I was getting about 180 on average, although I did manage a 150 on one attempt.

This run completes this same level in just under 25". But unfortunately, no one seems to want to do a full run of this game, which is a shame because both this and the one track run of Top Gear are rather embarrassing. :/ EDIT: It also looks like this glitch would work in every level, which would severely limit the entertainment value of a full run, unfortunately.
I don't think that glitch works in GP mode so no dice. In relation to the single track issue, I thought the rules were changed so single level/track runs weren't accepted in the future. They'll remain until someone submits a full run.

Did anyone notice any subliminal message on level 87?

Wow, how did you manipulate the guard to open the door just as you were approaching it?

I was refering more to the fact that PC runs use mouses, which with practice you can achieve far faster and more accurate movements compared to using an analogue controller.

The idea of a pointer which shows where the camera will look at in the next frame sounds like an ingenious idea Could this idea be implemented in some FPS games for the N64 and PlayStation?
I doubt it, since you're using analougue controls. It should be possible to do on the Wii.

Wow, no Mario,Sonic, Zelda or Metroid games. What has the world come to? In that case I'll vote for Megaman 2

I think the route have the Jolly Roger Bay near the start so this can't be allowable.
That wasn't the impression I was under, I thought the route was being ajusted so JRB was done after the basement was completed

As mentioned in your submission, the first half of your run contains a lot of imprecisons. There is still imprecisions in the second half, but it's far less notcitable to the average viewer, it seemed like I was watching a run made by two different authors in a way. I was impressed with how you implemented some of the tricks at the end. I guess they'll need to be implemented at the start of a new run when an improvement comes along. The emulation lag in the impact stages were complete overkill, I just hope these encoders know some magic formula to eliminate it. Yes vote for the time being.

Beating a chess program on the highest difficulty in the fewest possible moves wouldn't be so hard if you were to use the latest chess programs to assist you in making moves. I think playing a chess computer on the easiest difficulty and showing how terrible the AI it is would be more interesting to watch. EDIT: A better idea would be to have 2 players playing against each other and making high level moves.

I don't ever remember Nintendo correcting the blj bug, or any other glitch within the game when I downloaded the VC version.

It's makes it easier for the typical viewer (considering many people can't even sync the .m64), which typically means more people see it and therefore more feedback.

I don't like the idea of lowering criteria (even though I personally think I should have the skilled player ranking), the ones who definitley should have that rank or better do have it. I'd be more in favour of adding or changing criteria, maybe taking into account effort or commitent taken in specific movies i.e. number of re-records, re-records per movie length, length of movie.

I thought the game was being TASed on the setting which allows two controllers to be used at once.

This game is really annoying to TAS though because it desyncs so much.
Thats not the issue it used to be thanks to the introduction of antids.

4500 rerecords for 10 seconds of TAS?!
Thats nothing really, considering when me+SL submitted the first 0 star TAS, the blj on the BitDW elavator took well in excess of 10k re-records, and thats for only a 2-3 seconds of gameplay.

I'd say it falls somewhere between Lord_Tom and Phil. Since they've both improved games which are popular and well optimized, but since I've worked with Lord_Tom, I know the in depth analysis he'll goto in order to get a full understanding of the game, where as I will just do a brute force/random testing approach.
