It would be cool if there was an emu that automatically did a savestate for every frame. That way you can then create pseudo windback features. The only problem being that your savestate folder would run into many Gigabytes, possibly even Terabytes.

What happened to the re-record count? The real figure is clearly well in excess of 4393.
As I used Read-Only Mode, the rerecord count got messed up, and yes, it's much higher than 4k rerecords. I got to calculate how many rerecords I used in Ice Cap, and it was around 7k rerecords!
You could always hex edit the .dtm and give a more accurate guestimate like 45,837.

The driving at the start of Twinkle Park was hilarious. Also can't believe how much you broke Lost World.

Are you working on a run of this hack? If so, is a 0 or 120 star?

Snooker rule: "When the nominated colour is potted, the player will be awarded the correct number of points. The colour is then taken out of the pocket by the referee and placed on its original spot. If that spot is covered by another ball, the ball is placed on the highest available spot. If there is no available spot, it is placed as close to its own spot as possible in a direct line between that spot and the top cushion, without touching another ball." So, how close is "as close as possible without touching another ball" in terms of physics?
In a literal sense it would be one atom. However, snooker is not a sport where the rules tend to be strictly applied. In a disputed situation the referee will usually act more like a mediator, than an enforcer. Its not a complicated or subjective rule IMO. You just place the ball as near as possible to the black spot while still being in line with the brown spot.

You seem to have misunderstood the point of this site. We don't care what artificial limitations you put on yourself. That aside, even by speed run standards your run is bad. It seems more akin to a casual play through. Here's the TAS I did from a number of years ago. Hopefully it will point you in the right direction. By today's standards my TAS isn't that great, and should be easy to improve.

Hopefully the new run will be the OoT TAS to end OoT TASes :-)

A million TASes at once is an impressive technical achievement, but the outcome is usually less than fun to watch.

Only time I ever use a controller for TASing is when 2 or more players are involved, and when I do. I use a GameCube controller.

Instead of snipping GoddessMaria, why don't you put effort and help add-on to the run by saving more time just like the Kirby Team. I mean she has shaved a-lot of time off from the 11:37.87! And if you think it's rubbish what she has done, well your a total muffin (word not allowed to be said but it starts with a p). Check out the things you are questioning and do it yourself.
I don't know what an unrelated game I have no interest in has to do with this topic. The other submission in terms of execution was not in any way good, and neither is this. This isn't some movie that only someone with a sharp eye could spot improvements to, but something even casual viewers could notice.
Are you always nice like that? ^^ As a casual viewer, you said improvements can be done, but didn't give any example. I ask you, do you think 1-1 is improvable, for example? And where?
On the first screen its clearly faster to wrap left on the screen where the door is. Instead of falling all the way down to the rising platform.

While I've never heard of they guy. I can certainly empathize with it, as I had to suffer the same thing with rr_carroll earlier this week. He's the Acryte equivalent of the Tomb Raider community.

You should do some non-superswimming TAS before getting into the real TAS. They would be entertaining as well IMO :P
Non-superswimming TAS would be very dull IMO.

I don't think the run is TASed to an acceptable standard, so no vote.

Shortcuts are often found by skill using various forms of trial an error and discussion. Glitches are nearly always found by fluke or experimentation.

I have no idea how you would figure out rupee drops using MHS. Obviously the frame the bush is cut is only one of the determining factors. Don't forget there is also randomness in where the rupees spawn, and what direction they fly off in. From experience the frame; the attack animation; the camera angle; the angle of the slash, and the RNG are all determining factors.

Sockfolder's easy setup for 'Castle Escape Void Warp as Adult' saves about 1:50 in almost every category. Link to video This glitch works because you hit a loading zone on the same frame you void out from falling too far, so there will be many equivalent ways of triggering the glitch. Maybe someone will make a setup for any% soon.
I take it you could set that up with an angled sidehop?

SoulCal, I have no idea why you would turn down more recognition. Basically, you're willing to limit yourself to a much smaller audience as long as they all understand it's you, rather than a larger audience among whom a small proportion will mistake your work for another's. Suppose keeping your TAS unpublished and exclusive to your own video channel means you get approximately 1,000 viewers (I checked how many views your videos have gotten). Now suppose that publishing your video means that it gets 10,000 viewers, 2,000 of whom fail to recognize that it's your work while 8,000 say, "Hey, this guy SoulCal has made something really great." On what planet is that a bad thing? Edit: And I'd like to echo AngerFist's above sentiment.
You're in the wrong community if you're doing it purely for the recognition. However, I would personally favour submitting the run within the coming weeks. That way the movie can be verified, and can be improved at some point down the line. There is no way I would have taken on games like Karate Kid, Chuck Rock and Quackshot if the previous movies weren't there.
