I have no idea about this game and how its play. But after watch the movie and read the discribtion here it looks great. The last Stage is a bit boring, but fast played I think. Wonder me first about the missing shot by the last Boss, but now I understand. So YES from me.

It's a fair idea but... the guidelines say that any movie (That is, if you want it published here) has to begin from reset.
I know, but maybe as Bonus Add for the complete run. ;) Only an idea, because I think some games have interesting Side Quests, which you will never see here, because for Speedrunning they to long. But I think its interesting maybe someone, that there should be a special Section for those movies, or as add for the complete runs. If not, I will finish this movie maybe later at all, then I put it on my little Website.

I have start a run through the Secret Stage only. Missing only the Boss now. My first version was 2:18 minutes. Now I have perfected it much more, now the time is 1:55 without the Boss yet. Here the Link. Illusion of Gaia - Secret Stage (Boss missing yet) Maybe I am the only one, who is interested on this run, but when someone else like it, tell me what do you think.

So finally I found a bit time and motivation to work on this run again. Now I get the Falcon Wings and end infront of the Broken Bridge. I have found a nice trick here. You can skip a hard fight. I just speak first with the ghoul infront of the broken bridge and then get the Falcon Wings. Now I can fly over the bridge without defeat the hard enemie. When you first get the Wings and speak then with the ghoul he will fight you and this fight is very hard. I have try long with Frame Advance. So now I done it without this fight, which is much faster I think. I must go only a bit back for the Wings. Normaly its not possible, because if you enter a random fight or town the ghoul will be infront of the bridge again. EDIT: I see now, that I have use the wrong weapon on this hard ghoul fight. With the new weapon is much easier. But its a great trick at all, because its near impossible in a non Tool-assisted-Speedrun. So I let it be without this fight in this run. Maybe there will be a second run with some improvments like this fight.

How about a speedrun for the Secret Stage only, where you need the 50 Red Juwels? I would like to see a perfect run through this Stage as fast as possible, 100% kills and no Damage. Is this possible? I know, the site like only Speedruns which begins with Reset, but only as little add for this one it would be great. When someone like to start it I can give you Save Files. There you have give the man 49 Red Juwels and have still one in your inventory. So I would like to see it too, when you give the man the last Red Juwel too. F1 is the best Start I think for this run. Illusion of Gaia (U) Save Files 50 Red Juwels PS: I completed the German Version 100% years ago and have make this Save File. Its work too with the USA Version I have try it. Was done with ZSNES I think. But work too with the newest SNES9X from here with movie recording. I have think to do it myself, but I have no idea about the re-recording from SNES9X Emulator yet and it takes maybe hours till I now how this work with re-recording. So maybe someone who knows better like to start this run? Only an idea from me, because I would like to see this run. :-) EDIT: Here a start, not perfect, but good at all I think. Only the Boss is missing. Illusion of Gaia (U) Secret Stage Run

I enjoy them too. With my Boomer's Adventure in Asmik World movie I have make a FAQ, because I have miss it on GameFAQs. Now you can find it. ;) Its near complete and miss only unimportant things. With the FAQ its now easier to play the game I think.

It would be great to see both at the same time. I can open 2 Emulators, but is there a way that Snes9X will not pause the game when the window is not activ? I found no option to change it. Some Emulators have this option, that the movie still play, when the window is inactiv. But here it will not work, because one window must be activ and one inactiv. So I need the option that the movie still play. Or is my Emulator to old? I use snes9x-improvement2. Is there a new one, who allows this option?

1. In Stage 1, while crossing the collapsing bridge, is it possible to kill the bats from a distance so it doesn't cause lag right there?
Why lag? I defeat them without lose time or lag? I move always right while defeat them. Edit 1: I have not press the right button for 1 Frame a short time before I jump onto the collapsing bridge. But I found out that this cost no time, because I must not press every Frame the right button, I will still move to the right. But on the collapsing bridge I see no error. I lose no time. So its not important that I defeat the bats so late. Can't see any lag here.
2. In Stage 2, when you jump down before the lava pits you can jump early so you don't jump against the wall.
Edit 2: Now I think I understand what do you mean. Have not think about this one. Maybe when I do a second version I will do it. Great what someone else can see in runs what others not notice or think about.
3. In Stage 3, when you're going up inside the building for the first time, wouldn't it be faster to jump against the left wall only?
After the 2 tree enemies? Not sure, I have not think about it as I done it. Seems, that its a bit faster. Sorry, that this one will contain some minor errors. But near all TAS runs can be faster when you use other strategies, and most are absolved sometimes. Maybe I must redone this one later, but now I am so far, that I will not redone it for such minor errors. Sorry. Maybe I first do a testrun. Then I can improve my next version, when I will do a second version. Not sure if I will sumbit this at all when it is done. So I will collect these errors and will maybe done a better one later. So thanks for the infos.

I clicked the link to your latest movie but I got an error.
Sorry, I have make an error in this link. Now it will work. Mix the % with &. My mother has the idea, that it has maybe something to do with the way behind this stone. Because in Stage 1 there is no way behind the stone, but here in Stage 2 its a way with fire on it. So the game maybe think it as complete way when you jump not so high. But this is too only an idea and not sure. And the stone under the glitch stone is different. In Stage 1 both stones are the same, here are 2 different stones. Maybe it has all something to do with this. Here a picture what my mother mean: So maybe the complete way is important for this glitch what I show in red here.

So next Stage done, 2. Boss, the 4 Eyes. I am very happy with the result. I defeat them in a great order to lose no time. The last Eye infront of the exit, that I can fast jump out. Found one nice Bug again after I defeat the Boss. I jump on the wall, where the exit will open. So after the exit opened I hang in the air, but it looks that I hang on a wall. Its again very short, because I jump as fast as I can to the exit. Stage 3, 2. Boss done

Thanks, finally one who like this one. I wonder me too a bit, that noone interested on this one. I like the game as child. But the problem here is, that it looks bad. Moveing and astetic looks bad. The reason is the controlling. You can't time the movements like in other games. Example when you jump, you can only jump low, medium or high. When you press maybe the Jump button for 1 Frame you jump as high as you press it for 3 Frames (not sure exact how many Frames you need to jump a bit higher). So you can't make the movie look perfect like jump as far as you only need or high as you only need. Or maybe the game is to hard for me, that someone else can make a much better movie with this controlling. Thats maybe the big problem in this game. By Gargoyle's Quest its much better. Here I jump as far and as high as I only need. So it look later maybe great and well planed. There I jump every Frame I push the button higher or longer. So you can time every jump much better then here in Balloon Kid. I hope that Gargoyle's Quest will be loved much more. Thats the reason why I try to play it a different way, that it looks maybe much more interesting. It was hard to time the jumps with this bad control and without use Balloons so often.

The block type is different, so that might have something to do with it. I could easily perform the glitch in real time, so maybe the block is a platform that you can stand on and jump through from the other 3 sides.
Yes, I have think too, that it has maybe to do something with the block type. But in the 1. Stage at the end is the same block after defeat the Boss. But I can't jump through this one. I have try more times, no luck. Maybe it is the block type and the high jump, which I get in the 1. Town? I will maybe find it out later, when there is the same block type somewhere else. Or this is just a Glitch, which only work at this block at the beginning from Stage 2? I can't do it in real time. Its to fast for me. Because it work only by me, when I jump for 7 Frames. 1 Frame more is to high, 1 Frame less to low.

WOW, found a great Glitch in the beginning from the 2. Stage. GQ Movie with SaveState F2 This SaveState is right before you will see the Glitch. Its the same Glitch like in Super Mario Bros 3, with this it is possible to walk through walls. Was only luck, that I found it out, now I try, if I can use it in the 1. Stage maybe to finish it much faster. But not 100% sure how this Glitch work. Normaly you will hang on the wall, but here I jump through the wall and walk inside from it. I think you must be near the wall and jump only as high as one stone, then you will maybe land inside. I must now test it much in the 1. Stage, then the movie will be awesome. Maybe this Glitch will help me in other Stages more, because in Stage 2 its no much help, only looks great there. EDIT: Can't get it to work in Stage 1. Try by more walls, never work there. Not sure why it work in Stage 2? I test it in Stage 2 at the beginning, and there it work great and easy, but not in Stage 1. You must press 7 Frames the Jump Button, and stand near the wall. But this will not work in Stage 1. Maybe I can get it to work in later Stages again, but not sure. Maybe there must special Walls with fire behind it where this only work, or it work first after you can jump higher.

Also, look into what left/right and up/down can do for you, both in walking and in flight.
Left/Right do near nothing like Up/Down. I only walk Left or Up, nothing special I think. Defeat now the 1. Boss. Same Link. Luck manipulation is easy here. Just wait 1 Frame before walk, and you will not walk into random fights which sometimes outside from the Stages. Or walk a different way to the next Town or Stage.

Right now I try a Gargoyle's Quest run. Any tips? What I need? Which Items must I get to complete this game? I have play it for years, many years. The first Stage was hard till I done it. But I have no idea anymore, which items you need and which you can skip. Or can you skip all Items and will you get important items automatical? Right now I have done the 1. Stage up to the Boss. But not the Boss yet. Gargoyle's Quest Movie Stage 1 with Boss Normaly I try No Damage Runs, but here it takes to much time, when I wait by the one tree, so I jump through the one fire enemie and get hit here one time to save time. I try to jump as late as possible and only as high as you must to reach the next platforms. So it looks maybe great at the moment. Must only find a good way for the 1. Boss. Boss Fight are the hardest parts for me.

I don't know the game before, but it looks funny. The movie looks good, but end to early as Mr. Kelly R. Flewin say. You must still press buttons at the end. And this is not good for a speedrun. It must end when you must press no button anymore. So I think it will maybe cancelled or rejected at all.

I completed it 2 times (english translation) to get all characters. When you play it fast with no extras it can be a fast game I think. The second time I played it much faster with not many extras. You must not get all abilities for all characters, which takes to long for a run and is too much luck. And you must not beat the Special Cave which has 70 rooms I think. Only bad is, that it sometimes freeze on emulator. So it can be very annoying when this happen in the speedrun.

Again found a bit time for this game: Stage 5 done A short Stage, but must use often Balloon here. Sometimes I use the same Balloon more times. And catch only 3 Balloons in this Stage. Edit: Stage 6 done, 3. Boss
