Alright, if you want me to be completely anal about it, then let's make it 00 Shurikens, Expert Difficulty, and no power-up collectiing. Oh, and no Ninjitsu usage. =P Truth be told, if you don't collect any Shurikens but do collect a Power Up, the game becomes way too easy. Being able to use just the katana really takes a lot of the challenge out of the game. However, I've never tried just sticking with the kunai and charge-slash moves.(IE, avoiding all power-ups in the game.) As for why this would be considered adding to the difficulty, it's simple. No projectiles. Period. You have no long-range attacks to work with, and thus, are limited to striking only those within your sweep and slash ranges. I can't explain it any better than that, Magi.

Nooope-nope-nope. . . If you're going to start with 00 Shurikens, you should stay with 00 Shurikens. I'm sorry, but you've failed my expectations. In my eyes, this is an automatic No. . . .is what I would be saying if that were truly fair. I'm sure this is a fine speed-run, but if I were to vote, I would have to vote No. Why am I not voting? Because. . . 1. I didn't watch the speed-run. 2. Even if I had, I wouldn't've liked it because he picked up and used Shurikens despite the fact he started out with none at all. I've been slapped on the wrist before for voting No for such anal reasons(see 2.), thus, I am not voting. However, I will reinforce my point a third time in saying that if I were to vote, it would be a No-vote. Sorry.

Ya know, seeing as you have to do so much in the first place, I want to see a full-inventory speed-run of this game. All Jiggies, all Notes, all Shop 'n Swap Items(the Eggs and the Ice Key), all Honeycombs. . . Everything. Why? Because I wanna see someone go freaking nuts trying to widdle their time down as far as physically possible. Kekekekee.

Why did you post that in a topic about Chou Makai Mura R? Anyhoo. . . That's what I was thinking. I've yet to find this so-called "new ending" in Arrange Mode, despite taking the absolute hardest courses each time, so if you were to play through Arrange Mode, you could do like. . . The first quest is the normal levels but on the hardest paths possible, then the second quest is the remake levels.(Level 2: Village of Decay/Town of Fire(Dai Makai Mura), Level 3: The Great Abyss/The Bridge of Fire(Makai Mura), and Level 4: The Graveyards/The Dark Forest(Makai Mura). Level 5 was a completely new stage.) Or something. I dunno.

That, and his Alcarde Spear pops up in Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight. People at The Castlevania Dungeon are under the belief that it's supposed to be spelled "Alucard Spear" in Vampire Killer, not "Alcarde Spear". I'm under the same belief regardless of the fact Alucard can't power the "Alucard Spear" up, according to what I've read.(I'll play through the game that far at some point, I'm sure. . .)

Thank you for your feedback on my feedback, Bisqwit. I am now truly convinced that, while it's physically possible to get just a few more frames shaved off of this run, it might not happen for a while.

Time for a brief run-down: Elecman's Stage: - No real comments here. Iceman's Stage: - I'm sort of torn here. You could just defeat the first two Crazy Razys with one shot each to their upper-bodies. Instead you chose to rapidly fire at their legs. I know jumping has a very slight delay to it, but still. . . Fireman's Stage: - No real comments here. Bombman's Stage: - No real comments here. Gutsman's Stage: - What the Hell did you do to those poor Pickelman robots?! Oh, I know. The same thing that happens to the Penpen Maker in Rockman 3 in Geminiman's stage. =P - . . .whoa. Never would'a thought of nuking Gutsman like that. Even though it's the same idea as with the Thunder Beam or Rolling Cutter. . . Cutman's Stage: - I don't know why you paused climbing those ladders in the Suzy-infested area. You weren't taking damage as far as I could see. I could easily be wrong, though. - I also don't know how you avoided those two spikes towards the end there, but nicely done. - And again with the Pause Weapon Glitch vs. Cutman. Dayum. Wily Fortress Stage 1: - Splendid way of clearing the grabbable blocks without much delay. - Really, really quick destruction of of the Yellow Devil. Nicely done. Wily Fortress Stage 2: - I don't even know what the Hell is going on during the later half of this part. I mean, I do, but I don't. Ya know? Either way, damned good way of dodging fights. - Isn't there a quicker way of taking care of Copy Rockman? Or is he that much like the original(game code-wise) that the pause-trick wouldn't work on him? Wily Fortress Stage 3: - Sweet Jesus, that glitch is insane. - I was initially going to mention that you could take out all of those things using just the four blocks there. . .but. . .you found a glitch that compensates for the lack of bricks. So. . . Wily Fortress Stage 4: - You spent a spare frame or two suspended in mid-air after fighting Gutsman, Hyper Bombs or not. - Dude! Psychotic method for nuking the Wily Machine! - I think I've found a good screenshot for the site now. The graphical glitch where it looks like ten Wilys are breaking off of the Wily Machine. XD General Comments: - Super-effective use of the Magnet Beam and pause glitches make this a very interesting spedrun indeed. Rockman literally flies through the game. It's astounding. Should This Movie Be Published?: Hell Yes. Reasoning for My Vote: See above. Or in short, this is a vast improvement over the original by leaps and bounds. Comments? Critique?: Nothing further than aforementioned. Anything Else?: Not that I can think of. If you need specific enemy names, though, I can give you most of them.

What issues? As far as I know, reflection, rotating/moving large sprites(Stage 2), and "shattered preception"/upside-down. . .ing. . .,(various areas of Block 6) are perfectly emulated in GENS. What other issues are there?

The only things I can really suggest is allowing the Weasels to tail you as you're driving around Toon Town in Benny(so that way you can drive faster) and ending the movie on the very last key input as opposed to just before the ending text. For now, I'm going to have to vote No, even though it was a remarkable speed run. Sorry.

Ah, Dune... Precursor to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn... This game, much like Star Control, is like twenty times better on the PC or Amiga. Regardless, it seems to be a pretty faithful port of a classic game. I'd be interested to see this game speed-ran. Unfortunately, I don't know of any tricks or anything for this game.

There it went. Let's see... *watches the video* ...huh. That's a weird one. I can't see any real uses for it, myself...but still. Interesting find.

Alright, here's yet another request of mine. Seeing as I'm probably never going to play the PC version though(and don't an Amiga), I'd like to see this odd version played. Don't get me wrong, it's the real game as the PC and Amiga versions. However, it uses the Amiga version's VGA(?) graphics. . .or maybe it uses unique graphics. . .one of the two. This game was also released on the MegaDrive and even released on the Super Famicom in Japan. It's the second story of Sheltem's escape and rampage, taking place on the artificial world of CRON(Central Research Observational Nacelle). It seems Sheltem has driven the would off its natural course and has it hurtling into the sun! Only eight brave warriors can stop this from happening. . . So yeah. Like Eye of the Beholder, it's a "dungeon crawl". I like the Might and Magic series quite a lot and would love to see this speed-ran.

I somehow neglected to mention that this speed run is done insanely fast. I honestly didn't realize just how easy it was to complete the game if you know exactly where everything is at any given time. Superb job on dodging the Toon Patrol every time they popped up.(Which does indeed seem like every minute on the minute. . .) Half the finished movie is probably going to be beating the stuffing out of Doom, though. . . As mentioned, he's one tough sonovagun.

Yeah. I spat a crutial spoiler about the movie a several minutes ago, but decided to remove it because. . .and it pains me to say this. . .Food is right. It's not like telling someone Darth Vader's "big secret" from The Empire Strikes Back. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is a little more obscure than that.(And hasn't been really publicized or anything since 1988, aside from a seemingly unnoticed DVD release.)

Oh, I did forget to mention this. There's a trick you can use to keep your Power Punch charge. Simply punch, then hit the B button again. Repeat as necessary. It seems like only Power Punches hurt Judge Doom. . .[Spoiler removed] Edit: Was gonna make another post in responce to Evil Food, but for once, I'm just going to crumple like tinfoil.

I want to see someone beat this game, much like someone beat Chou Makai Mura. Choose the hardest paths in Arrange Mode and have at it. It's a piece of cake if you just keep your Golden Armor on. I'd do it myself, but I have nary the patience. Edit: Added US title. Maybe people were ignoring this topic because they didn't recognize the game title. . .

Yeah. . .you know what I'm talking about. The one, the only. . .Hammerin' Harry! . . .no. Bad Dudes. Yes, Bad Dudes. Why doesn't this game have a Superplay yet? There's more than enough free-scrolling in the game, I'd think. Plus there's probably a buttload of glitches to exploit in the Famicom version. So c'mon! Are you bad enough to save the president? I mean. . .do this Superplay?

I think this movie was done exceedingly well. I've never played "Seirei Densetsu Lickle"/"Little Samson" before, but even I can tell this was done beautifully. I vote Yes.

Alright. I know someone's going to yell at me for this, but I'm reviving this topic because, not only do I want to see this run completed(well. . .refined), but I have some slight insight which may or may not already be implemented into the existing time-attack.(I can't view it properly. I don't have the odd, numbered (U) ROM. Anymore, that is. I deleted it just yesterday, for some reason or another. I'm an idiot. . .)
  • Spider-Man Well, the only thing I can really say is that Spider-Man has very little. . .and I mean like maybe five frames or less. . .of shot-delay when he's in the air. If he's jumping, as fast as you can hammer the button is as fast as he fires. While this isn't exceptionally useful, I'm sure it's at least somewhat useful.
  • Cyclops As a slight reminder, the more Health Cyclops has, the faster he can rapid-fire his Optic Beam. However, if you can manage it, punching and kicking everything seems to work just as well. Better, in some cases, such as vs. Sentinels and Guards. He also punches quite a bit faster in mid-air, as well as having automatic rapid-fire punches by holding the button. No advice for vs. Master Mold.
  • Wolverine Lots of things to say here. Firstly, he strikes quite a bit faster in the air than anywhere else. This is tremendously useful when jumping platforms or just taking out those stupid Gangster-in-a-Boxes you find all over the place. Secondly, vs. Apocalypse, if you jump and strike just as the two of you collide in mid-air, you won't take any damage, but he will! This helps immensely considering how much damage he can do. Unfortunately, I have no real useful advice for Juggernaut. . .
  • Storm Nothing to say here at all, unfortunately. I've yet to find anything even remotely helpful.
  • Gambit/Storm(on Land) Only one thing I can really say here. Enemies that are hit by Gambit's cards(or Storm's lightning bolts) blink and stop doing anything.(This even applies to the Black Queen's arms and head in Gambit Level 2, but does not apply to Arcade's Robots) Try to use this to your advantage.
'kay. Sorry to revive this ancient topic. . .but like I said. I'm interested.

Yeah, there's something that could save time, as odd as it seems. If you find a Guard animal sitting on an item, you can generally just use the Spring Shoes to get said item. I don't know if it's possible to hop back once you land on the item, but either way, it. . .no, wait. That wouldn't save time at all. Just Wallets and some searching in mouseholes, trash cans, etc. . . There's a good five-second delay between lives, if I recall right, so. . . I dunno. It might save on the overall time, or it might not.

I know what the Portable Hole does now. Drop it in front of Psycho if you have to fight him. He'll fall right in and you score an easy 1,000 Points without even breaking a sweat. Crowbars are also used to bust locks off of locked buildings, but it's kind of tricky to do. You have to be at the maximum distances below the lock, then throw upward. That should do it. Also, I've never been able to find the damned dynamite. Is it in Los Angeles? I figure it must be because there aren't any buildings in The Hills, and you can't get too Toontown unless you blast the wall. Finally, here's a trick for dodging the Toon Patrol. When you hear the warning siren and you're in Benny the Cab, hop out and wait.(Or, for time-attack purposes, hop out on the key-frame when the Weasels make their entrance.) They'll walk in instead of driving in using Judge Doom's truck. You can easily run them over or simply drive away instead of having to dodge and weave in and out of roads. However, it might be somewhat advisable to let them chase you in their truck. You go about twice as fast, which means you'll be able to get from Point A to Point B all the easier if you can keep in control. Just make sure to keep the Toon Patrol's truck just off-screen, or even leave it on-screen, but a distance away so when you run head-long into traffic, they don't end up catching you. That's just my six cents and a haypenny.

Judge Doom did, in the end. . .and you can help prove Roger's innocence by tracking down Marvin Acme's will. It's split in four pieces all around Hollywood and Toontown, not to mention the outlaying areas. But watch out because Judge Doom's sent the Toon Patrol after you! Help Roger Rabbit escape the Weasels and defeat Judge Doom to free Toontown from corporate conglomoration once and for all! Another Rareware game that's bound to be full of glitches and whatnot. Find'em, use'em, make a speed-run of this awesome game with an equally-awesome soundtrack. Pretty please. . .? T_T;
