23 seconds of improvement and it's rejected for 32 frames? Bisqwit, you honestly thinks that keeping the old, less-optimized version as the current publication is best for the site?
This fix isn't a hex-edit job either. It's a 9 level redo, and I'm sure as hell not wasting my time with it.

The two instruments blend together much better than I pictured an acoustic guitar and an ocarina blending.
You should bust out some Requiem of Spirit on that ocarina :)

Maybe every instance of fixing posts on the forum should automatically get replaced with the phrase "IT AINT BROKE MOTHAFUCKA!!!!!!!!!!", aiming to discourage its use in a subtle manner.

But, that's exactly what you're doing with strikethrough on this very same post (using it to purposefully show a message that isn't needed for the post).
I don't think stuff like that should be banned just because some people are annoyed. Everyone is annoyed at something. If the text is too small, don't read it. Sheesh.
Also, text replacing reminds me of sites like M2K2, which is really flickerbat annoying.

This movie is as boring as adelikat's, and four minutes longer.
A second player isn't needed, and that's apparent because you have the first player do the same thing every time for skeet shooting, archery, and high jump, and nearly identical things for most of the other events. Three attempts is enough to show the game's "variety".
Edit - Clarity:
<xebra> How could you say Phil's movie was *as* boring as Adelikat's?
<JXQ> well, I meant it in the way that it was equally boring, and then I had to suffer through four more minutes of it

Fractal, wow, I had to look twice before I found a difference :)
Of the ones I did recently, two that I'm not so sure on are Gimmick! and Super Mario Bros. 2. (The one I really liked from Gimmick! turned out to be from the same room that the any% screenshot is from. My rationale for the current one is that it was from the extra level and it had several goofy characters in one screen.)
SMB2 is a pretty popular movie here, so if anyone has a suggestion they prefer, that would be great. Here's the other choice I was debating on for it:
Edit: I ended up using this area for a screenshot to the newest any% movie.

FreshFeeling, thanks for the suggestions. I'll look at them once I get this initial list down to a reasonable size. And yes, frame suggestions are welcome to any run. (Especially helpful on a game like Final Fantasy Adventure which I know nothing about)
FractalFusion, thank you! I especially like your choice for MM6 :)

Well, it was kind of neat, but it was also kind of bleh. Usually racing game TASes look better for me if they look really fast, and this wasn't too fast-looking. It wasn't boring either though, so I will vote meh.

If you are using Volume Envelope Height Reading as a sync option, this can cause desyncs of this nature in certain games. The example I experienced it on was Smash TV.

Alright, I'm going to start on this list. Since it would take forever to put each screenshot here for a consensus, I'm just going to pick them myself. Any screenshot that someone isn't happy with, post about it here and those ones can be discussed more.

Ah, so that's why the Arkanoid screenshot is the same as before.
I think that keeping the same name on a new screenshot (and thus erasing the old screenshot) is a bad idea because obsolete movies are still accessible on the site and should have a unique screenshot associated with them, just like non-obsoleted movies.
Thoughts?

I'm a little rustier on N64 screenshots but I agree about Gecko, so I'll see what I can put together.
I'm not familiar with OptiPNG. Currently I use AdvPNG and PNGout. I've tried PNGCrush and I found it usually wasn't as necessary. What I should really do is find every single program like this and write my own small script/program that will use them all automatically on every PNG in a directory.
I don't know much at all about compressing a jpg for N64 screenshots.

Here is the status of this ongoing project. Please leave input if you have an idea for a screenshot, criticism on one that is currently up, or know of a run that does not have a screenshot (or is a duplicate).

Tony Hawk 3 - I'm unable to make this game look correct, although all my plugins match. If someone else can give this a screenshot, or me some advice, that'd be great.

If you load a wrong state with 1.43, but reload a correct state afterwards, it will restore your movie. This happens because each savestate stores the entire movie up to that point.

If you mean graphical smileys, I am now cancelling your vote with mine. They look like ass squared, and some people will create some truly frighening posts with the plethora of garbage smileys that are typically available.

Here is a replacement FCM which,
1) Ends correctly
2) Still has 0 rerecords
3) Removes the wholly redundant savestate from the FCM, reducing the file size dramatically, keeping sync, and increasing the integrity of the movie file.
I'm going to write a program soon that will auto-strip these savestates from FCM files.

Actually, I was not familiar with that quote from Timothy. But I do like it.
My favorites sections (so far*) are:
Matthew 6:1-4
Corinthians 7:1-7
Ephesians 5:22-33
*I still have a vast majority of the Bible unread at this point.
Also I don't know what version of the Bible I have. It's pretty readable though (no old English words, like "thou").
