Taking the owl to Hyrule Castle isn't the quickest way there I timed this manually quite some time ago and its approximatley 10 seconds slower to take the owl because of the long dialougue which can't be speeded up. The owl was used because time doesn't flow during diaglougue sequences which was much to my surprise.

An error I've found is if I have two Gens running at once and then close a one of them down and reload a movie, the game will run correctly, but you get a completely black screen. I know itsgame is running since I can hear the sound in the background.

DK64 the lullaby is probally the most essential item in the game its absolutely necesscary since magic is required for using the light arrows. Its also needed for the boat room in Shadow and most certainly the boss key room Spirit since glitching through the door would be no good. You can't get lullaby after the ganondorf cutscene has been triggeed and I also think that the drawbridge is always raised after the three stones have been attained. The only way possible to get the lullaby with three stones would be to leave the map and fall into the uber water environmen and from there on in swim past the drawbridge and rise up to where the trainsistion point is beyond the drawbridge.

I don't think we have to worry about that changing, unless someone has discovered some trick that lets you skip most of the game while still collecting 120 stars.
I heard about that quite some time ago and I think that was a beta version glitch which was removed before the release of M64. If you're refering to meeting Yoshi then yes its possible to get on top of the castle with 0 stars but yoshi doesn't appear till you collect 120 stars. Nintendo do make some really weird assumptions at times.

I'm a little bit embassed to say this but how do you resume recording. I tried frame advance but I couldn't toggle between it and slowdown. Just so I don't confuse I'm in frame advance. Seems pretty smooth Guano, I know that bomerang will be a pain but it and the Barinade battle should be quicker and simplfied. Hopefully it won't take you as long to re-create the bombchu boost, because that was classy and unexpectedly cool.

Up to Jabu Jabu. I tried for HOURS rolling into him and found out it is a pain in the ass. Ive tried from different angles at different times with different sheers of excitement and I got NOTHING. Im going to continue to jumpslash from the fence because its all I know how to get in. If you want to try and get it, here ya go! http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=AD2C0D0D39101D90 I dont know where the savestate is at but I wouldnt go from the savestate because of desynch issues. I find this roll incredibly hard.
I did warn you. Yautja and TSA are the only ones that have claimed to have done this and they both say it needs to be pixel perfect. Think of it like Sakons hideout in MM but ten times harder. I never pulled this off myself which shows how hard that trick is.

This difference between countries talk should be in an off topic general chat forum. I can always tell if something originated from the US because of the spelling of "color" as opposed to colour, spelling color like that may make sence but it sounds different i.e cull-lor as opposed to cull-our. I'm also wondering if "anyways" as opposed to "anyway is" an American spelling as well. Anyway back to the main topic I take it Guano is taking a break from all this, he is about a third of the way through which is something, because I thought he would of given up by now, because I know I would of.

There's megajumps and hover boosts as well, which would be quicker and much easier to do with bombs, in Shadow the back flip hover boost is used to cross the pit at the end and the megajump is used in the forest.

The only tip for surface is to use the grenade launcher for strafe boosting, I liked the shot to the vent shaft at the end. For bunker I think you can duck under the door at the start.

Urgh I don't get, I did the first stage is eight frames quicker overall, but my special stage is 15 frames slower than nfq's special and I'm copying what he's doing, it looks exactly the same in real time so it'll take slow down to figure out how I could lose so much time. Here's it is anyway. http://rapidshare.de/files/23779656/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_ALL_EMERALDS.gmv.html

YES YES IT DIDN'T DESYNC. 1. I think Kokiri Forest strat could be improved 2. Very good movement in Hyrule 3. I think you can advance further right in Lake Hylia to avoid swimming swimming a longer distance 4. I couldn't be certain but you're not press B very ofter while smimming 5. Fishing game I think was better than last time 6. Very good dive to the bottle 7. Hyrule castle seam is probally my favourite after the bombchu boost in Jabu 8. That last set of guards doesn't look right at all, you diagonally back walk for a lengthy period, I'm not so sure you choose the best side. I'm not sure if you entered the court right at all 9. LOL thats a carbon copy of what I do when I talk to Zelda 10. That was a scary speed to play the lullaby.

Is anyone making an avi for the surface and bunker. I'm not responding to this conversation over the Dam anymore and I've said enough to make it sound like its not impossible.

I'm don't record everything I do espeacially back then, since I didn't have a DVD or tape recorder. I don't know what you mean when you say "making up some strategies without any sort of real backup". I personally have to admit that its not clear why the guard on the other side opens the gate on rare occasions. oh, "I suppose it was pretty tough to get to understand the physics of your action replay" I hope your not suggesting I was using cheats *cough * turbo mode "Also you had the worst reason ever in 'it was done back in 2000 so there is no video of it" Someone claimed back then that they got 50 seconds, which like you I ridiculed. I couldn't see how it was possible, thats how I discovered damage boosts followed by lookdown and then the strange guard opening the gate. This is exactly like my 4:40 OoT situation, where I was in no position to fully prove my run.

I think so, its deadlocked so don't bring it up again. Ridicule it if you want but don't completeley disreguard it OK.

The movie desyced for me when I you were approaching the switch in the Dam. Woulter its not easy but the guard on the other side can be manipulated to open the gate from the other and more importantly from far away and more importantly he's in a perfect postion to give constand damage boosts as well as the alarm guard. Its been a while since I played this game, but I've played it to death and for about 1-2 months I was having frequent visitors every night playing multiplayer Goldeneye for about four hours. I still know the game very well since I've unlocked everything twice and also done many favours by getting the cheats, the facilty, archives and caverns were the most common requests.

I watched the 53 on SDA and yes I have done a lot faster than that, there wasn't any mistakes it was just that the luck manipulation could of been a lot better. Were they the done on the PAL version. 1. Its possible to go through the gate without pressing the panel 2. There was three damage boosts that could of been had Edit: No it wasn't a TAS and it was done back in 2000 so there is no video of it, its also a real pain to get and maximize the damage boosts. I'm not an elite member either.

I don't see how this lookdown is causing so much bother, I know the levels and objectives and a lot of the common enemy positions very well. So for me lookdown adds that little bit of extra enertainment. My only tip is to speed up conversations with double start, I don't know how common that knowledge is though because it wasn't used for Trevelyn in the Facility. Woulter, are you refering to the Dam on agent. The best time I could achive was 50 secs from memory and thats the PAL version of it. The hardest bit is getting the favourable damage boosts and nailing the padlock shot from a distance.

Yes, even though its more time sonsuming you should definitley see how much time you have left to get the bottle outside once you boost throught he moat. Remeber to try that deku sword swap during a backwalk as it could easily make the difference in this case and it provides more entertainment anyway.

Pretty good Tempest, you only need two mines for the gas tanks and there wasn't really anything to fault in the runway. What setup are you using out of intersest because the movements are very un-N64 like. Surface should be easy, the only difficulty it will cause is the long diagonal sequences which have to be done without twiching to alter the path. I tested it a while ago but could remember the outcome, but is it possible to blow the padlocks in surface with a grenade. Its good to see that you maximised your use of damage boosts from all perpectinves.

Sorry Acryte made a vid of it some time ago, but it expired on MegaUpload. Its best to use slow down, but you take out the sword and quickly cancel with a deku stick. It fractionally saves time of approximatley 1-3 seconds during a long backwalk, equipping a stick seems to give some kind of mini boost, this should be perhaps used in the next run, and a later reccomendation is to save the last stick with a miss jumpslash Dondongo.

Bag of Magic Food: What's so great about Rapidshare? Its good for relativley small files, I don't know why your trying to suggest its bad (or something relating to that). The download speeds I get are greater than any other upload/download server I've experienced. I think maybe because it German and I live in Europe, thats maybe why it good for me, but it does impose limits which is strange because in the blog it says that its rarely anywhere near capacity. Plus you don't experience the popups like you do on megaupload. FileFront is probally the best for uploading huge avi or equivalant format files, but the download speeds suck major, and thats even if you have an amazing connection speed. Although its more to do with being overun, when someone recently uploaded something I wanted to download, I got pushed away because there is so many people downloading it all at once that I was getting 850 bytes per/second and would have to wait 44 hours, but the next day I got 150kbs and only had to wait 10-15 mins. Aside all that the 2p run is cool, was the 1p run the good ending because I wasn't sure? I also wasn't sure if it was a definitive last in the series game. How does a 2p run work anyway, the only logical way I can think of is frame advance and holding possibly up to eight keys at once, which would take forever. My only complaint is that sometimes has the impression of one person playing, maybe I'm wrong to say this but I think the boxing in still punches could have been used more. Does the game end like the other two where your forced to fight each other? If so then what will be done because it would be boring to see one player quickly disposing the other, I remeber playing them back in the old days and boasting to your teamate about your superiorority after you beat them after the final boss. Thanks Qlex it was very useful doing that for me.

I've contiually clicked on the 2p link and it still this page couldn't you or someone else upload it to rapidshare as it only takes a few seconds of your precious time considering the size of the file will only be a few hundred kilobytes.
