There is a difference between the published run and this one, and it's that the published run didn't use any warps where as this one did. I doubt I'm gonna vote. I was entertained up until the warp, then I just kinda fell out of it. I really don't think this TAS should replace the current run because of the use of warps. It should at least have it's own category.

Personally, I would rather see a 100%. But then again, my overall preferences for speed runs is 100%, anyway. :3

I would watch a Any% and a 100% TAS for this game. This game isn't as good as the first, but it's still a decent game.

In some cases, passwords are accepted. I believe if it's ever finished, the DKC3 100% TAS uses a password for hard difficulty. I believe the new Loderunner GBA TAS uses a password also. It just depends on the game and what the password does.

Well, I watched the first half hour, and I was thuroughly entertained, even though this isn't a 100% run. Anyway, yes vote.

Hm...I guess I don't know this game too well anymore. I think the last time I played it was about 8 years ago. x.x

I hate to nag, but 4050/4000 is a bit too obviously suboptimal. I would recommend restarting from before the skewers and skipping that blue crystal right before the heart. It will look much better, and the platform at the top of the tower will probably be in a better position. Other than that, your work is much higher quality than previously. Make sure to pay attention to points you could be scoring while waiting. (Secret room was a bit obvious that you should be killing things on the bottom of the level while riding around the top. You did better in Sky Room.) Good quality overall, just pay attention to level routing a bit more.
I think skipping anything would eliminate the purpose of a 100% run... >.> Some levels actually have more points than what they should.

I'm not. You're a generation ahead of the curve, Kitsune. Jak and Daxter was for the PlayStation 2.
Oh crap! You're right! xD I have NO idea where my head has been at lately. xD Geez. I can't believe I made that mistake. I HAVE the game, too. Durr.

I'm surprised a thread for this magnificent game hasn't been made yet. I mean, since PSX TASing has finally taken off, this game is a MUST! Any% or 100%, either would be acceptable I'm guessing. But I have to ask, any estimates on how long a 100% TAS would take? I mean, on SDA they've been saying a 100% run could take over ten hours, but I'm not buying that. I mean, with a optimal route, it could probably be done in 4 hours, maybe less. So what are your thoughts?

The only thing the new Thousand Year Door Speed RUn doesn't do, is speed up by jumping through the backgrounds. I mean, it's been proven that jumping in the foreground doesn't do squat, but jumping is visibly faster in the background.

Oh my god! I have to admit, I was in a pretty foul mood, but after seeing this, my foul mood vanished. It's better than I imagined a TAS of this game would be. And people were saying a 100% TAS would be boring. Hell, I stayed entertained throughout the whole WIP. Keep it up!

Well, I just found an interesting new trick. When your jumping from a land onto another part of land that's close to a ledge, lay your bomb down right before you fall down the ledge and soon, you will fall even faster than before! I guess it does pay to do a 100% run. Speaking of which, I'm about half way through Sky Room. I'll try finishing it this week and send a WIP when I can.
Whoa! You're actually working on a 100% TAS of this game? I think I started this thread about two years ago. xD I just haven't bothered checking back cause I thought it was dead. Glad to see I was wrong. :3 Edit: Wow, I started this thread almost FIVE years ago. Guess it pays to wait. xD

I'd like to see a TAS of this myself. It's one of the games the Angry Video Game Nerd reviewed during Halloween time a couple years back. And the video looks pretty well done to me thus far.

Wii Sports would probably be interesting. Particularly the Bowling Challenges.

Heh, this game was also reviewed by the Angry Video Game Nerd. xD According to him, the game suffers from some really bad controls as far as the Grappling Hook. Anyway, enjoyed the run, so gave it a yes vote.

I hope this one will be able to play Gauntlet Legends. I've been rather patient up til now I think.

I don't really know much about computers. All I know is I bought a Nvidia Video Card when I upgraded it. And whatever is going on, whenever I try to use the 64x version, it keeps saying my system can't open it, so... Edit: Also, I think you read my specs wrong for my Processor. It's a 2.71GHz Dual Core.

I wish I COULD use 64x, but my computer can't run it, so... I'm still waiting on a new usable version of Dolphin, though.

I'm sorry, but I can't in all honesty give this a yes vote. While it was well done, I couldn't stand watching it for more than 6 minutes. Unfortunately I found it to be rather boring.

Meh, the video is a little boring to watch, but I guess it's good enough to earn a yes vote.

Well, I'm gonna give this emulator a try, first, then I'll check out the one they release next. :3 Thanks for the link, by the way. Edit: Well, this Emulator does work better than the current one I had. It runs Mario Kart Double Dash at 55+ FPS in menus and start screens, but only between 29.5-31FPS in races. I think it has to be the video plugin, since my computer should be able to run it at full speed.

Try a new revison because mine plays with sound and no graphical issues.
I would try a new revision, but I can't tell an old download from a new one the way they have their download section set up on the website.

How about mine? I mean, it can run Ghostbusters the Video Game and Borderlands without trouble. My specs are: AMD Athlon 7750 Dual Core Processor. 2.71GHz, 2.00GB RAM. I've been meaning to increase my RAM, though. I think mainly, the Dolphin Emulator is still in it's early stages, so we're probably expecting too much in terms of good FPS and such.
