I would suggest the Big Boo fight from Super Mario World's short version.

I just wanted to say that I think it's good for the site when people go through the submission entries and give their opinion. It can often encourage new discussion, and bumping the topic to the top may show it to some people who didn't know about it before, but would be interested in checking it out, causing more discussion. All this discussion can help the submission head in a conclusive direction instead of still being labeled as "new".

Nico, keep in mind that just because someone does not like the run, doesn't mean they are insulting you as a person. I know it can be tough because a TAS project typically requires a lot of work (so it may feel like you are being attacked), but it's just the nature of the art; something that is entertaining to one person may not be to another. It's good that you were still able to get something out of the project for yourself - I personally think that's the most important part :)

Legoman, your signature is very depressing-sounding. You should make a happy one! Something that emphasizes your strengths and uses more smilies instead of frowns. As far as the game, I have no idea what it is, but a "veeerryyy long RPG" doesn't seem like an ideal TAS candidate, to me.

I thought it was pretty good, although it started getting old by the 3rd quarter to me. The end was great, but I guess I had expected things like safetys and missed field goal / extra point attempts. I'm not really sure how, but I think a better run could be done. I'm going to vote meh.

No, this isn't intended to replace the published video. You can get 100% items without saving the animals, and my goal was 100% items for fastest time. So saving these things is just a waste of time as far as my goals are concerned.

Oh you people want animals saved do you? HAHAHAHAHAHA (Note my wicked paintbrush skills.) Actually, that was mean, so here you go. This is simply a re-doing of the last couple rooms of the escape of the standard run, saving these awkward little creatures.

We should all answer questions by linking to other threads. It's so helpful.

I thought levels had different enemy layouts depending on the order they're played, meaning hex-editing isn't really an option. Just keep recording the run.

I believe Bisqwit has a utility that does exactly this (it may even be a feature of NesMock...but don't quote me on that).

Hmm...Blast Corps, perhaps? That game just flat-out fails on Mupen64.

Why doesn't everyone just make their own savestates as they watch the progress?

Time to answer my own topic. I keep a list on my page here, which seems to update and change around all the time, so rather than relisting it here, I'll just link to the list: My favorite runs by others As far as console runs, I like Metroid Prime's 22% run by Robert Nobles.

The "this is tool asissted" disclaimer? It doesn't show up until control is gained, after Princess blah blahs her letter and Lakitu wastes some more time.

Looks good, but if you know it is improvable, why not cancel and resubmit a faster version?
I don't know it's improvable...sorry if I mislead you, but what gave you that impression?
I'm not too happy about people selling their movies short.
I don't understand how I did this... Conclusion: I'm confused.

List top movies
I remeber this has been discussed, as the difference between a movie that is "good for beginners to watch" and a "favorite on the site". This would probably take awhile to implement into the site, so why not just start a topic about it for fun? No rules; you can post as many or as few runs as you'd like, by any author (yourself included), and they can be submitted, published, obsoleted, or even rejected runs. And if you have a console speedrun you really like, go ahead and list it here, why not? (I'd encourage linking to each run you list, although some will probably consider this too much work.)

For what it's worth, I'll put in my opinion that this run is a very star-deserving run, if not one of the most deserving.

Diman, I'm working on a different project currently. I'll have to see how things are going once I'm done with that. (Also I just now noticed this post, sorry for the late reply) Follow your signature :)

Um.. wow. Well, I've never played this game, nor do I understand how to play. So as you can imagine, my level of confusion is quite high. But whatever the hell you were doing, it sure was fast. (Except for when my emulator skipped, which was often.)

But, if only one Super Metroid movie can have a star, I'd prefer it go to the minimal percentage one.
Do you mean the any% (current starred) or the low% (14%)?

i do 1-2 identical to the TAS. Not too difficult you just have to figure out what to do. I can do it about 1/2 the time.
Wow. I can't do it half the time using frame advance.

Why couldn't I have gone to this school? I'd recommend NES Kirby, although that might take a good chunk of time.
