I have (many) issues with the platform itself. Considering there were less than 20 games released . Can you convince me of 3-4 other games that are worth TASing?

seriously, 10 weeks? that's a joke isn't it? no way you could optimize a 50-55 minutes TAS within that short amount of time
That statement would be true if it was 50-55 mins of complex gameplay, but with cutscenes, text and some trivial parts in the AL section, you're probably talking about 20-25 mins. That said there is 4-5 sections that I'm dreading.

I imagine once progress is started it would take somewhere between 4-10 weeks to finish.

Couldn't the pause trick be used during hyperspeed when you need to kill off Mario's speed.

Not that I've watched this yet, but 11k re-records does seem awfully low for a game of this length and difficulty.

I like Gunstar Heroes, therefore I'll vote yes in the meantime.

I don't agree with publishing this movie. It falls under "fixed puzzle soloutions". It seems to be a common theme over the last year or so that since fewer movies have been submitted that we must dumb down our criteria for acceptance.

If there absolutely has to be monetary gain to go along with the awards, I'd suggest just limiting it to TAS of the year and TASer of the year.
^This At least that way the monetry awards are more likely to have significance In relations to bountys, unless it's a fairy small project like something which could be done within the space of a couple of weeks then money incentives are unlikely to provide much motivation. Even if you offered me $1k to do a 100% TAS of Majora's Mask I still wouldn't do given that if would eat up all my free time over the space of a year.

TASVideos - what it would look like if Chuck Norris played videos games
I'd be more interested in knowing how much wood would Chuck Norris chuck if Chuck Norris could chuck wood.

Congratulations on the discovery. So what does this exactly do to the route, what items we get and all?
It will effect every run of OoT. In terms of the any% it means we can get the odd mushroom in the Fortress, skipping the egg+cojoiro. The only downside is that we won't have bombs for superslides.

The actual gameplay was good to watch, but the score screens even with frame skip was excessively long and wrecked my enjoyment, No vote.

It saves a frame in BitDW, if anyone is wondering.
I find that odd given that Mario can only travel so fast, otherwise he can't steer round that bend and stay on the course.

Can you use it by grabbing a bomb?
If you do it off a stationery object but don't have strength upgrades
Bombs are not stationery objects.

How does this glitch work?
A superslide is a ground jump except where you get knocked back at a very high terminal speed if Link shields damage while performing the glitch on a paticular frame. If you do it off a stationery object but don't have strength upgrades Link will warp to the object and attempt to grab provided it's still loaded, but Link's Z-axis doesn't change when he warps meaning...
Could this be used after beating gandorf?
No

I don't understand what difference auto-firing the start button makes.

This is just a testrun showing the new route. It should be easilly possible to get below 55 minutes. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/645784645/Any%25%20SLAKAB%20.m64

OH GOD PLEASE NO, THAT TRICK IS GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE TO PULL OFF NEVER MIND OPTIMIZE I guess it's back to square one again where we're effectively using the same route as the old WIP except we'll need to get 80 rupee's before entering HM so we can buy the shield.

If you get there via zoras river or directly is largely irrelevant, since it's silver scale vs. golden scale and silver scale is faster.
That argument would become irrelavent if a scarecrow/bean skip was possible since we'd get the cucco bottle instead.

important right now. What would be important to know if the loading zones for these gatways are already there before the Ganondorf fight.
You can check that without using cheats, via use of the hookshot clip + bomb hover glitch. There is no loading zone, you simply fall into the void.

Are you kidding me? Voted "No." This is not even CLOSE to optimized. I played this game a lot years back. Also, I would rather see an N64 run instead to avoid load times and get better graphics.
I have to admit I felt the same when watching it. I find it hard to tell the difference between this and real time. "meh" vote.
