1. 3 to 4 knowledgeable people tried to recreate an .m64 based on what they saw.
2. All of us fail, while some of the others scratch their heads in bemusement.
3. After analysing the video frame by frame I realised a strange walking on hills effect which is most common when a game shark is used.
4. The guy who originally made the video then registered on the forums trying to claim his trick was real.
5. Most of us weren't convined so we told him to recreate what he did on a .m64, but he said he would make a video proving beyond doubt that it was legitimate. In the process he throws a hissy at just about everyone, ignoring key accusations and focusing on the less relevent parts.
6. He then posts a video which to a novice would be absolute proof, but some of us still weren't convinced, based on the idea that a video can potentially be faked using an array of methods.
7. He then throws another string of hissys at several people, again ignoring key accusations.
8. He then said he would make an .m64, but claims to have trouble using Mupen
9. After several people PMed him on AIM he used a number of stalling techniques and inadvertently tries to escape conversations altogether
i.e
krohn7master (22:40:41): Oops
krohn7master (22:42:58): I think its AIM that is slowing down the computer
krohn7master (22:43:03): I'll be back later to check in
AKA (22:43:12): AIM uses very little processor power
krohn7master (22:43:44): I'm using a different client
AKA (22:43:52): Closing down IE or FF would be more effective
In the process he claimed that pulling the trick was one of those "once in a lifetime" things. Which couldn't possiblty be true given that what he did was so straightforward, and the fact that he managed to pull another equally impossible trick with ease.
EDIT: Forgot there is still 10 days left to prove it.
Mario needs to be in the water for a frame before he enters his swimming animation. The water detection will be something like
Water Coordinates X,Y,Z
If Mario's Coordinates is X,Y AND Mario is < Z then goto Mario's Swim Sub Routine
Yes, the conversation itself doesn't really present damming evidence (if any). Not that there is still a lot of unanswered questions. Although I will admit that I believe krohn is deliberatley stalling by not trying to recreate what he's done on on a .m64.
EDIT: I will give you give you 2 weeks starting from Tommorow to prove what you did on a .m64.
As mentioned earlier an .m64 will prove everything beyond doubt, because it would be impossible to cheat that way, since if it was GSed it would desync when everyone else tries to watch it. An AVI or camcorder footage doesn't prove it because it can be potentially faked. For example in the video that you recently posted you can easilly have pre-recorded footage and pretended to be playing it.
The problem is you've done overly simple things which goes against the games basic logic. If 6-7 highly knowledgable are saying "that definitley doesn't happen normally" then serious doubts are going to be raised.
The water collision works the exact same way as it does in OoT. It's not the same as SM64DS where surface checks get done. BTW, I did try the trick out for myself before I drew any conclusions and I did study your video carefully while attempting. I did a warp style blj which would have had a more optimal effect than what was demonstrated in your video, and a version which pretty much replicates what you did frame for frame. Neither of them were successful. I then downloaded your video and studied it frame by frame for any oddities, and I noticed there was 3 particular frames which caught my eye. You had running animation on a slope which Mario would normally slide on.
This defies basic game logic, but can however be replicated by a walk underwater cheat.
If you create a new .m64 on mupen (not from a savestate) and successfully replicate the glitch for us, then we will gladly owe you an apology, but for now I'm too clouded with suspicion to take this seriously.
I have doubts about the legitimacy of it, unless the orginal submitter of the trick can prove otherwise. Also, I'm pretty sure you can't open the moat door even if you have the metal cap on, or if you were to use the warp cheat to make Mario appear right in front of the door.
After some testing it appears Link's speed drops from an initial superslide speed of -18 to -10, but you continuously turn and maintain this speed until one hearts is contempt. You need to let go of Z+R for a period of 9-24 frames.
OK I have a couple of questions to add to this topic
Given that finite resources i.e. fossil fuels which are being to used to fuel our energy needs. What would be the most likely alternative in the future?
The internet is increasing with new users every day and people are demanding higher speeds all the time. With people wanting to download large files and watch videos on sites like YouTube, there is a fear that the internet may grind to a halt.
What would be the most reasonable way to solve the problem?
Before giving your opinion you should note that it takes many years to replace cables, possibly decades, and costs billions of dollars.
You made individial points; you never made points which go in harmony with each other. Thank you for displaying your vast ignorance, and I will call your random lash out an epic win for me :-)
The way I see justice is that if you do something bad, something bad gets done to you in return. In my opinion, the best punishment is an eye-for-an-eye type of punishment where applicable.
Again, you've just implied revenge, which is about making the victim feel better.
The way I see it is that if you murder someone, you deserve to get the same treatment. It's not about revenge, it's about justice.
That is revenge, thats simply pleasing the victim who may be filled with bitter hatred with no thought for the criminal what so ever. They do have feelings however hard that may be for you to grasp. Justice is about harmony, a life sentence or death penalty should never be considered light treatment.

Sidenote: Of course in Finland we've never heard of justice, so here a 19-year-old man who burned a church and turned himself in was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison
You've clearly been taken by a cherry picking media. Considering he turned himself in I wouldn't consider that "light treatment" at all. If anything I would have considered that a little too harsh. A lot can happen in 7 years you know, ever heard of OoT?

and when 2 men sexually abused their stepchildren for several years one of them got 5 and the other 7 months of conditional jailtime, i.e. they didn't spend one day in prison.
Thats probably because they have mental health problems, there is special rehabilitation for that sort of stuff. I'm sure their step-children were taken away from them to avoid being harmed in future.
Of course Gameshark codes are not allowed in TASes, but it doesn't mean that having codes would be useful for testing certain things. Also it's easy to disprove if someone was to use them anyway, otherwise the run would desync for everyone.
I actually watched "10" minutes of it. The game is the exact same all the way through and the same imprecisions were being made throughout. You do realise the inverse argument could be applied had I gave this a 10 for technical, but no one would ever dare question the legitimacy of such a rating would they?
