The jump sound in that video doesn't sound like the normal Sonic jump sound. But you know what I'm really wondering? Who did this video? I just can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

According to the MM2 Wiki page: "Quick Man is vulnerable to Crash Bomber; however, it's best to hit him directly, which can be difficult. A miss causes Mega Man to have to avoid Quickman's attacks, since he cannot fire again until the Crash Bomb detonates, which will kill Quickman in one hit if he's on top of it." I have no idea if this is true, or if it would even save time, but it's out there.

It actually is approx. fifty times better than a PS pad because my directional pad isn't hidden behind the controller frame where I can barely push a diagonal! Ten bucks at Target!

Especially because turning off the music lowers the lag. Extra lag, or no music? Which way would be better in a TAS? (The answer is neither)

To be clear, I don't want to disuade Mr. Robert Z from making the run either; if he enjoys it then by all means, have at it. Just giving my (recently changing) opinion.

This discussion makes me realize that there may not be as much of a point to the 70 star run as I first thought. I don't think Mario 64 can be compared to the "glitch, any, 100%" zelda runs either. We don't have a single 100% zelda run here, and my guess is that it's because extra item collection in Zelda has never been a huge focus as compared to sequence breaking and getting through rooms and dungeouns quickly. Similarly, in Mario 64 you can beat the game, and then you can collect all the remaining stars. It just so happens that instead of 70 being that first number, it's been reduced to 16. So I see the 16-star run as the any% run, not the glitched run, because even though it uses glitches, it's not making the game unrecognizable.

You sure do enjoy taking credit for things! At this rate, we'll be able to suck all the fun out of Sonic 2 as well!

Why place these restrictions? Why not just say "whatever gets me 70 stars the fastest"?
Anyone?

I always thought the point of a 70 star run would be to get 70 stars as fast as possible.

Gens isn't bulletproof. It's simply wearing a vest now. I still get desyncs quite a bit.

Fabian you're breaking my <|3 But yeah Bisqwit doesn't like anything that's cool. Frownleopard. Edit: Sorry to derail the thread. I'll bring it back by asking this: Maybe we should look at previous similar cases of star-movies to aid in determining whether or not this should also receive a star, moon, green star, or other interstellar object.

I've been wondering...should this run get a star? On one hand, it's a very popular game, the run took a lot of effort to create, and it's a complete quality production. On the other hand, the 16-star run already has a star, and this run may be too long for a first-time viewer. Other possibilities include giving it a moon, or devising a new system so that this movie can be recognized in a different way. It could be beneficital to discuss this topic more, both in specific detail to this run, and in general, encompassing the definiton of stars and moons on a site-wide level.

Oh yeah, you can put the songs on your ipod, or burn cds, make copies for whoever you feel like, or really whatever you want to do with them.

Thanks man :) My delivery used to be my obvious weak point, but I have been able to work on it some over the years. I'm glad you enjoy the songs!

When Player 4 or 5 are holding any button, the emulator also presses A for them. Any chance in fixing this? :)
