I think myself, that many things can improved. You can see in the last Boss-fight, that it can be done 30 seconds faster like TheAxeMan shows. This was my first try for a speedrun. So I have not much practice with Frame Advance and how this all work exact. My later runs are much better now. The text scrolling is to bad in this run. Not as fast as possible. Ok, maybe only some Frames missing, but this in every message and text. So there you can save maybe too some seconds or minutes. And I don't know which Level is the best. I think I Level-Up to much in this one. Not sure which Level do you need for the spikes and the Lava. At the other side, every Boss is faster defeated with every Level you are higher. But the Level-Up take to some time. So it must be very hard to find the right balance here. Its a hard game to run, not the run through Stages, this was easy and as fast as possible most, but Boss Fight are hard (for me). So many different choices what you can do. When you attack first, where you must stand and everything else. I think you must do near all in Frame Advance. I have try and done it too, but most I press the wrong button at the wrong time and lose many time here. I do it in all later runs now everytime when you must press a button. So I know it is a hard work. For example the last Stage in Gargoyles Quest which takes in the movie only 2 minutes I worked maybe 1 hour or longer on it, all with Frame Advance. But you will see this work. And for a Adventure which will take for sure over 1 hour you must work much harder then I have done it here. So I hope, that maybe someone else will try this great game to run. Or that I find someday maybe the motivation to try it again with much harder work for myself. I have not much idea how much time you can save. Maybe 10-20 minutes. But only a guess.

I ask because I am not sure. I have not done it yet by my TAS runs. So does it count, when I vote for some from my own TAS runs? Or is this forbidden at all? And another question does anybody else vote for there own TAS runs, when its allowed?

Two things jump out at me: -The tower where you get the Gremlin Stick and Buster, near the beginning, there is some wall jumping where you fly between two walls when you could've scaled a single wall. It probably wastes about a second. Or am I missing some reason why you did that? -Talking to the 3 extra characters at the ending wasn't really worth the time loss in terms of input time. It's true that watching the ending is nice, but they didn't exactly add a lot of entertainment value.
1. No you miss nothing. Someone else on this board see this errors too already and post it in the Thread about this game (when you mean the same place). As I say in my post it contain some little errors, but someone else in this Board and I found them to late as I already done many other parts from this game. It take me much work to finish this run and I was a bit frustrated near the middle. Was longer and harder then I think before and near the complete movie is done with Frame Advance. So I have not the motivation to do all again for some little errors, which save maybe only some little Frames or only some seconds. I am happy, that I finally finish this run now myself and that it looks so good at all. Was much harder then all my longer runs which I did before. Because every Frame is important here. Jump for 1 or 2 Frames are different, stop flying 1 Frame earlier or later, everything in the Action Stages are important. So its much harder then some other games which I have try to run. Sorry about the end and talking with all characters. Maybe when more think its not worth, I can delete this part. But I like it to show the complete ending in this game, because you can't do much more after this. And I think it cost too not much time at all, because they all say not much and I did this as fast as possible like all other talking sequences. And thanks for the votes so far.

So after month I have try again to finish this run. Now only one short Stage, the Last Stage and the Lats Boss is missing, when I not wrong. I hope I can finish this run in the next days. I will not redone it then, because this takes me much time and was very hard to make. I defeat now Rushifell which looks great. Because I defeat him in one turn. He never move his right arm up again. Defeat Rushifell EDIT: Small Stage done. Only the last Stage and Boss missing. EDIT2: Last Stage done. Only last Boss is missing. EDIT3: DONE. See it in Workbench or Submissions!

Not sure anymore where, played it for years. I think it was somewhere in the middle of the game. Maybe it came automatical, because I have no problem to find it the first time in the game. I remember that you where in a house where you must maybe sleep automatical. When you then wake up and walk through this house you maybe find it. But its all not 100% where and how. I know only that it is somewhere in this game. Good luck. Maybe I try it later on Emulator and make too screenshots from the different Stage.

No, its not the speed. I am 99% sure some part changed, at last one part which I remember, in the witch house where you are a dog. But it was for many years, that I played the both games. In the house where the witch change you into a dog. There is one room where you must fast jump from switch to switch without fall down, not sure if there are too some spikes in this room, or maybe a spikeball hits you when you fall down, but not sure about the spikes anymore. In the PAL Version are some stones missing, that this part is much easier and that you can easier jump from switch to switch. And the bathroom scene is cutted out in the PAL Version. Never see the female Boss bathing in the PAL Version. Maybe I only miss this bath scene somehow? But I try more times and this never happen. In the Japanese Version it happen the first time as I played it.

The Japanese Version is much harder then the PAL Version. Don't know about the USA Version, but I played the PAL (German) Version and the Japanese Version. And I don't mean the language problem for me. The game is at some points a bit different. The Stage where the witch change you into a dog is much harder with jumping and timing for example. Not sure about other Stages, but this I remember 100%. And in the PAL Version some scenes are cutted out, because they are too sexy. You can see someone bathing in the Japanese Version. ;-) So the PAL Version can finish a bit faster then the Japanese I think. I think the USA Version is maybe the same then the PAL, but not sure.

There is a Prototype ROM out somewhere from Final Fantasy II (U). So this is an official translation. Was released someday and its official. Or will be Prototype ROMs not accepted, when the game released in Japan but not in USA official? The USA Prototype ROM is official and contain some minor graphic changes I think.

I have start a TAS for a longer time. But the game is so boring to watch I think. Maybe I will finish it some day, but not so soon. And I am not sure how good this TAS is, because its hard to make it perfect I think. Here my first 3 Stages and 1 Bonus Stage I think. Not 100% sure how much I done there. Alleyway TAS

I have played the english translation for month. And yes it crash often at some point (near the beginning, in the desert and in the Dark Zone). You must too be careful, when the music stop in some places (Dark Zone), then it can always crash. And when you save, you can ruin your game complete, because then it always crash when you load it again from this Savefile. But I have hear, that this only happen by the ROM. On real console it should work great without crashes. But I have no idea, because I don't own the game. And when you often make SaveStates it should work good. Then you have always enough SaveStates before it crashes.

I know its a long time that an update came from me. Sorry about that. Many other things in my head at the moment. But today as internet has not working for some hours I have make a small update and arrive at the next Boss. Looks like that not much is done, but there where some hard parts here in this Stage, that I lose not much time. Same file as always. Arrive near next Boss Strange, why is this no clickable link? The %20 must be the reason, because other links will work. So I must maybe rename the file later. EDIT: Defeat the Boss Defeat Boss

That is true. But there are also 100% runs on this site, as Saturn-Chan has so demonstrated with his Secret of Evermore 100% run. And he did that in like, two hours and four minutes, quite fast for that game. More like impossibly fast. I'm just one of the people that likes 100% runs more than others. But it by no means says I won't download the next Super Mario RPG Run. I love that game, and have been playing it since I was maybe...Ten or Eleven years old, I'm twenty two years old right now.
I like too 100% runs. By Secret of Evermore was it easy with this Atlas-Glitch. I think in most other RPG's and Adventures it will be much harder and take much longer.

Yes, I have see many parts from the WIP, maybe 3/4, then I have make an error and delete my SaveState. I have not found the time to watch the missing parts, but these were short. So I have saw now the Last Stage and it looks complete fast and great. Much luck manipulation and well played. Congratulation for this great movie.

Great movie. One question. You never get hit, when the enemies Killroy shot at you. Why? Is this a bug? Because it always looks like, that they shot you in the back, but you never get hit from them. But vote yes, because looks great and hard to make.

Yes, yes and yes. 1. Its fast and great played. 2. I love Dolphins 3. I love this game Only problem, the game was to hard for me. Always look at energy and air. And some Levels are very hard, long, complicated and frustrating. I loved the beginning from this game. Many Dolphins and no problems, till you jump to high. Now I hope that someone do a run for the second Ecco game. :-)

Oh, ok. I have download it again and now this work fine without desync by me. Sometimes I download the files and watch them later, when I have time. So I have download the old file for hours and have now found time to watch it. So great work again. And already voted yes.

I would like too see a 100% run. So when you will do it it would be great. Because I need much more practice in Speedrunning for such a big project. Only the Secret Stage is no big problem (only the Boss is hard). But I think you have much more practice and know much more tricks after beat the game once. And I have played it for years the last time. So I would like too see it too.
