Yes, two players would definately make watching a no warps TAS more fun.

I watched your WIP last night, but I was too tired to type a comment. We got a new Puppy yesterday and the little bugger is so full of energy she's wearing me out. It's awesome to see the first world complete! I have no doubt you can make World 2 look this great! :3

Personally, I don't see the big deal about translation patches. All they do is change the damn language! I for one still think that a TAS using the English Translation would be best, it would allow everyone to follow along and understand what the hell is going on.

I hope we can some day get a functioning Dreamcast Emulator. It would be fun to see TASes for the Phantasy Star Online games. :3

I just gotta ask. Has a 100% run had any planning done to it lately? I remember the last time someone was trying to do it, I think they may have stopped due to difficulties.

I'm glad the site and community aren't going anywhere. I visit here so many times a day that this site and forum are a big part of my life. I always look forward to seeing new TASes, even on games that have already been done. In terms of speed vs. entertainment, I say it's not impossible to have both. Great job on the April Fools Joke. It scared the hell out of me yesterday and ruined my night.

I just know I'm going to miss seeing new TASes once this website is gone. I've seen a lot of my favorite games TASed here. Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Secret of Evermore...Now that it's coming to an end I'm feeling depressed... I am just glad I managed to save a bunch of them to either a Hard Drive or several burnable CDs. I do hope that the community can be salvaged. Or perhaps a new community will rise up some day. This Site is one of my most visited websites. I visit usually at least three or four times a day. This is just too big to overcome right now. You guys and your TASes will be missed by me.

I personally really enjoy this game. I still haven't had much luck playing it by emulator, cause I can never get the controls right. But I would definately watch a TAS.

This is a rather fun game to play for the NES. I remember fondly sitting on my butt for hours, beating the tar out of cyclops cavemen and rolling stone wheels. xD But I have to wonder. Would it make a good TAS? I would certainly watch it, though I think a No Warps TAS would be more enjoyable. What do you all think?

Well, I look forward to seeing the finished product. Aside from the PC and C64 versions, this is among the best of the series. And yes, I do say the C64 version. It's like the NES and Atari port, but it's a lot better. I watched a Long Play for it and was quite entertained.

Hell, you can make a lot of progress in just a few minutes a day. But really. Keep it up. This is the TAS I'm looking forward too the most. One of my favorite N64 games. :3

Your Any% TAS looks quite optimal to me. And finally, more than one person agrees with me on a 100% TAS. xD

Captain Forehead, I just watched the last WIP, I meant to watch it yesterday but I got consumed in EverQuest. I LOVE it! You're making a 100% TAS for this game look easy!

How about some 100% Twisted Metal runs? :3 You know, of the ones on the PSX.

I hope this TAS gets finished. This is like, the only good Ghostbusters game on older consoles, aside from maybe the one for C64.

We had these games when I was younger, and I always wondered what a 100% run would entail.

About the only thing that I thought sucked about this game, is the Magic System. I mean, using HP instead of MP for magic? Come on! Other than that flaw, it's a good game.

Hi everybody Im from brazil n i really enjoy watching tas. Its very beautiful n very hard to make. I could notice by visiting tasvideos.org that a lot of people tried DK2 n DK1 full but until today there is not even one attempt on DK3 105% n i would like to know why. Is it too hard or too long? is it not so interesting as DK2? Whats the reason it took so long? ps: sorry for my bad english..lol :-)
Well, from what I understand, there are a lot of variables. And I believe it is a rather hard game to TAS, apparently even harder than some N64 games. About all I can say is try to wait patiently. I'm still waiting patiently for the 100% SMW2 TAS.

Bleh. I don't wanna play this game again for a long, long time. I finally completed the game 100%, all 242 stars. The game is fun and all, but when trying to get all the purple coin stars, the game can be damn frustrating, especially when you're playing in real time. I certainly won't envy whomever may take up the task of TASing this game at 100%. The hardest purple coin star by far is In The Bone Pen. 100 purple coins in 1 minute. Grr. Edit: Oh, and I believe Luigi's stats are different enough to warrant a Luigi run. As far as I can visibly see, he runs about twice as fast as Mario. Definately jumps higher, a LOT higher. And he's got a Dash Jump(Z+A), that knocks Mario's out of the water. However, from what I've seen, it looks like Luigi is not as proficient at holding his breath as Mario is. He's also really slow to come to a complete stop, likes to slide about another foot. And it takes him about half a second to start running from a complete stop. However, after seeing Luigi's speed for myself, I believe a Luigi run will in fact be faster than a Mario run.
