Very nice run, enjoyed it a lot. It was diverse, yet very fast. Nice work.

The 2 last published movies (plok and FF) both had 16 yes votes and 1 meh vote. I'd say publish this. :)

I watched the entire thing. While some goofing around parts were funny, many were annoying. Besides, i liked the levels where you sped up much more than the goofing levels.
It feels kind of weird repeating myself so many times, so I'll just ask this question: Is there anyone who watched the Japanese vids and still thinks that Genisto's vid should be published?
Definately not. I like those movies a TON better. That's what this run was supposed to look like. Voting no.

So is there anybody who's still thinking of running this game? Come on! :) It might not be as good as SCV4, but it's still a nice game.

I overlooked your post Gigafront, but i just finished watching it. I must say though, even though you're making a non-publish movie, you certainly put good effort into it. The WIP looks entertaining, and even escorting the soldier back looks nice, with natural movement of zero too. (You know, checking back at the soldier and stuff)

Voted yes because it's a great run. (Although i'm curious about Zurreco's 5 second improvement) The only question i have is if you tested out whether using the medusa soul on Balore is faster or not than just jumping and dodging his flames, while attacking. Besides that, man o man do my ears bleed from the backdashing sound. Personally i like the way it looks, but the extreme repetetive sound of it is awful. Either way, great run. (Plus two thumbs up for getting the good ending, and not doing a glitch run)

This is a good run, 9 people have voted yes, and none have voted no. Still, seemingly it is not enough to get the run published. So i'll ask anybody who hasn't voted yet to vote, even though it might be a bit on the late side. It's not very encouraging for runners when they make a publish-worthy run, and not get it published. Just my 2 cents.

Any progress on this? I can't particularly think of anything to entertain the watcher, but i'd surely suggest you kill as many enemies as you can, coz, you know, you're moving slowly. Anything without the cost of having the soldier stop though

Great run. Once again, when you've aquired the right ex-skills and such, the bosses die really fast. The executing is doen nicely, and you came up with new shortcuts i didn't think of (boo me) so that's definately a plus. On the other side, i did notice some small seemingly flaws. I noticed you keep an A rank all the way to the end. If it would be possible, the next person running this game should see if he could loose his A rank, because you gain 2 more lines saying "you acquired his/her ex-skill! w00t" at the result screen. So, killing less enemies (if possible) could be a minor improvement. But this isn't such a big deal. 2nd thing, i noticed you let Chilldre Inarabitta fly up in the final level. Obviously you should've manipulated him into not doing this, so you can keep hitting him. 3rd thing, in your final fight against Tretista Kelvarian you stay in the corner. This leaves you with 2 more hits on your side... even though Tretista jumped up. This allowed you to dash under him and evade his attacks more. Also, after you're done with the fight, you pick up a small energy capsule, even though you didn't need it. Well, that was about it, the rest was nice. Great work. Yes vote from me. and thanks for the credit ^_^

I watched your movie, finally (took me a while :P) and it looked pretty nice. I'm wonderng why you didn't get hit by the Train boss a more time though (the fire) You had enough health left for one more hit by the flamethrower, byt you dodged the flame twice at the start... where you were some frames late by hitting the boss.

Really? In my opinion the boss fights are what makes the MegaMan games interesting! :) Anyway, so you continued on from your movie? That means you didn't start over and take the advice nitsuja and I gave? :/

Why did you still level up your saber a bit? You know you don't need the charged saber for bosses or such.... I also didn't see you fixing the dash slash. Also, would it be possible to slash-dash-slash if he'd be firing his lasers up and down simultaniously? Maybe not after continuously attacking, but at least more than normal slashes, what you do now, since he jumps all the time. If so, perhaps you can manipulate him into standing more on the ground. Anyway, there have been a few discussions about the escape unit in the past. i believe most thought that using it was not very entertaining, and preferred not using the escape unit. There could be 2 seperate versions, 1 that uses the escape unit as much as possible. and one that doesn't. I prefer not using it.

You can find the movies here: gigafrost mmz TAS movies The triple rod movie was to test how much time it would cost getting the triple rod. Most likely to see if it would save time getting it for some tricks later on in the game, like a shortcut in leviathan1's level. But iirc it costed too much time. Edit: Actually! That info and those movies can also be found on the first page of this topic! Did you read this entire topic before trying to speedrun the game yourself?

Three things i noticed: The first thing i noticed is that you swapped your saber with your buster in the start menu. Why did you do this? You could've just swapped your button cofiguration for primary and secondary attacks. Second thing i noticed is that you didn't get hit during the stage. Are you sure it's faster to only take damage from the golem? Did you test the difference? Final thing is that i saw you using a dashing saber attack. Don't ever use this, it's slow. Use a (semi)charged buster plus a jumping slash combo or something if you must do more damage. Anyway, i'm not sure about the levelling up thing. You do get quick kills this way, but you lose "much" time as well. And if you've done your homework, you should know that the best way to beat bosses is by using normal slashes, cancelled out by a short dash. So technically, you don't really need that charged saber ASAP. Although starting the battle with a charged elemental slash could be good... although i'm not sure if that does more damage in the same amount of time than spent doing slash-dash-slashing could do. I can't tell you what's best, i'm afraid i have to tell you to try the difference yourself. I think i remember it was Gigafrost who made the slash-dash-slash boss battle test movies. If it was him, you could ask him if he tested out whether using charged elemental attacks was faster or slower.

Well, the movement looked nice. I didn't see any of those pauses you previously had, but yeah, taking damage along the way (make sure you fall 'forward' instead of being pushed back) is prolly faster, since you have to wait for the golem to let you do damage. You should test it out though.

I personally kinda like the backdashing actually. It looks faster than just running, and it reminds me of SotN. Anyway, i'll check your WIP when i get home. It's a good thing someone's planning on doing a 100% run, should be tough for yah.

Your WIP is somewhat okay. Although you fail at some points. For one, it's best to do a jump at the end of your dash. This way you don't lose frames, instead of when you just dash aftereachother. I also noticed you had to stop at some points (in front of one of those spider hives, and before the bomb) I'm sure it's possible to get past those with using frame advance to shoot as much bullets as possible, and i think by not shooting the bomb, but just dashing under it and jumping over the droids, though i'm not sure if that's possible. Infact, it's best to get hit by that bomb so you have less health for when you arrive at the boss fight. then get hit another time and the saber-sequence will be executed. I also noticed you shot too many bullets at one (i think) point, the 4 droids part. it would be best if you just shot as much as necessary, and not too much.

Yup, that was nice. Too bad i didn't think about recoil-jumpig off fishes so i wouldn't need to walljump in inarabitta's stage :( Nice work fellah. :) I didn't see any major errors.

Well, optional bosses are nice, but i'm not sure you should include him in a TAS. I'd prolly won't.
