There's no need for the tilt on this page. Everything before "However, it is the goal of this page to create a few things:" could be removed without losing the page's focus. You sound like the back of a game box.

I "discovered" the baby Metroid skip a few weeks ago, but it's just another useful application of Saturn/Catnap's shortcharge. if you are a memeber. please give some creds. ;) Anyway, I can only echo the praise up to this point about this run. It was far overdue, and I voted yes.

I actually was not aware that I would be co-author on this run until I saw it submitted. :) Upthorn has really outdone himself on these improvements and I was very entertained by his additions to my previous run. Star Light 3 was almost reminiscent of later, faster Sonic games, and very fun to watch. I actually tried to see if the previous submission could be stalled in encoding once I learned of this one to save encoders some time. However, the AVI had already been encoded, and so now at least the game will have a proper chain of obsoletion. I voted yes.

Well, I've had a four hour nap between now and my last post. I now feel stupid for having posted about this in the first place. I take the intent of the site from the actions (or inaction) of the admin. I feel that I must have the role of Editor slightly mistaken in comparison to how the site's vision defines it. I have decided it would be best for myself and the site if I stop contributing as editor for the time being. I feel it is pointless to do so when Phil is also an editor. If Phil ever has his editing privileges revoked, as I personally feel he should, I could see myself contributing once again. However, my wishes should not be used as merit to do so (and I don't think they would be, anyway). I think it is better for me to contribute through my TASing, which cannot be edited by another member. I will still update my User page here, however. I apologize for the fuss.

I actually think the description is fine, but rules are rules, Truncated. No making jokes to non-factual situations, or from factual situations from any other game. My hands are tied.

Then why do you always use YOU?
Does not compute. And please don't attempt cleverness by turning around my "grade-school" quote, because it's a losing proposition.

Very well Phil, I'll fix the movie description myself. After all, I don't think it's funny, and it certainly isn't true, and I won't be breaking any policies that you didn't break, and you've still got your editor permissions, so I think mine are pretty safe. But thanks for showing your true colors once again.

I'm waiting for the joke to be removed. You know, the thing I originally asked for, since it would be consistent with what he did to the DD2 description. Phil obviously has no qualms about editing other people's descriptions, or caring what audiences may think about anything, so I don't see what's holding him back. Except for, perhaps, his giant hypocrisy.

Phil, still waiting for you to prove you aren't a giant hypocrite by fixing the submission I linked to earlier.

Phil's Edit wrote:
Mario has eaten too many poisonous mushrooms and as a result, decided to go on a furious killing spree. In this berserker state he has also gained the new secret ability to walk through walls at will. NOTE THAT THIS IS A JOKE. MARIO DID NOT (FACTUALLY) EAT ANY POISONOUS MUSHROOMS. HIS ABILITY TO MOVE THROUGH WALLS IS ACTUALLY DUE TO A CLEVER GLITCH IN THE PROGRAMMING, NOT A BYPRODUCT OF A "BERSERKER STATE."
Edit: Hmm, the English does seem to good to be Phil's work...

SMB2: http://tasvideos.org/754M.html Mario did not go on a killing frenzy after eating poisonous mushrooms. This factually incorrect and frankly unfunny description will confuse our viewers and should be attended to by you at once. And it doesn't matter if it's from DD2 or DD3, that's the whole point of a JOKE. It's not the current edit that has me so annoyed. It's your superiority bullshit that you flaunt all over the place.

That's why I linked to a SCREENSHOT. And still, jokes have no place. I've learned this from you, Bisqwit, and Kyrsimys. Phil, I expect you to correct your SMB2 description with the same haste you did to DD2. Unless, that is, you're a giant hypocrite.

Well, I hope that other movie descriptions are treated accordingly. All jokes that don't specifically refer to factual events in that particular game should be removed, for we wouldn't want to confuse our (apparently, fucking stupid) audience.

Dunces, who, although navigating to the movie page without trouble, lack the ability to click a link. Brilliant.

Kyrsimys, did you PM Phil with this change? I hope so, because he demanded as such. (However, PMing me is not necessary, since I have not contributed as long as Phil) You seriously think people would get confused reading a description with Bimmy as the name when it's linked to a relevant screenshot? Does the audience consist of an army of dunces?

Only in previous runs, adelikat. Like when Phil fellated his own performance by saying what he did was really hard to do. Now it's no longer allowed. Still waiting for Phil to leave like he said he would.

Phil, I thought you were not returning this thread. I'm surprised it was a lie. (This is not a serious response)

Not only JXQ did removed adelikat's joke
I wrote that description for adelikat, which you decided to change, since you think you own descriptions to movies you used to have. But thanks for assuming things incorrectly. Lastly, don't throw your past accomplishments or seniority around in an effort to justify your asinine attitude. I don't give a fuck how many TAS's you've done, you're still a jerk. Maybe someday, your threats to leave will become true, and on that day I will throw a party.

I don't get it. Why is rolling with the Bimmy joke (which didn't even originate from ANN, as was purported) such a terrible thing?
Had Phil came up with his own joke, then everything would have been fine, but now, suddenly things like this aren't allowed. I also should point out that even though the initial description included Bimmy, Phil decided it was his duty to remove it. I reverted it and added the screenshot to avoid confusion, and Phil re-removed it, and said to consult him before making changes to it again. Ek-fucking-scuse me? That would be like me editing someone's random movie description and telling them to not change it back without consulting me first. Who the hell does Phil think he is? I also thought it was lame of him to run and get Bisqwit after editing, so now Bisqwit could say "Don't turn the wiki into an edit war", even though Phil has done exactly that. Phil could have brought the discussion up instead of editing, but surprise surprise, he's abusing his editing privileges. I also could easily have reverted it myself and THEN said "no more editing", but I'm trying to keep things mature and respect the admin's decision even if I don't agree with it - two things Phil has yet to grasp. To be clear, Phil didn't remove the quote - I did because I think it's rude for someone to pick and choose how to phrase another person's words. Situations like this make it easy to feel like one's contributions are taken for granted. I actually thought Bisqwit removed Phil's editing rights. I guess not, but I think he really should have.

By this point he's also doing it for attention. Others addressing it each time it happens just adds to that attention. It's quite a racket. Anywho, I thought this movie ruled all over the place.
