It just hit my mind that Dune - The battle for Arrakis might be interesting for a run.

Well.. I think there would be an issue for the encoders as well.. How much space do you think an uncompressed 2GB compressed movie would take? Besides.. There is also the GMV, SMV, FCM etc. to download for people who wants full graphics etc.

Why buldozing around the lakes when you can just build over it? Further more you need more planning. Since it wasn't pretty to see you used the buldoze at all. Thats what we use re-records for. I can understand that you will need to buldoze around fires and stuff like that in order to not spread it further. But this run just seamed so boring. I watched it to the end where you started to use disasters etc. Also I don't think you should get any errornous sound when you place stuff. You know the sound when you try to build railroad over a building or something. Those sounds should be eliminated entierly. I will vote NO on this run because I think the person can do alot better.

Well.. Then you would have to use something to get ALL frames encoded in that movie. The rate should always be the same right? As long as you don't miss frames you're good I think. But this seams like a very complex way to do it. Atleast for the common user. Wonder how many "common" users there are here anyways. :D

Damnit. I wanna see the new run!!! *cries* Hehe.. If someone else started a run I suppose Morimoto would crush his/her resistance fairly easy when the new movie comes out. :D But still though. There haven't been much noise about new Mega man runs. Both 1 and 2 should be re-done if you ask me. Even though both is good. But Mega Man 2 is not that good anymore. Atleast not the old movie. I feel like I'm repeating my self. Had a ciouple of beers. Bwahaha!

So the enemies MP-block would render the hit weaker? Does it also consume MP in order to pull off the desperation attack?

I don't see why it shoulden't be allowed. So for my input, YES - Reset is OK. And coulden - It's more impressive to finish the game with a low percentage of items instead of having 20 heart containers. I mean.. If you play the game on actual SNES and have all items, you are almost godlike, unless you really really really suck at playing. A pure time attack with only the necessary set of items would be more interesting.

Dude.. There are thousends and thousends of pages and p2p networks that offer roms. Just go there and grab what you need. It's not even hard. The Gens emu is free for download if you read a little closer. What about the FAQ page perhaps? Read that and you'll see.

If it's possible to finish the game without desync, how come you have patience enough to explore that, but not patience enough to go on and make a real time attack? To me it's very sad how you just waste that newly discovered trick to get around the desync without pulling of this with glance! How ever I would still watch your dark world run.

First laser pillar can't be destroyed because of those flying things that gets in the way. Second laser pillar is too short of distance, plus I get that annoying flying guy behind me. I would have to slow down in order to take out that laser pillar, thus loosing time. Third laser pillar is to high above so I can't reach it with a flying kick. Fourth laser pillar is also too close to be able to take it out with a flying kick. Besides I got those three flying idiots behind me. They would most probably catch up due to the time it takes to jump. Takes about 10 frames or something. Fifth laser pillar comes in too close as well. I would have to pull back in order to destroy it. And then those other guys catch up on me and deals damage to me what so ever. Sixth laser pillar might be doable. But it will be tight since that guy running towards me is likley to hit me instead. Thats why I beat him up. I tried this alot though. The collision system is kinda horible in this game. They can deal damage to me even if I'm half a character away some times.

Ok. I worked another two hours on the run. I'm up to the boss in level 4 now. Alot of projectiles to keep track on. But I'm gonna fire his ass away to another galaxy where he doesn't bother me again. Bwahaha!

Oh.. Forgot to tell. Between level 3 and 4 there's a cute cutscene which I skip. If you wanna watch it you'll have to stop the movie playback as I kill the level 3 boss. I saw no point in showing it since it takes up too many seconds. :)

Oh.. Finished level 3 now. That level wasn't too hard. Used about 350 re-records only during that level. But it seem to be sufficent.

I actually watched the entire movie. Here are some thoughts: First boss: Time better, be more agressive, the last one can be timed so that you hit as it hoovers above you. Second boss: Can also be hit with the arrows. Good if the distance is greater than the sword can reach. Missed shots Take detours to picup unneccary items such as hearts that drops from enemies. Inaccurate navigation. Bad route. Try to work out a better one. Fights against enemies that you can walk past instead. Not optimal with the running shoes. Fighting cowardly. Move in closer to kill enemies faster. Charging the sword is not optimal always. Move closer to Ganon in order to kill him faster. Text scrolling could/should be faster.
