There's a couple of avatars this has effected. I checked a couple of images I uploaded some time ago and they appear unaffected.

One thing I must say about the rerecord limitation, I think that shouldn't be used, since it's easy to have a screwed up rerecord count by cut/paste or hexediting.
What are the odds that a troll will know about hex editing and the nifty things that it can potenially achieve? Many of the experienced players on the site don't even know how to hex edit. Preventing someone whose never posted or whose only made a handful of posts from submitting is a bad idea. Unless there is something to prevent more than one rejected submission being made in a day

I sincerly doubt he would have settled with the Chandler family for the ~$20 million dollars unless they had something on him.
To add to that if some rich guy attempted to kill me and then offered $20 million not to bring him to trial. I would certainly not take it, despite how life changing it would be to me, and perhaps only a make a small dent to his fortune. It would probably save a hell of a lot in the long term given all the expensive legal costs and damage to his repuation he would have to go through and with the prospect of facing a long jail sentence.

It's a little bit borderline doing the ToT skip and doing the YL dungeons as AL. If you plan on doing the ToT trick then I think you're route can be further refined. For example completing DC as AL would be a lot quicker. Also you would want to do the Deku Tree after you beat the Water Temple so you can use the Fire Arrows to burn the webs.

I've heard that the J version of DK64 is TASable but I was unable to get beyond the the opening intro. There is a lot of emulation errors, but is it acceptable enough? Anyway, recent developments means that only 5 golden bananas are needed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAD8UQveSjg&feature=channel_page

Apparently insiders before the People Vs Jackson trial in 2005 thought there was little chance of the trial being successful. They're probably the most highly uncredible prosecution witnesses I've ever come across.

Wasn't the skin condiction caused by exposure to UV. I've seen footage where had to use an umbrella to shade himself from the sun on hot days.

Kinda hard not to notice since there's been wall to wall coverege of his recent death. Use this thread to post various opinions on his music and life. One thing I've noticed about him in general is that his videos seem to take center stage over his music. My personal favourite music/video combo is Smooth Criminal

is mrrobertz still working on the 120 start TAS?
I haven't spoken to robertz in many months. Last I heard he was getting the vanish cap. I personally think he's not working on it anymore. He's redone a lot of stuff, some of it wasn't too difficult because input can be hexed in, but there has been further improvements that have since been found which would require more redos.

I don't see the point in updating old avi's. Most of them aren't even seeded and many of them have long overdue improvements.

I find the stage intro chime really catchy. The ingame stage music drives me insane. The TAS, through awkward movements and delays does a good job at showing how difficult the game is and it's a short run. Plus is AVGN material so thats extra bonus points. I'll give it a strong meh vote.

I have a dirty little secret I TAS using frame advance and abusing savestates. I then run them back on a input file which is then synced with the game in order to give the impression that I'm playing the game in real time. God have mercy on my soul.

Also, 9000 rerecord for 8min is nothing so "special", its small even...
After reading this I decided to compare this to the average rerecord rate you would expect for a movie of this length. After taking a trip to the movie statistics page and pulling out these statistics. Average movie length: 24:21 Average rerecord count: 27412 I converted the movie length into frames and divided it by the rerecord rate and got the magic number of 3.1978. I then divided it by the frame count of this movie and got 9892.738 (to avoid speculation of rounding bias). So it seems that 9241 is well below average. For it to be hard or an incredible amount of effort put in you would need to be 2.5 to 3x above the average. So you would need to take at least 25 to 30k rerecords to justify that statement.

But we REALLY need a new any%. I really hoped that it would continue this year but judging by the progress of mupen+ it won't happen before 2012, if ever. I'm not demanding, or anything, just saying that I'm somewhat disappointed...
I'm pretty sure if mupen+ became available then the run could be completed in a matter of weeks. I don't want to do a death warp because I don't want to implement minor improvements in the future with a reset being the biggest time saver. I'd rather do it right first time round. As was mentioned several pages ago, the soft reset is available on Linux but it has yet to be ported to Windows.

Golden Nugget is like Vegas Stakes except it offers several additional games that you don't normally get in traditional casino games and the RNG is extremely abusable. It's not to difficult to create unlikely or what would be viewed as rigged if it came up in real life scenario. Orginally I tried playing video poker to see if I could manipulate a Royal flush. I needed to manipulate just two cards, but after 1000+ tries I couldn't get it. I then tried blackjack, and tried a mixture of ridiculous plays to hit 21, I'm sure there is countless more imaginive things I could have done. I then tried 5 card draw to see if I can win the maximum amount of money on the table. I think this will prove very difficult because everyone must be dealt a strong drawing/hand so that they raise every round and then hit their draw, with you getting the best hand. This was the .m64 I did a while ago... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/785178361/GOLDEN%20NUGGET%2064%20%28USA%29.m64 I don't know what if people would want to see a movie where bankroll is maxed out as quickly as possible or if various games are played to show some comedic outcomes. Also if you use Jabo 1.6 you can see what the face down cards are.
