I just remembered a small bug in SNES9x improvement 9 regarding the memory watcher. When using "Search For New Cheats" (under the Cheat menu), you can select the Data Type as Unsigned, Signed, or Hexadecimal, and in this menu, the changes work. However, when using the "Watch" command on a variable (even when "signed" is selected), it will remain unsigned. For example, in Super Mario World, the variable for Mario's horizontal velocity is signed. However, when traveling left, the values will be in the high 200's (rather than the negative 40's and 50's), but only using the "Watch" command, not on the menu itself. Not a huge deal, but I guess it should be at least pointed out for whenever a new version is done, as I'm guessing it wouldn't be a difficult fix.

Could the fcm "obsolete" the fmv? Or would that require making it a unique published movie?

Kirby's Adventure = bold text. Edit: Kirby's Adventure = un-bold text. Explained here.

I can't find a previous movie to this. Wow, this game is on drugs. Adding a yes vote.

YOU ARE NOW APPROACHING THE 1ST FDS EJECT ERROR: FRAME 26500...ish YOU ARE NOW APPROACHING THE 2ND FDS EJECT ERROR: FRAME 145000...ish The autoscrollers ended up getting fast-forwarded. Not that there was more you could do; they just go so slow. On the other hand, the levels themselves were a treat to watch and well-optimized as far as I could tell, so I am voting yes. However, if there is some type of code that only plays the fortresses themselves, I think that should be used instead. Edit: Also, Farmel must be ecstatic. Perhaps beyond description!

I could not get that to work, and that water level was enough of a pain. As far as your ideas from your picture goes, I tried the first corner (under the screen), and it doesn't boost you for whatever reason. The second does, but the way the cape spins, it's up to luck whether or not you'll hit the key block earlier or not. So it may save a frame. I did think of one trick to try though, in Star World 4, using big swoops to get higher before kicking the shell at the feather block. Might hit the block 2 or 3 frames earlier, and affect luck differently (hopefully better) from there on out. I didn't think of it until tonight, but I tried it briefly and couldn't get it to work. I'm sure it can be done somehow, though. To flagitious, or whoever else it may apply to: if you obsolete my run, even if only by 1 frame, then I have no problems with that. Just thought I'd make that known. It's the way of a Faber! Anyway, thanks everyone for all the no votes!

Well, LambdaWarrior just doesn't quite have the same ferocity to it.

No, because then later, they'll be called "the runs formerly known as ◘". And that can lead to all sorts of problems, including muscle pain and shortness of breath. Also, edit, since I finished before I finished.

Well if we used SAM, someone would eventually make a topic talking some nonsense about how we don't actually use snakes to assist us with our emulated slowdown cheating barrio dumptruck Fabians. Then the topic would explode. It's probably better to avoid this scenario.

You could probably find a Platinum Barrio in Blast Corps, if you did it fast enough, or Fabed it.

That's so odd that Samuel L. Jackson's going to be in a movie.

Zurreco, there's no need to discriminate. Your stupid idea is just as valid as the other much better ones that have been suggested, and the best one that has been selected (this being "Fabian").

In other news, my Fabian for Super Mario World (11-exit) should be done rather soon. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Y'all Fabers can't fuck with my Fabers, hoe.

I've always wondered if the games were really interestingly different enough to need two runs. By reading through the differences on Arc's submission, they don't seem to be to me. Of course, that leaves the question as to which version should be used. I'll stop commenting now.

Zurreco, you don't like TAS, but you like NATE? I don't think I'll be signing this petition. Although I do like the pseudo-racist-but-not-really idea. Y'all cheaters can't fuck with my cheaters, hoe. Reading "sluree" made me laugh a lot.

I think if FCMs weren't in some goofy compressed format, we wouldn't need Nesmock.

Yes, exactly. I can't figure out why there is so much savestate requesting. Just make your own, that way you know exactly where it is saved, and you don't have to copy/move/rename files. Seems like much less of a hassle to me.
