I've been instructed to support the English squad. I'm not so sure how I feel about this, considering my Australian roots, but it would be cool if they decide to let Rooney play eventually. In any case, I'll be watching this game pretty soon :) I'll be at work by the time Sweden's game starts, so I'll have to find it on the radio.

I fooled around with this game about a year ago, and the first 4 or so levels turned out very boring. The next few levels were a bit better. It cold turn out decently. Does it have an ending?

That's a good idea.
Except now the link back to the main site from the forum is way broken.

I just read through the full thread because I have nothing better to do and I almost never check out the off topic forum. But I'd like to say I always thought Bisqwit was named after bisquick baking mix. And now for my story: This is the only site I use this nick on. I made it soley for this forum. I mostly like lurking and reading about movie progress, so I just wanted to come up with something so I could see what posts were new. It was just sort of the first thing that came to mind. It's insult with a z.

However it compares to existing speed runs, taking the time to do a test tas for us that is estimated at about 3:30 knowing it won't be published is amazing. Keep it up ;)

I hate to do this, but I totally agree with the above post. Demon's Crest and GQ2 would both make awesome runs.

Thanks, DeHackEd. The run looks really impressive so far, FODA. I'm sure you've heard that a lot, but more encouragement can't hurt. Keep it up.

I'd be interested in either of these two routes, since they're both fairly short and diverse.

It seems to me that the solution to this:

3-4 This level suffered a little from you being careful due to you trying to avoid taking damage.
Counld be helped in part by this:

I got hit by the projectile so one of the soldiers wouldn't. There's no reason for that, I just like the soldiers :)
It would only afford a little extra damage, but along with taking the cup in 1-2 (if possible), that could afford you a couple of extra hits in 3-4. In any case, I was entertained :)

Actually, as I was watching, I wondered why "this is a tool-assisted recording" wasn't on for longer, then it popped up again, and I was glad. But about the run, it was great. Fastfastfast.

It's amazing that you can keep finding ways to shave off seconds from the overall time. Excellent work.

Is anyone still seeding the WIP? It's been stuck on 75% for a couple of days now :<
After reading this I decided to seed again, and I just looked over at it, and someone got 10 megs or so off me today. Was this you, and are you done? I don't mind seeding, but if no one's going to leech, I might as well stop ;) edit: Ah, weird. People are downloading now. Okay, I guess I'll leave it on for a while. :)

I... love you. I'm glad I finally get to see the run so far. It's very good. Packed with unexpected moves and speed. I love your 100-coin routes. keep it up, Foda :D

I still think duping Excalibur should be better because it is way faster. Getting the Tail is not bad. It's the part after that, and then the duping. You'd have to test, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
I'm not so sure if this trick has been discussed or not, but it MAY come in handy, if the time to get the Avenger offsets the time to dupe Excaliburs, or whatever. Also, it could be used to mass dupe any sword for money. Just throwing it out there :D

To start the trick, you need the Avenger sword, which you can find in the Sylvan cave in the underground, I think. First, equip Cecil with arrows in his GOOD hand, and the any kind of bow in his BAD. Get into a battle (preferably an easy one), and make sure that nobody does anything. If a character's turn comes before his, have them parry (press right and the parry option will come up). Once it gets to Cecil's turn, enter the item screen. Grab the arrows he has equiped and bring them down to an empty slot. Without leaving the window, select the Avenger sword and move it up to his BAD hand. From there, press B to exit the items window and his commands will disappear because the Avenger sword causes the person with it equiped to be berserked. Don't have any other characters do ANYTHING! Just let Cecil beat up all the enemies. After the battle, go to the Equip screen for Cecil. Move the Avenger sword to an empty slot, and then without leaving the screen move the sword you would like to duplicate 250 times into his GOOD hand (the one with the numbers). De-equip, and re-equip, and voila! You should have a sword with a circle and a number next to it in your inventory. If not, make sure you followed my directions EXACTLY.

So here you say it can't be done.
He's referring to the ghost house at the top of Donut Plains, leading to Donut Plains Secret Area.

Here you say you need Yoshi.
He's referring to the second exit in DP1 to get to the ghost house that leads to the star world.

You can already jump high enough to reach the big boo fight.
Here you say it's easy.
He's referring to the Ghost House that leads to the star road. 3 different things. I hope that clears it up.

I was thinking that the whole time I was reading the thread, but that would just lead to an 11-exit run. Perhaps also no star roads should be taken? I would watch that video.

Well, it says right in the video description "Patch design.: Marc", and the site that it links to is all filled with level editors and strange hacks. I think it's pretty clearly labeled as a hack.

Off the tee, into the rough. Out of the rough, into a bunker. Followed by an amazing chip in for eagle? I'd watch it ;D I had a go at NES golf a while back. I'd like to see it so you never have to putt, if that's possible...

Alright, is there any chance I could convince you to make a patch for the NES version? Or would that be too time consuming?
In both of my pirated nes cart & my pirated fami cart of this game, if you hold a direction and the a or b button (I forget which) and then press start, it warps you to a different level. You might want to give it a try.

I'd just like to say not to forget about the tricks that have already been invented, like clone coins for 100 coins perhaps.
