Well...It has been a while, and I was wondering if there's been any progress for this emulator.

I gave this a yes vote. It was intersting to see more than 3 power ups used in a Kirby TAS for a change. xD

Just so people know, me and Baxter went ahead with (2). The two restrictions we decided to follow are: -No warping of any kind (be it left+right warping or warping to 1-1.) -No 1/1ing. We believe the inclusion of these two restrictions will ultimately produce a more entertaining run overall. The run is now actively being worked on and we'll release a WIP once 1-4 is complete.
I think those are two good restrictions for a 100% TAS of this game. I mean, an Any% is entertaining, but I always felt that a 100% of this game would be more entertaining if done without warps and such. I can hardly wait to see the WIP.

If there is one that is.
I don't see why there won't be. All of the games have done really well, so I doubt they'll stop playing with a winning formula.

Well, hopefully she makes it into the next Smash Bros. game.

Well, at least she's a playable character somewhere. I was so disappointed when she didn't make it into Brawl, instead we got that wuss, Wolf.

Isn't Krystal a playable character in this game too?

No offense, but an X7 run will be extremely boring to watch. The SDA X7 run literally put me to sleep.

I'd love to see anything but another Shining Force game. Shining in the Darkness was good, but the later RPG/Strategy games are just so boring.

There are far more boring runs than this that have been published, so I'm giving it a yes vote.

Any admins that see this, could you change my no vote to a yes vote?

Sorry to say, but I got bored just watching the Test Run. I guess I'm tired of all of the Super Mario World Speed Runs since they all pretty much use the same Cape strategy through most of the game. Just once, I'd like to see a speed run that uses the Fire Flower through most of the run. Except where the cape is absolutely needed. Ah well.

I would vote, except the movie keeps desyncing on me. It might help next time if you list the emulator you used in the submission information... Edit: Just so no one has the same trouble I did, the movie runs fine on Gens11a. Edit: Okay, I'm voting yes on this. Seeing Dark Sol dance was worth watching this whole thing. xD

Just thought I would bump this old thread, seeing as how I'll be moving starting tomorrow. Hopefully, it will draw some interest by the time I get back on Sunday. :3

Is this game even TASable yet with Mupen? If it is, then where is the fix for Gauntlet Legends? On a more related note, I am looking forward to seeing a 100% TAS of this game, since it's bound to be much shorter than the SDA run.

Strangely enough, I just upgraded my computer about a month back, and now Desmume runs at near peak speed. All I did was upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and a dual core 1.7ghz processor with new Mother Board.
This makes no sense. I have 4 gigs of ram and dual core 2.xish ghz processor for my laptop, and it still runs at 40% most of the time.
Well, maybe it has something to do with my new Mother Board? I dunno. It's weird to me, too.

If you do a Subspace Emissary TAS, you might as well make it a 100% TAS. I mean, the only real difference between an ANY% and a 100% is a few extra doors and a few extra characters. Not that a any% TAS wouldn't be just as fun to watch.

I didn't have v3 of the Emulator yet, so that was part of my problem. I hope we get one that supports The Real Ghostbusters soon, though. :3

Well, that'll fix the problem for two of the games, but I still can't play the original X-Men game or The Simpsons. Those would probably be a couple of the more fun games that would make for entertaining TASes.

I'm kinda confused as to why the Emulator only seems to support SOME versions of roms, and doesn't even list some of them. Because of which, I can't play the versions of D&D: SOM, D&D: TOD, X-Men, The Simpsons or Gauntlet I have.

I think I'll just wait for controller support. All of the information on that page just confuses me. xD

Has anyone worked on putting Controller Support on one of these emulators as of yet?

I'd love to see a Luigi TAS. Luigi doesn't get enough recognition!

I'm all four a 1-4p TAS myself. I loved this game when I was a child. Although...I never beat it for some reason. I always wanted to, but I never had the game for very long. Always had to rent and return..
