We have already drawn up plans to have this completed during the summer.

That's also going to be great for people with sucky keyboards that can't press many keys at a time. Yay!
You could always use a controller, if that becomes an overburdening issue. I'm looking forward to this feature potentially being implemented. Especially for games that have more than 2 players. It would be useful for doing a Co-op Duke Nukem 64 run, which I'm considering doing in the distant future.

Notably improved from the last time yes vote. I still think we need to establish categories for this game, given the different platforms and versions.

If you've ever speedrunned OoT you would know that descending ZR is significantly faster than taking the owl, assuming you've just obtained the bottle from King Zora.

Ideally if you wanted the fastest run you would use 2 Max's, but you'll be exposed to watching endless atomic drops. I definitly don't want to see two of the same characters used, as the action would be less varied and be more confusing to follow.

A while ago we did a test run where we got the sword and used ESS to escape Kokiri. Sidehopped to Lake Hylia, got the golden scale and obtained the bottle and headed down Zora's River (after speaking to King Zora). It became dawn when we were halfway down ZR. Because of this I don't see how obtaining the golden scale is worthwhile, after all the distances in Lake Hylia and Zora's river is massive. I think it's best just to get the silver scale. The only question is where bugs will be obtained. Is there any good spots in ZR? If not it will either have to be obtained in the graveyard or in a grotto as AL.

I really don't know why everyone is so down on this game. I honestly didn't think it was THAT BAD. There really are worse games out there. -.-
No one is saying that the game is actually bad, it's just doesn't rank very well as a Zelda game and contains many elements which make it inappropiate for Speedrunning.

Could you please provide more info in your submission text next time, as I feel this particular movie merits it. What can I say, this movie obseletes one of the oldest runs on the site and many of the tough situations during the game are handled very creatively. Yes vote.

I'm looking forward to seeing a new run that uses 2p combos if (when) it gets submitted.

Yes vote, I enjoyed the Star Light zones and the trick at the end of Scrap Brain 2. I'm curious if you implemented the 5 frame improvement in Green Hill 1? It's also possible to improve Marble 2 by at least 4 frames as well.

Voting 'no'. The run doesn't look optimized, In areas where tight control is required you're movements kind of awkward, and in corridors you're taking so many corners wide. Sticking solely to the knife may sound like a great accolisment to an unassisted runner, but it doesn't really look impressive in a TAS. You should be luck manipulating head shots with the berreta. The thing that bothered me the most was how timid the AI is. Many of the enemies seem to be oblivious that a human is jogging past them.

You could always use M3ed . It proved invaluable when I was making the warpless run as it not only allows you view the levels on an editor you can also edit parts of the game to test other stuff.

I was always wondering if you can access the secret area without being raccoon Mario. Can you climb walls by walljumping repeatedly?
Impossible for two reasons. 1. Mario can't reach high enough to do one wall jump 2. Mario's speed is too low to wall jump continously off the same wall 3. The distance is so high that it will almost certainly cost time over obtaining the racoon suit.

The current run is one of the oldest on the site. Given the advances in TASing tools it would be fair to expect it to be done using 2 players. I'm pretty sure it's possible to improve it by a bigger margin than what you've stated.

I don't know why you keep bringing the Guay method skip so often especially when I've explained it to you a couple of times how infeasible it is. 1. Even it its possible it is still very slow 2. There is only one Guay in Lake Hylia 3. It takes a long time to lure a Guay over to the fishing pond 4. You would (if you're lucky) only be able to get 1 hover at max because the Guay will fly away to where it originally came from. 5. Controlling Guay's behaviour will be very difficult

The glitching made it cool for the first couple of minutes but that was all the game had to offer. I felt traumatized every time I heard the music for the autoscrolling stages after a mini game was completed. "No" vote.

There's always the guay skip, can you hit it with a deku nut to keep it in the right place or make it come back to get you?
A deku nut cause flying enemies to fall to the ground.

was there a way to do a forward facing megaflip? or what about a mega sidehop that let's you grab the ledge?
you can't grab ledges while backflipping or sidehopping in OoT, so this is impossible ;)
You could do a forward sidestep and then jumpslash at the end.

Are you sure, that the lag is up to the version and not the system?
When I TASed the MQ version of the game the opening sequence was 3-4 seconds faster, so you're saving 1 second per minute on average.
