This game's fairly dull and slow-paced. I think a TAS would be lon g(40+min?)

Its a "speed versus entertainment" question. The stage looks way too easy and boring without rotating the screen. And.. which current wip is that you're talking about?
The one I'm working on, that now has to be redone. In mine, I use the sword to kill all the little brown enemies that I can.

This is about as much of a TAS as Wario Ware. But this'll be much more fun to watch.

I love how the Sonic Advance 1, 2, and 3 runs are all so different, and impressive in their own way. Thumbs very up.

pirate_sephiroth, I think my 1-1 and chick saving sequences (in current WIP) are faster. by doing the rotation, you lost some frames you could get at the planes. Alas, the rest of your WIP says something about fire's effectiveness.

It's nice to see people interested in this idea. I'll make a movie sometime soon too.

[13:29:34] <_LSK_> one day I was bored of my old internet name, InsertNameHere. so when I entered IRC for the first time, my name was QAZWSCEDCRFVTGBYHNUJMIIOLP. [13:29:41] <_LSK_> the mod asked me to shorten it. [13:29:51] <JX_> another song recorded! yay [13:29:55] <_LSK_> so I became QAZWSXEDCRFVTGBYHN. [13:29:58] <JX_> what an anal mod!!! [13:29:59] <JX_> lol [13:30:01] <_LSK_> still too long. [13:30:09] <_LSK_> so I became LeftSideofKeyboard [13:30:15] <_LSK_> which eventually became LSK [13:30:30] <JX_> hahaha that's one of the coolest name stories I've ever heard!

So who's interested in this contest, to the extent that they'd actually make an entry?

Try to figure out which games are closer in length. If Double Dragon 2 is longer than RCR, you can take advantage of the fact that jump attacks slow down RCR.

Note: If I went with DD2/RCR it would be possible to do a dual two-player simultaneous run, but this would prove insanely difficult. Among other problems, my keyboard often can't read the sort of input that would be required for two players to simultaneously hold right, B and A. I have a gamepad that might make it easier, but the Fceu version that can use background input doesn't detect gamepad presses unless I'm using it as the current window. >:/ Suffice to say, it's probably not going to happen, and it's probably not going to be any more cool than a normal dual-run anyway.
If you do a 2-player run, you can probably use auto-hold.

I need help with the 3 guys in 2-2. I can beat them, but it takes forever.

Aren't our usernames already custom? Do you mean titles?

I know that a contest isn't exactly a thing this site would have, but if anyone's interested in participating in a prizeless one, I have a proposition: Make the most interesting 1-minute movie you can, in any game. You can start from a savestate, and you probably will end up doing so. I have no idea who'll judge it, but it'll be fun.

The run isn't perfect, and I think that's a legitimate reason enough to keep it as a WIP. However, it's still the best OoT TAS out there and most people found it entertaining. I'm glad it was published and made into a video that I could enjoy. Future runs will no doubt obsolete this run, but I think it's a great starting point worthy of publication. Also, you shouldn't let TSA's trollbait get you all bent out of shape. Also, it would be nice to hear some thorough, constructive remarks instead of hostile ones.
This run was fun to watch! Let's see another!

Oh, sorry, forgot about those. I'd love a run with 2 gameboys, though.

You can't get 151 pokemon in one game. If you could only emulate 2 gameboys and trade... it would be quite impressive to have a 2-game run.

Are you guys so prejudiced and blind-sighted (some of you, not all) that you really think I'm a bickering because of the "TAS vs Speedrun" issue? I could give a rat's ass about that debate, it's stupid and unrelated. (long rant)
If the run's bad, it'll get obsoleted. You're not going to get it obsoleted sooner by insulting the people who made it.

As far as LSK's speedrunning goes thought ( as far as whats been posted ) I REALLY hope that was just a playthought and nothing more...I saw a few parts that were well done but others...( What WERE you thinking on Moon2?!?! That pole costed you QUITE a few seconds! @w@;; ) were just PAINFUL to bare...;-; Im sure by now thought that you've updated your run to be alot better ;) But please do Hard as all normal has is stronger weapons and less enamys, and in my mind thats not all that entertaining ;-;
It's being redone; the "WIP" was just a practice to see what could be done.

I'm not sure about LSK's run, but mine's doing fine. I'm playing with Blue, Hard mode, no damage.
I take a 1 month break and now everyone's playing my game? Wow. By the way - no damage is basically the default for this run unless there's a way to save time with damage, which I doubt there is.

Trouble: My strategy for 1-1 involves missing some shots. I tried doing it without, but it takes time for the gun to start up so I end up not killing as quickly.

My school's finals are over, and thus I now have the time to work on this again. I'll likely be starting from scratch, as I know of many optimizations that need to be done.
