I have to ask. Are we going to see anymore of this run up on Youtube at all? :3

Probably. I never really compared the two versions. I rented the N64 version once, but overall, didn't care much for it. Probably because it didn't come with the instruction manual, and with strategy games sometimes they tend to over complicate the controls.

I would totally skip over the Wizard, then. Lioghtning Bolt is likely going to be very mana consuming in a TAS, and unless you plan to manipulate Mana Potions from every kill, I don't think you're going to make it very far. I would go for the Ranger, like the speed run of one of the home console versions did on SDA. Arrows are probably easier to manipulate, and will probably deal more damage in the long run as long as you can manipulate a powerful bow to drop every now and then.

I really hope the desync issues don't keep popping up. I watched the first 7 segments on Youtube, and I like how the TAS is going. :3 I hope to see it finished some day. ;3

The Sorceress would be a poor choice for a Speed Run or TAS. She wouldn't really get any worthwhile spells over the course of a TAS. Not unless you plan to grind a ton of enemies. Your best bet would either be the Fighter or the Ranger. But let's face it. Later on you'll be so under leveled, that one hit likely WILL kill you. And...Lightning Bolt isn;t that great. Lightning Ball is way better if that spell happens to be in this version of the game. It can take down several enemies in a single cast. But...Last I checked, in the PSX/GC versions of the game, the final boss is immune to most, if not all spells. So, really, the Sorceress has her downsides for a run of this game. But if her level gets high enough, she can be your most powerful character in the game. You might wanna see if there is a boss faq for this version of the game on gamefaqs, maybe the final boss has a weakness to a certain spell.

THis was really well done, but I think it would be more interesting to see all of the difficulty classes/all tracks TASed on this game.

Sorry, but I couldn't give this a yes vote. I was well done, so I gave it a Meh. Honestly, all of the glitching through the floors and stuff put me to sleep, literally. It was amusing for about five minutes when you started doing it, then it just got boring. I really had more fun at the beginning of the TAS with that shield glitch. Funny to watch Alucard flying like that.

I've always wanted to see this game completed at 100%. I wish you luck. ^^

I'm giving this run a Meh. It's really an impressive run, however, I also found it to be extremely boring. Hence the Meh, instead of a yes.

This game really plays more like Bubble Bobble than Milon's secret Castle. And I mean that in a good way. :3

Oooh. You mean you're gonna TAS this one too, Sami? Should be awesome! :3

I played this game a little bit. Once you get over some of it's flaws, like using HP for magic, it's really pretty decent. I did keep up with some of the WIPs for a while, so I'm giving it a yes vote based off of those since there isn't a Encode up yet. :3

I don't think you're going to find anyone to give you the code here, either. I would if I knew it, but I don't.

Personally, I found the video to be extremely boring. But then again, I'm not really a fan of fighting games, either.

It's really amazing to see how far Duke Nukem has come since his Dos debut. Yes vote. :3

Hmmm... I wonder if runs using and not using the infinite flutter glitch should both be published separate from each other. Kind of like how Mario runs that use and not use Warp Pipes/Cannons/Whistles are.
I think they should. Because I think the infinite flutter glitch being used throughout the Yoshi levels would qualify as heavy glitch abuse. I still haven't been able to pull it off myself, but I didn't really need it at all.

I mentioned something about that in a previous post, but rather than Luigi starting at Star 121, you can start him at Star 72 (after you beat Bowser in world 6 the first time). Just save all Luigi-exclusive shortcuts for stars 72+. By the way, those green stars are evil; many of them have a "Catch me or you die" type of position.
Hm, using Luigi from 72+ Stars works for me.

Sometimes I fell that Luigi is faster than Mario, but I can't confirm that. Tests are needed.
Luigi IS faster than Mario. He jumps higher for one which makes for good shortcuts, runs faster once he gets up to running speed, and his Dash Jump is far superior. I noticed this back in the first game. I can guarantee you, giving Mario and Luigi their own 100% TASes for the first game, Luigi's will probably be a few minutes or so faster.

Okay, so beating the game with 120 stars opens green Prankster Comets with hidden green stars everywhere. Actually...That could probably be a 100% Luigi TAS right there. Just use Mario up until 120 stars, beat Bowser, then switch to Luigi to get all the green stars.

On a side note. That little Luma has got some guts stealing Mario's hat like that!

I didn't have any trouble really with the game until I reached the Special World. First game I had trouble pretty much starting at world. I currently have 117 Stars in this game. This Flip Out Galaxy is nuts. Edit: Now at 120 stars, and about to take Final Bowser down for the second time to unlock the green galaxies or whatever unlocks. xD

Anyone else besides me really like the revamped Ghost House music for the Boo levels? Edit: I've also noticed, this game is a ton easier than the first.

Upon some research of the Prankster Comets, once they start to appear, one or two seem to appear for every 2 Comet Medals.

Oh, and on the Fluzzard Stage I mentioned above, you can easily get both the Comet Coin and beat the course in under 1:09 with no mistakes.
