I'm reviving this topic, beacause I noted some inerests into this game again... I planned to improve this run (I already began) but I wish this time to share my run with someone...
Awwww, you're not continuing with you Zero2 run? :( Or, if you're gonna do both, slow the process down of the new run that is Zero2.

Just finished watching it. Looked great! It's not within your power but the longs cutscenes and intermissions do indeed take the speed out of the game. Anyway, i was a bit disappointed to see Ciel got hit 3 times during the protection mission! I'm sure you could've prevented the damage. Did you oversee those errors? Or could you not manage to kill them before they could shoot? (which doesn't seem likely) Either way, keep it up \o/ Watching it a second time, still love to see how you kill the bosses with the shield boomerang chasing you :D

This was awesome, this should get a star. (edit: just read there are some possible improvements. While any movie is probably never perfect, i still think this should get a star) I also loved the floating (you know, going up and down) you did with the floating boots! Serious yes vote \o/

I'm not familiar with all ex-forms, but the dash slash usually really slows you down. If i remember correctly, all the ex-skill does is make you do a 360 slash right?

- Well, I have to see you video again, but i noticed that the scorpion's head, tails and pincer deal 4 damages, while its body only deals 2... I need to dash slash him at least four times to reduce the number of slashes i need to kill him by one. I wouldn't have enough energy to do so if i'm hit by the head each time... so i need to get hit by the body before slashing him...
Aaaaah! I see! So there is a reason, and a good one. :)
- The SB is quite a strange weapon... if it does not reach the first stage of charge then it DOES NOT charge during the "door pass" animation. I have to use the saber to kill an enemy just before the door and I can only switch to the SB after i killed that enemy... I admit I did not try to switch right after i killed it and then jump dash to the door but it's not sure that there is enough time to reach the first stage of charge before the door...
This is sorta vague, but i think i know what you mean. I also can't remember how far that enemy was away frm the door, so myah, whatever, i'll recheck it next time i watch the video.
- I took a hit at the end of the fight just for fun... Is it so lame ??? Ok i'll remove that...
imo, (in my opinion) (and i think a lot of people share the same opinion) i think unnessecary hits unpolish the game. After such a cool fight, getting hit just doesn't look right. Cheers!

Hey Fred! Watched your WIP, it looked great! You sure have grown since the last runs. I'm really looking forward to further progress of this run \o/ I have some comments though. - You got hit by one of the mid-boss golems in the first stage. Was it neccessary? Could you otherwise not reach the golem (without getting hit again)? - You get hit by the intro stage boss, the scorpion. Why did you do this? In my own video i start dash-slashing towards the boss, but i still get hit cuz i can't stop. However, i think my way looks better than yours because with mine, you can see the hit is inevitable. With yours, it looks a bit silly/sloppy since you get hit before you can start an attack. - I loved how you, in hyleg's stage clung to the chainrod-platform with your chainrod from below! Like, you dashed from the side/wall and then suddely shot up, linking to the platform, saving you from death :D - Before the 1st miniboss in Hyleg's stage you switched to shield boomerand and then walked to the door, because you can't dash while using the SB and you needed to charge it. However, you should've made a dashed jump towards the door and switched to the SB 1 frame after the jump. This way you wouldn't have needed to walk, yet still charge your SB for the mini boss. - I take it you charged yout buster before the fight with Hyleg for boss manipulation. However, you never used it, probably cuz you didn't want to make an unnessecary attack. However, you could've released your buster charged during any saber attack without attacking. Just a reminder for future boss battles. - I looooooooooooved your Pheonix Magnion fight! It was so cool to see you escape the SB while still damaging Pheonix at early times! However, i don't see why you let yourself get hit in the end. Do you have any reason for this? It makes the run more sloppy, especially after such a cool fight. Overall, this already is a great looking run! Keep up the great work!

No chatting, no unnecessary boss fights and lots of glitches.
Actually... i don't like chatting, but i do like boss fights. However i also like glitches, unless they highly shorten the play time. Like the Zelda LttP glitch, you get to see like 1% of the game and you don't get to see how the player deals with boss fights or difficult parts. That's stuff i personally like over short- and/or super-glitched runs. That's why i sometimes like 100% runs better, and in this case, like non-glitched AoS movies better.

Voted "Hell yes". I loved this run! I actually like it better than the SA1 & SA2 runs, because this is a bit more normal and a bit less glitched. (But those runs were great too!) I fast forwarded every reboot, but i didn't mind so much. Keep up the fantastic work!

Those personal life things sounds a lot more important :) This can be done later, the stuff you just said can't. Good to know you're still alive though, and good luck with your personal life! :P

I think LagDotCom is right. I'm no Doom expert and i don't keep up with the latest fastest times. However, stx-Vile does his runs on SS NM. I've tried to play NM but it's killing me. Surely other people can finish it, but stx-Vile is speedrunning, single segmentedly on nightmare. I think he needs all those secrets with the health and ammo boosts in order to stay alive. You can't compare an UV run with a NM run. Edit: however, i agree that a lot of runs on SDA are highly improvable. Lately though, runs for games i know fair enough have been improved, but still, SDA isn't nearly as strict as it should be. People send in super crappy speedruns just so another self-respecting speedrunner improves it, just because he can't bear seeing the crappy run online/listed. That's just wrong. I've also heard stories that SDA accepts a lot of runs just because it wants to grow, but those may just be stories.

I'd love to see either one of the speedruns. I know the Sora version needs more planning and stuff, but a Riku one would be (iirc) more fluid in playthrough.
