There are two versions of Super Demo World. Maybe you have the wrong one? You need 1.1. Also make sure you have WIP timing checked on the playback list. If your version doesn't have that, you can find the newest modified version in the "download" section of the website.

Shinryuu's actually pretty cool, and good at TASing Rockman 2. It's good that you aren't actually Shining Shinryuu, as I'm sure he read the last post in this thread. Welcome!

That's so weird that you wanted to be named Malroth, and just earlier today, Shining Shinryuu demanded a picture of a Malroth! Gosh, what are the odds?

I personally have no problem with "tool-assisted speedrun". The movies we make are related to speedruns. Although speed and entertainment aren't a perfect correlation, it is still a very strong one. However when I made my Smash TV run, I called it a Superplay, because speedrun did sound a bit strange, since I wasn't doing for absolute speed, even though the run was still aiming to be very fast (since that was the main source of entertainment). Edit: I also think most people are just posting to be silly by this point :)

If anyone is curious as to my opinion, I posted on M2K2's thread. Boco: Some of the movies here use different wording. I've seen "tool-assisted recording" a few times. But overall, I don't think that choosing a different name will help the problem. Some people just don't want to read.

I think a "no" vote because the game is not suited for an entertaining movie is a valid reason. (I haven't watched this run or voted) That's so strange that Vatchern and I have differing opinions. Edit: Vatchern, Fabian just pointed out that you have expressed that certain movies should not be published because you don't like the game (in particular, hacked games). That's the same opinion that some have expressed here about this game. Why should their opinion and votes be ignored in this case?

For maximum flavor, boil creatures at 1000 degrees Celsius for one escape sequence (three minutes). And, since jokes never get old, see diagram: Serves sixty (60) humans, or one (1) Crocomire.

Posting about one's geneology is inane in a thread asking about ethnicity?

On the other hand, the people who gave the Monopoly video a low score just don't appreciate uber luck manipulation.
You can appreciate luck manipulation and still think the result is not fun to watch.

"tool-assisted speedrun" is an established term to describe exactly what these videos are (way before this site even existed). Why it has to be changed?
The same argument could be made for not changing the site's name from Nesvideos to TASvideos. Edit: The "established" part, not the "accurately describes" part.

I remember in third grade, we went to the avatar factory. Kind of a letdown, honestly.

You could just make the avatar yourself with screenshots from the emulators and paintbrush.

It's not a question of "is it more entertaining?" but a question of "is this game so popular that it's ok to screw up the original runner by allowing someone else to obsolete his movie by 1 frame?"
What the hell does this have to do with the current discussion?

I don't see nothing wrong with this. It's his site, he can do whatever he wants with the name.
I just want to point out that in every case, this is a time-wasting and pointless statement. It only serves to state the obvious fact that someone is the admin of the site, and ignores discussion about the issue at hand. On with the discussion.

The first time I went to the SNES movies page, it had the average ratings (or "not yet rated"), but no link. Refreshing the page seemed to fix this problem, whatever it was.

Moozooh's first guess was my original idea, but as said, it would just be convenient, but easily livable without. Does the system require a certain number of posts to rate movies similar to the voting on submissions?

I'm familiar with this game, but not on a frame level. However, watching your controller input, it seems that you played the game close to real time speeds. I would think that this would lead to inaccuracy in getting the fastest time. It also seemed that you waited in some places for a long time before enemies appeared. Is that manipulatable? Not voting until I find out more.

Another suggestion would be to be able to look at your own votes together on a page? But this seems like it would be difficult to code. And perhaps it's not all that necessary. Post = pointless.

I'd much rather you finished the run than worry about a minor improvement 47 levels back. When I watched the trick, I acutally couldn't tell what the difference was, so I would think it's nothing extremely noticeable, and so it wouldn't take away from the entertainment of the run to leave that out. Especially if it ends up being slower in the long run.
