remember back in the days when I was young. The air was fresh and everything was black and white." I think that we would more or less sound like old people when going to the future. Well... Timewise we would add another 200 years to our ages somewhat. So it qualifies for being old. Even though I would hunger to see a future in 200 years I wonder if I would actually do it? Did either of you people see the movie Idiocracy? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/ It covers the topic slightly. :)

Ehh... WTF! Err.... Umm.... WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON? <caps> Seriously... That was crazy shit. Well spent 24 minutes of my life. Thanks for taking them from me. :) We should create a new category, like a star movie, but this should instead be like WTF-movie, and so I would like to cast the first WTF-vote please. :D

Nice run. Managed to watch it now, albeit a bit laggy and crappy sound due to wine somehow. A clear YES-vote, and once again a slaughtered game. :D

So Adon sent me this link. Seems like an awesome game. And of course we need to TAS it, when possibility is given. ;) http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/streetcleaningsim/review.html?tag=games%3Bgame_title%3B9

Can someone provide an encode of this please? Preferably not on youtube as my bandwidth sucks. I will watch this later, and I am quite sure I will give a YES-vote for this. I watched the WIP and it was incredible. Also.. Will this "glasses"-trick work for Déjà Vu, (and that other similar game which I never recall the name of) too?

Err... Didn't someone create a rewind script with LUA? Maybe it was not for this emulator?

What a horrible game. I think this is one of those games that will be in the undisputed or unchallenged list for a very long time because of it's weirdness, and boringness. I want to give my YES vote because of the TAS:er actually made it through, and in such a rapid creation time too. :) Awful ending too. All in all, a boring and slow game done quick and deserves a well earned place among the other published runs.

Isn't there something like Boot camp for MAC? Or some kind of other virtual machine a'la VmWare or VirtualBox? I have been a bit troubled about wine the last couple of days concerning Snes9x. Performance issues, and sound splutters. A bit of fiddling will probably take care of that though.

Sadly the documentation of snes9x usage on www.snes9x.com is scarce it seems. Not sure how you go about in MAC if you can pass command line options to snes9x or something. In *nix you can use snes9x -displaykeypress for example. Is there any helpfile available for Snes9x in MAC?

What? There is something wrong about a slow paced monkey spitting fireballs on beetles? I don't see the problem here. No sir. Not at all. :D Instant kill from anything you say? Well... A flying demon with one of those fire forks (tridents), or a poisonous beetle is something I too would die from instantly I guess. Or maybe a spike up my ass too. Haha! :)
