it has better music, better art, better story. better fighting. :) u get more involved with the characters. You forgot one important thing. ALttP has better gameplay :) ALttP is also just more fun in general. the proof will be the voting result That's not proof, the Chrono Trigger fans can (and will) cheat. Some of them are voting many times. Since ALttP really is better, that's the only way Chrono Trigger can win.

It's not better you *insert random word that you wouldn't want to be called*. I would edit your post and type in something like "I'm stupid because I think CT is better than ALttP" but then Bisqwit might get mad and take away my mod powers so I won't do that. Edit: By the way, I already mathematically proved that ALttP is better, so you have no argument against me :P Unfortunately I don't feel like explaining the proof so you'll just have to trust me on this one :) Edit 2: I just thought of a good idea. Would there be any way to make it so that every time someone wants to download a speed run he has to vote for ALttP first, or else it doesn't let him download it? That would be pretty cool, and would probably ensure a win for ALttP since so many people download the videos.

Gannon-banned is the correct spelling. Read the first letter and response on this page to understand why: http://www.gannon-banned.com/gblettersapril4th.htm Edit: gannon-ban lmao u can't be serious, hahahaha... Wait a minute, are you saying you never heard of Gannon-banned??? Where have you been? That site is awesome!

Maybe not according to the rules TSA listed, but I'm Gannon-banning him anyway.

How could you do such a thing? Isn't voting for Chrono Trigger instead of ALttP a sin? God is gonna be mad at you. Not only that, but I'm also Gannon-banning you. If you don't want to be Gannon=banned (which would happen if you do a second offense), I recommend you hurry up and read these rules before you make more of a fool of yourself. http://www.gannon-banned.com/gbrules.htm

If anyone hasn't voted for ALttP yet at GameFAQs, go vote now. The match is very close so ALttP needs all the votes it can get.

Near the end, in the room with the 3 blue vampire like creatures. Why did you skip that key? I end up with one key. You need to enter dungeon nine with two keys, right? I think you only need to enter level 9 with 1 key. By the way, if anyone hasn't voted for ALttP yet at GameFAQs, go vote now! It's extremely close so every vote counts.

Yes, but it takes longer to get than doing the key glitch. Edit: I just watched it and I don't see what the problem is. You have enough keys.

Which is what i wanted to do at the beggining until someone told me not to You said you missed a key in 6, which key did you miss? Edit: In one of the rooms in level 6, you switched to the arrows to kill the last enemy. Are you sure it wouldn't have been faster to just kill them all with bombs, or just a few arrows first before you switched to bombs so you only need to switch to bombs once?

No, but if other people start getting some more times then maybe I'll continue.

Maybe I should make a poll so everyone can vote on what information should be in the movies.

The term "legit timeattack" is not used too often, and IMO it should be. No it shouldn't. "Legit" would make people think it's an actual real-time speed run with no saving or slow motion. Timeattack doesn't necessarily mean that save states or slow motion was used, and most people don't know what Arc's definition of timeattack is.

I would summarize all my counter-arguments, but I've done that so many times that I'm getting sick of it, so I'll just see what you have to say, and maybe you'll be able to explain it better than I can.

How about just using the music from whatever game is currently being shown. It's ok to use that music in the speed run videos (at least I think it is), so why not the video you're working on?

These are another genre of game movies Well the guy at GameFAQs is saying that people don't know they're different and people think the videos are legit, so he's saying that there should be explanations of what advantages we have, such as save states and slow motion, to make sure that there are no misconceptions and that people don't think they're seeing actual gameplay. Edit: By the way, I wouldn't mind if you help me win this argument on GameFAQs because it's been going on for 5 pages and I'm getting tired of it. No matter how clearly I try to explain things they just keep complaining, so maybe you can help me out. Here's the topic: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7882&topic=14123697

He should still do something to let people know it wasn't done with save states or slow motion.

laziness; I'll add explanations soon. Until then, if you're going to label the legit runs as "speed runs" then you should at least do it correctly. You forgot to label the ALttP, FSA, and Tetris as speed runs.

Some guy at GameFAQs thinks all the videos should have a message at the beginning explaining that save states and slow motion were used. I think that's rediculous and I'm trying to convince him that as long as people don't think they're legitimate records it's enough to just have a link to the information about how Famtasia works. What do you people think? Should the movies explain that with Famtasia you can play at 15% speed and save every half second or is giving the link to the website enough?

Wouldn't having all those bullets on the screen cause the game to lag?

I'm pretty sure he was moving up until the point when "movie stop" showed up, but I'll watch it again just to make sure.

That's because he was still moving for 3 frames after he touched the axe.

I just noticed this comment on the nesvideos page which needs to be fixed: 8-4 was completed with 815 timeunits left

So what if it can be stopped earlier, you still need to beat the game. The game ends when you lose control of Mario, and you can control him up until the point when he touches the axe and stops moving. I stopped recording at the exact frame when he stopped moving.
