I found an obscure game on the Gb called Itchy & Scratchy - Minature Golf Madness (U) Basically it's a 2D platform golf game and there is only 18 levels.

Pokemon never appeared on a Genesis system when they first debuted.
Exactly. They're a trademark of Nintendo and Game Freak. Plus, it's a pirated game, which means that Nintendo and Game Freak never gave the permission to the company who made this game to make a game based on Pokemon
Did Nintendo ever give permission to the creators of the Super Demo World hack?

For OoT it would have been better to have choosen the trick in the Fire temple around about 1:48:45 . Generally I thought many games were given too much exposure time, but I did like the intro.

Depends on the game. It should be relatively short and obscure. GB or GBA games would make good choices.

The biggest problem I find with them is that they're range is too short, basically meaning that you can only access them if you're within the center of a major town or city, and the constant disconnections you get. I think the theoretical max atm is 7mbits per second assuming you're in view of the mast in a perfectly flat field and being the only person whose using it. I've heard WI-FI max might replace the WI-FI, allowing a range which can cover an entire city and have faster connection speeds.

Yes you can apply for a partnership, but I've heard YouTube is pretty tight when comes to offering 2006 director style accounts.

I would be interested to know more about that stuff.

But how does this community TAS project work, andymac ?
I assume people will TAS stars either individially or compete for each one ,then hex them assuming it's not a star which can be effected by randomness.

Is Robert still working on his run ?
Probably not
Nahoc wrote:
Could we hex in the stars that he made and that aren't obsolete?
Already answered

Do we really need those MHS and speed adresses things for this 120 stars run ?
Unless you think a horse and cart is faster than a porsche.

Also, SMB has no randomness, if someone were to actually try this insanity.
I don't know why you're saying that because you can delay movements for one frame and manipulate the positions of goomba and koopas.

Fantastic WIP MrGrunz, some very crafty and unexpected things. One comment I'd like to note is while you use angled backwalking in certain parts of the run you fail to use the diagonal backwalking trick which allows for faster acceleration at the start of backwalks. It also allows you to backwalk with greater precision allowing you to save 3-12 frames for every backwalk. Don't forget it also applies after you perform a backflip as well.

There was someone working on a low% TAS, but they've pretty much ceased all activety on this site. I don't think Grunz is working on an all stones/medalions atm. He's focusing his efforts on MM, interestingly there's probably about 30 mins of improvements in both the runs he's doing.

Do you think its possible for this game to be done under 2 hours? Nice route.
Not only is it possible to go under 2 hours. It will be done with 10-15 mins to spare.

The behavior toward ivmaddnessvi in this thread pisses me off. We have a new potential TASer, and you just want to run him off?
Moozooh covered this subject some time ago. If a potential new TASer gets scared off by a response like this, then it's unlikely they would ever become a serious/respectable TASer in the future regardless.

I would assume "Good enough" means faster than what a human TASer would capable of doing without endless iterations. Brute force is not the way to go. You would need to use heuristics, that way the bot would have some understanding with the way the game works. At least that way ideal inputs to a relatively short and simple game could be found in several million inputs. Rather than more cosmic figures.

Uploading this to YouTube. Please remove the YouTube link from the previous Gimmik! runs TAS as I will be removing it to prevent duplicate results when people look for this TAS. Uploaded. Edit: I think it desynced, is there any way to get an encode that was made in exactly the same fashion as Kiwi Kraze?
Never mind the desync. Thank you for uploading and 'Yes' vote.

There's one game, though, which does have a winning pattern, but it's pretty complicated: Blackjack. This is the only winning pattern which is both legal and will get you banned from all casinos in the US if you use it. (Not that many people are able to do it, as it's so complicated. (OTOH the method works only in classic blackjack where one set of n decks is always played through before a new shuffling. Many casinos nowadays prevent the strategy by shuffling all used cards back into the deck right away, which completely defeats the winning strategy.)
You're refering to card counting, the movie 21 gave a huge number of myths about card counting. Mainly making out you needed to be genius to do it. Concentration is the hardest part of doing it, but most people will use cancellation methods to count faster. In Atlantic city there are not allowed to ban players for being card counters so they get round it by shuffling earlier. It can be beat using shuffle tracking methods but it means being at the table for a lot longer.

Entirely incorrect all games have a defined minimal input to complete the game. Although it is generally arrogant/ignorant to claim that certain runs are perfect, even with the Saturnesqe notion of assuming it's perfect till proven otherwise. it is just as wrong to claim that no TAS is ever perfect.
