I tried nitsuja's fceu now and this work great. Voted yes for now, because it looks good and well done. I think by Pinball games it always hard to find the right Frame for every move. So many different things can happen and the ball will move a different way. This can be better later or not so good. But most it looks like, that he hit the enemies fast and sometimes as fast as possible. Great how you sometimes hit enemies and Bosses more then one time in a row.

Yes vote too. Looks great. Never think, that it is possible to beat this game so fast with all these rooms. Wow, great movie. Nice tricks used. How you climb only in one line up and jump near some enemies and fire looks great.

Same problem here. Desync. I rename the ROM, the Movie file and use the Config from this thread here. Nothing work. Desync always at the same time. After the 1. Boss battle. To this point the movie looks well done. Never hear from this game before. But I like Pinball games and RPG games. So I hope enough people can see this movie and vote yes, that I can see later the AVI file and the complete game, which looke very interesting.

Sound like there exist ROMs like 1.0 & 1.1. But can't find them. Found only this one Yie Ar Kung-Fu (J) (V1.4). Not sure if other Versions exist except these 2. Have you tried the other Version yet? When you have luck it will play good with your movie. If not, you must maybe start new, when the other Version will not crash at this point.

Voted yes. This is great and well done. Nice tricks, great useage from magic and nice dead as shortcut. This is my favourite SNES game. And this is played so great. I have played this game many times. But I play it only for 100% Items and Monster Lairs. I near never use magic except the last Boss. And I never try to beat this game as fast as possible. But here you show many things which looks good. Great useage from magic, that you defeat or hit many monsters with only one use. And that you defeat enemies early and fast when you are still far away. How fast you defeat Bosses looks great too. And the great useage from items. Medical Herb and Strange Bottle. See no errors and everything worked great.

It's not that I mind my name being in there (as long as it's spelled correctly), I just haven't seen this done in any other video and I was wondering what gives. Thanks for the quick response. :D
It seems, that some encoders do it and other write only the nicknames in the movie. Or maybe they do it sometimes and sometimes not, or only the older movies don't contain the real names. I watched again in my own TAS movie, there is both inside. Real name and Nickname.

Old question: Did you like watching this movie? After read now 2 threads, I think I must start a topic about this. I think the question is wrong and maybe should be changed. Reason 1 is this thread: #1003: Diman's NES Gradius in 13:25 More people voted yes. But in the message they write it sound like that they only like to watch the movie, but don't think its publishable. Not sure, if they mean it this way, but it sound a bit like it. Maybe I just understand it wrong. Reason 2 is this thread: #993: fuzi2's SNES Star Ocean in 1:53:13 Here more people voted no. They don't like to watch the movie and I understand the reasons. The movie is more a message skipping and show near no action and the language is japanese and when you don't know this game its hard to follow or understand whats going on. But I think its publishable at all, because it show how fast you can beat this RPG and this is great. So I think the question should be different. More like this: Do you think this movie is publishable? or maybe mix it with the old question Do you like the movie and think its good enough to get published? Then maybe the votes are different by some movies. Sure its too great, when the movie is entertainment and fun to watch. But some movies are just great, because they are classic games and everybody know them. It can be, that in some movies its impossible to make them entertainment and great to watch. But when its good played and most like the game, why not publish it anyway. I think in the past it has work good with this question. But meet the requirements for this site get harder and harder as I see in the last month. In the past a movie was good, when it looks good for many people. But more people want the best possible result and a near Frame perfected movie. This is only what I think and some things are just my opinion. I will noone attack for his opinion. I only want to know what other people think about this. It sound in some messages that more users think the question is wrong so why not ask here in a topic and write the own opinion. Edit: Sorry when I post it in the wrong forum. Maybe should moved to the Sites forum. Forget this forum as I post this topic. (PS: my english is not perfect, so the grammar is maybe a bit wrong. I hope someone understand what I try to say with this topic)

Voted yes. This movie is much better. Great that you not lost your motivation from the bad votes in the past and try it again. This movie looks great. The movements looks now much better as in your first try. And you try to make it entertainment. Too great, that you aims for the fastest time and try to kill near everything what is possible. Only to much uses from shields as other already says. In a TAS there is near no use for a shield I think. When you don't want do die, then try it again and again with re-recording, till you done it without dieing. Other problem, I am not sure, which movie is better. Morimoto or this one. Both are great. Morimoto show some tricks, which are missing here. But you show too some new tricks & play for the fastest time. And in entertainment they are both near the same. Good, that I must not judge this. I can only say, that this movie looks good.

Voted Yes. I know more the GameBoy Version and played this in the past. But its near the same gameplay. Only different, you get Items which will help you. And I think in the GameBoy Version the block are not random. So no need to manipulate luck by this version. But not 100% sure anymore. And I think it was only a 1 Player game. This run here looks fast and the luck manipulation worked good. Edit: I use fceu-0.98.12-blip.win and this work great too.

Voted no too. I watched this yesterday and today the TAS from Morimoto. Morimoto runs looks much better then this one. The run is faster sure. But the movements looks not so good. By Morimoto it looks great and he show great tricks. This run show near nothing new, only the last Boss is interesting how you kill him without doing something, great that you can stop the movie so early. I know no other game in the moment where you can stop the movie before finish the last Boss. Sure Morimoto start the game later and some Bosses takes maybe to long. But its much more entertainent how he play the game. Play with the enemies. And he play it only for entertainment, not for fastest speed. Only a TAS which is as much entertainment as Morimoto and maybe faster should absolted the old one. But not this one here. I think its a great idea to play with the enemies. I would never know this without watching the TAS from Morimoto. Because I have think to do a Parodius TAS for GameBoy later maybe. Now I know its a bad idea when I would just kill all enemies as fast as possible. Its just to boring to watch later.

Not sure if Terimakasih plans to do a faster one. I think he mean only the runs which are planed right now by Saturn (RBO Suitless Run) & JXQ (100% Run). See this thread the last pages: Super Metroid

Yes, Star Ocean is a great game. As the Patch were released I completed it 2 times in a row to get all different characters. Was fun to play. The first time I have know near nothing about the game and do many wrong. Not used magic and talents. Its great too see a TAS from this game. I love the different ways how he avoid random encounters. And I know how long it takes me to complete the game the first time. I most try to do everything what is possible, so it takes me much longer then 2 hours.

Wonder me too about the long black screen. Must be an error with the game. Or maybe the graphic desync? Autofire A is the only button which is pressed through the black. So it seems that fuzi2 has this black screen too as he make this movie. Voted Yes.

Well how do you explain everyone complaining about the damned things crashing as a rule, hm? Can't be all just a coincedence.
As I test the english Patches with the ROM it crashed too often. It was no patch error, because it was well known, that the game can crash at some situations. But I read too in a board, that it happen only on Emulators, that it crash. On real console it should work good without crashes. I don't own this game on real console, so I don't know if this is true. But I think on console it can maybe work better as on Emulator. Must now watch the movie, too when I don't understand japanese. But I played the game in the past in english and I hope I still know the story a bit. Watched the 2 WIP movies already and like them, how you manipualte random fight on different ways.

Congratulations on a great run, Matty! I watched the whole thing and was very impressed. Not only have you used some really surprising warping glitches, but the little tricks sprinkled throughout are very impressive as well. For example, hitting chests to place them on switches, manipulating enemy positions for the snowman switches.
Thanks, this was a bit luck with the chest hitting. Have just think at the right time at this nice trick, I like it too. Was not sure if this work, but worked great. Maybe the enemy positions can be manipulated a bit better in the rooms with 2 switches, at least in one room it has work in the past. One soldier stand already on the switch where you must normaly cut away the grass (not sure if this was in my first or second try). This would save maybe to some time, because one grass less which you must cut away. But I have try many different frames and found no way to manipulate it in this run. I have think, that I will not wait too long before I enter the rooms. Wait more seconds will be to long I think, then I can too push the snowman onto the switches already. ;)

Nice done, but I have see too the trick with the one stone to defeat the Clawgrip, so I wonder me, why this trick is used in this movie. Not sure if I should vote now Yes, or wait if you will try it again with the one stone kill trick. Edit: Voted Yes now. Because little errors are in near every movie.

Here some consoles which I like to see some TAS in the future: Atari 2600 VCS Lynx Master System PC-Engine There exist some great games for these consoles, so it would be great to see Emulators, which can make TAS movies. So the Emulators need SaveState (I think many already have this) and Frame Advance or Slow Down. Games where I like to see a TAS are: Dracula (Lynx) [Point and Click Adventure] Golden Axe Warrior (Master System) [Zelda like game] Neutopia (PC-Engine) [Zelda like game] Neutopia 2 (PC-Engine) [Zelda like game] And I think there exist some more games which are interesting for TAS movies. Ok, Atari 2600 VCS has no great graphics, but I like some games. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a great Adventure game.

I think there was a catch the fly game inside this Paint programm. Maybe this would be good enough for a TAS. But I have no idea if this is endless or has an ending.

I like the orginal game much more. I have played this as it released in japanese and later in german I think. I notice some minor differences, one chest stand in an other corner and one house looks different inside when I not wrong. But I don't like it so much then the orginal. So many news that it would be much harder to run and I will not do this one here. The orginal was hard enough to play near perfect. Here are to many options and I don't know this game so good. And I think there would be two different categories for this one. Boy and Girl. I think they are a bit different. You play some different Stages when the girl get kidnapped.

Finish. Was a hard work. I lose some Frames in the Last Boss fights, but I think the reason is the lower Level. So now watch it and enjoy it with all the Warps. I think this was my last Final Fantasy Adventure TAS. I will not do another one. I think my 3rd is played well without Warps and this one which used Warps is played great too. This one is a bit better, because some new tricks which I found while doing it. But you can not saved much I think. As I calculate some things: Buy axe earlier - saved 8 seconds Manipulate Kraken perfect - saved 3 seconds Manipulate Iflyte perfect - saved near 8 seconds These are the main parts, which better. Some other are always different and can't be calculated so good. So I can maybe save 20 seconds in my third Warpless run with all what I know + one Level Up. But I think this is not so important in a movie which is still over 1 hour. And everytime it can be different a bit at other places, that I lose or save some Frames. So when someone can saved more then 1 minute in one from these runs, I would like to see it. I will not try it again so soon. Only when someone maybe find new Warps, which saved over 10 minutes.
