For what it's worth, I'm with you on using the U ROM. There is no reason to use E.

There should really be a link right under where it says the movie's rating on the the movie page.
There has always been a link right next to the rating. See Atma's picture here. You must be logged in to see this link.

The encoders already have a huge project in encoding all the accepted movies. I don't see why this kind of further fooling around is necessary.

In my opinion getting zero powerups doesn't add any coolness to the movie, only takes some away.

Just because YOU have never heard of it means that it's automatically a bad hack? Limit is pretty inventive and a whole lot of fun to TAS. If you haven't checked out my unfinished 100% walkthrough yet, check here. It was never intended to be more than a walkthrough and I was following the FAQ to the letter so I did no actual route planning. EDIT: Ah, it seems you've already seen it. Well best of luck to you if you ever decide to make a complete TAS of it.

I was surprised at how much more entertaining your run is in comparison to WB's. Awesome job!

Do you seriously call SMB3 "Ess Emm Bee Three"?
Yes I do. SirVG: No one is claiming that "an Super Mario bros. 3 hack" is correct. Of course it is "a Super Mario bros. 3 hack". But if you spell it SMB3, then it is an SMB3 hack, because there really is only one way of saying SMB3, and that's "Ess Emm Bee Three" as many people have said.

No, it is an SMB3 hack. It is different from a Super Mario Bros. 3 hack. Just like there is a Nintendo Entertainment System and an NES (unless you really want to pronounce it "nes" instead of "en-ii-es").

Silmarillion is one of my all-time favorites. The LOTR is pretty good too. For some sci-fi reading Iain M. Banks' culture series is a must. The first in the series, Consider Phlebas, is really awesome. From your list I've only read Catcher in the rye and frankly I was really disappointed. To me it was just boring.

Because it's basically just the same run all over again. The only difference is that running will be a bit faster. EDIT: On the other hand, the glitched run is not its own publication but just a reference in the real movie description, so I think it'll be okay if that's improved as well. IMO it wouldn't even have to be encoded into .avi.

Ok, Kyrsimys. I've spoken with President Bush and he agrees that the conditions in Finland are deplorable.
Wow, I didn't know there was oil in Finland. Or maybe he decided to invade our country because of our enormous storages filled with chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. Yeah, that must be it. Oh, and nice plan, looks like you've got all corners covered.

I don't think I'll watch this, I think I'll just wait until you get the 4th version done.

This one? To me it clearly looks like it was done with a computer. It doesn't seem plausible that those tires could make it up a plank that steep. It looks like they're actually gaining speed rather than losing it.

I haven't played the Toon Machine but I did pretty recently play good old TIM 3, which was released after the Incredible Toon Machine. It's nice because it works without a hitch in Windows.

Glad you improved this, now it's really on the same level as nitsuja's run.

Finland could easily get along with a considerably smaller army than it has now. If a war were to break out now, not even 1/4 of the men would be called to fight. That everyone has to serve is total bullsh*t and exists only because there are old fashioned politicians sitting in the parliament (and the fact that there are still WW2 veterans around is a contributing factor as well). I'm not saying we abandon defense, just make serving voluntary. It is a solution that could actually work in practice, it's not just utopistic pacifist-babble. EDIT: And of course making civilian service the same length as armed service would be the next best thing.

FODA, I'm pretty sure you're just joking but I'll say it anyway: If we all thought like that there would be no contracts banning nuclear, biological or chemical weapons and you could purchase a gun in every street corner. Is that what you want?

The civilian service is over twice as long as the armed service! That's the problem. It is not fair that people who are against guns or violence have to suffer because of their conviction. EDIT: And the analogy may be a bit over the top but it makes you think about things from the other perspective. You can think anything that goes against your principles instead of having sex with a man. Would you kill a man? Throw nuclear waste into a river? Torture an animal? Harm an innocent person? Wouldn't you feel like you had been punished for having a certain opinion if you chose the community service?

Serving your country, HAH! The soldiers are only consuming our contry's resources, not serving it. If you want to serve your country you should do civilian service which is basically a year of free labour for the country.

Sorry if I'm being blunt but what if you had to choose between having sex with a big hairy man or doing community service for a year? It's a free choice too but how many straight men would go for it? I'm certain they would see it as quite unfair.

Not to mention that the input file is a lot smaller and from many aspects easier to use.
