Yeah, it does have a lot of that. Tell you what, I'll make World 1-1 with what I know, and others can edit it to include passing through blocks. How does that sound?

Ok, so tell me, HappyLee, how on Earth did you do the "passing through blocks" glitches? For example, in 4-2 of your SMB any% TAS (nice to improve klmz's run by 1 frame, BTW), you hit a mushroom block, and you passed through the floor. The only thing I want to know is how to do it without a ceiling and continuous walljumping.

Ok, YoungJ1997lol, to answer your question, let's just review what you wrote:
Could be interesting. About the passing through blocks thing, look at the SMB resource page. It'll give you good examples. And do you know the flagpole glitch?
First of all, I know about the page and the examples, but I don't think I will be able to do the wall-passing-through tricks when there is no ceiling involved. That's what I meant when
I just recently wrote:
I know nothing of the "passing through blocks" glitches, and I never have done it in TAS because I never knew the technical details!
For some reason, I need to have what I said I may need in my last post. Second of all, I know the flagpole glitch (the one consisting of glitching through the flagpole, then jumping, somehow making the flag not come down, therefore saving time)! Just not how to do it. *facepalm* And Tseralit, I totally agree. Edit: Marx, what are you saying? The only glitch that I know of that I do NOT know how to do is the "going through blocks without ceilings" glitches and applications for speed. I even know a "springboard of death" glitch, a "spider thread" glitch, and much more! So don't say that I'll never pull off any SMB glitches!

How about I make a movie showing every glitch/oddity we all know in this game? (Oh, and by the way, I know nothing of the "passing through blocks" glitches, and I never have done it in TAS because I never knew the technical details! Do you think you could show me a graph or table with combinations of values for my reference, or at least explain the relations between the values involved in a way I can understand? It's the only way!)

I have never been able to get Dolphin to open! Either tell me how to make it work, or add Wii as a platform on Bizhawk. If you do the Bizhawk thing, then add a TASEdit feature, similar to FCEUX (the non-sucky NES emulator, remember?

Well, Marx, I have seen multiple realtime playings of Pyramid, and now I think that unless someone could make a "pattern" like in the Tetris NES playaround TAS, it would not be so entertaining to watch.

How would you complete Alcatraz? In fact, how would you complete any level of the game? This game is really frustrating!

Ok, consider it cancelled and me off of tasvideos. I will disable my account if another of my submissions is too subpar. I'll try NES Pyramid, and if it doesn't work, goodbye TASVideos membership!

I think you ended up making a longplay, rather than a Tool-assisted Superplay
First of all, the current longplay record is 18 minutes. If I tried to make a longplay, I might as well submit it at longplays.org, or something like that! Second of all, if you're saying that I did not follow up on goal choice, then I'll have you know that I couldn't find much more glitches, bugs, oddities, or Easter eggs to showcase. If that's what you're saying, then consider this cancelled.

I would, but I simply cannot find any other glitches or oddities! (Actually, I planned to use a glitch where the game crashes when you press left+right. However, having to reset the game due to it may not be enjoyable to watch, IMHO.)

I don't think that would be considered an impressive movie. You could do that for any game. The technical value here comes from manipulating the computer to lose quickly.
In that case, could I do a "playaround" TAS of this game? I will try to make it as entertaining as possible! (Oh, and I will answer your next question. There are a few glitches that I know, along with an Easter egg involving the Konami code.)
You can certainly try. Whether it will be considered entertaining enough to get published, however, is a far more difficult question.
My WIP can be found here.

I didn't watched the RAM since the game is pretty basic. But here you the manipulation I did detailed: Manipulating the AI's movement on the map: start the game later/faster after you skipped the intro. There's isn't many variations in the first iterations, but more turns will show more difference. . Manipulating the AI's movement in battles: this depends on the enemy AI (higher level makes him more aggressive so you can end the battles faster) and also doing actions timed differently (I manipulated this to get hexa kills of soldiers and getting better position for enemy artillery).

Edit: I have discovered a glitch is the fort-raiding and train-raiding levels in which pressing left and right at the same time crashes the game (i.e. any input you do other than resetting the console, which I do not know how to do with button inputs, will not affect the game, and it stays on the same screen for the whole time). It will not be of much help if I don't find a button code to soft-reset (or hard-reset) the game, however, so if anyone can find one, let me know! WIP can be found here.
You can soft reset the game by either using the menu of FCEUX (Nes > Reset) or editing your FM2 movie file (the line where you want to make a reset, change the "0" to "1"): Instead of a typical |0|........||| to |1|........||| . hard-reset is |2|........|||
Ok, MESHUGGAH, I will take your advice! Oh, and BTW, can you give me a score on my WIP on a scale of 1 to 10? Also, try to find glitches, Easter eggs, or oddities in the game if you can! Thanks in advance!

Very interesting. If you managed such a large improvement so quickly and easily, why not TAS this game yourself?
I'm actually doing it now. edit: playing as South, 4266 is the final framecount (1:11 instead your 1:19) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/2500799130184739
