I did not do that fight, however, I do have faith that Shinryuu, AngerFist, Bisqwit, and FinalFighter all knew what they were doing when they TASed that fight, they did a good job.
I did not cast any doubt on you or any of the following TASers you mentioned. Its a just a very easy oversight.

Whoa I never expected a Megaman improvement to be this big. Congrats to your achievement. One thing I will say is that your Megaman clone battle could be improved by 1-2 frames.

This was one I did a while ago, not great but just about acceptable.

That logo seems to suggest its a TAS site exclusive for Megaman games which plain wrong, but I do agree with Bisqwit that the artwork seems to take presedence over the message itself. If you want to have a games character then make sure they only take up a portion of the screen.

It would be best to light the eyes with bombchu's after climbing the ladder at the start. After that you can continue through the dungeon until you get the bomb bag.

1. You're talking about a run I submitted (as my first TAS) nearly 2 years ago, which did improve parts of the current published movie. 2. It was rejected for reasons relating to the catagory, not because of its technical quality. 3. Yes, maybe back then your lack of TASing skill and knowledge caused you to take 6 months to get to grips with the game, not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that. 4. Like you just mentioned you don't think theres resources that I could refer like currently published TASes. 5. Yes there is spindash and having to use tails, that does add to the difficulty but also simplifes certain aspects of the game. Enough of your trash talking I'll wave goodbye to this thread.

I think you're wrong. I think what moozooh meant is "there are only about 2 players on the site who have the technical knowledge and TASing proficiency necessary to do a run like that which lives up to current site standards." And I think he's absolutely correct. With SprintGod, Nitsuja, and JXQ out of the TASing scene, I think Quietust and myself are probably the only people left around with the capability to do a really good Sonic TAS. And I'm not totally sure when I say that I can. I tend to be pretty crappy when it comes to issues of style. And besides, I certainly don't have the motivation to do a full length S3K TAS right now.
Forgot to mention there is only one person capable of producing a perfect Super Metroid TAS :-D Judging from your last statement my correction of Moozooh's statement is indeed right. Motivation far exceeds abilty or capabilty of making a TAS. I doubt it would take me that long to ajust to this game, only as you just mentioned I have no motivation (or interest) in doing such a run.

I'll try correcting Moozooh's inital post since I feel he conveyed the wrong message. Originally

Not that I'd agree with either statement moreso the first one, but to each his own.

All this is really quite a complicated issue. Most people will define success in life as money or love based, but there probably the least important things, but its all people will ever really talk about. Some people will judge things by success or failure, in that aspect only a small fraction of people will succeed. So I wouldn't define that as greatly important either. Some people will try to live there lives for other people will others will live for themselves. Personally I would try to strike a balance between the two, but ultimately you, yourself are the most important thing however much spin, argument or counter argument you put against it. I don't personally think existence has any purpose other than to take advantage, enjoy and appreaciate whats round us. In the end I feel its important to pass gained knowledge on. As thats how people evolve and better themselves. Rather than the aspect of "I managed to figure it out myself and so should you" If that attidude existed we'd probably still be stuck in the stone age. Although to cap it off there is still things about life and the universe that puzzle me and I'm afraid I'll never be able to figure it all out before my time comes to an end.

Yes vote, I quite liked the glitch you used at the end of the Launch Base level and for killing Knuckles super fast, as well as the glitch in Hydrocity. I wish you tried to improve at least some of Nitsuja's parts rather just implementing new tricks, as the run feels more like I'm watching his run espeacially considering that the previous stylistic choices have been maintained througout.

A couple of years ago it might have been acceptable to submit one track of a game, since there was a lack of frame advance and memory watch adding to "this genre is so hard that you're gonna be taking at least 2 years spending every waking hour just so you can produce an acceptable run of every track in the game". I honestly don't see why racing games should get speacial treatment in this sense much like having 1 level in a sonic game.

The fact that you need hoverboots means it not applicable to a TAS since you'll either need a load of bombchus so you can bombhover into the Shadow Temple and get the hoverboots or go through a long trade sequence as YL so you can RBA the boots in.

to get it synch, make sure you have the (U) (V1.0) ROM and mempak enabled. if glN64 0.4.1 is problematic, you can use Direct64. synched for me so far.
You're refering to the wrong WIP, which reminds me. Did he remember to disable mempak.

Ekans Hurl and Sushi Go Round are luck based, so knowing the best possible score is impossible. I don't think the other mini games are suitable to TAS since there mostly button bash games and aren't timed so the only pleasure you would get from it is "look how bad you made the computer look". I might check to see if Stadium 2 has any interesting mini games.

32 is more than possible to get because if you look at the video you can see the timer stops 1-2 frames before I can jump again.

Judging by Tub's statement he cannot possibly be pleased. TASing and Speedrunning is not a charity, and some level of competion is always involved.

I did this because I was having an argument as to what the best obtainable score was for Makicarps Splash in Pokemon Stadium. When we played each other he managed to get 28 and claimed it as flawless. This then lead into a debate as, since I claimed that 30+ is probaly possible. So I subsequently made this to prove my point. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-r64liSaQyM

This is a weird question. Is the fastest way from leaving kokiri and heading to kakariko to perform a superslide off the peahat or to just sidehop to it? I have had a lot of trouble getting the angle for the superslide correct.
http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/320190289/AKA-OoT_MQ.m64 And yes, supersliding is about 3 seconds faster than sidehopping and pulling it off and getting the angle is hard.

I've watched that speed run overall it was pretty poor and TSA was more than aware of it at the time, since the game didn't really deserve any great attention to detail in the first place. There has been quite a few substantial tricks discovered since then so you'd be looking to improve the run by about an hour now.

In defense of saturns keeping redesign a secret.... I was the one who confirmed something cool, and I wanted it a full secret until WIP5. however no one should claim perfection, because there will ALWAYS be 1 frame to be saved.
Its not clever to claim perfection on a game like this, but equally its not right to claim perfection can never be reached.

As much as some people are tempted by that, it would be profoundly wrong IMO. Since there isn't evidence of trolling, flaming or outbursts while not contributing. Many people are guilty of these actions towards him, not that I'm saying it was entirely unexpected or unjusified. He does contribute, but not in ways which are generally helpful towards the thread, but there is strong evidence that he does contribute like with that recent glitch on the Mother Brain. I don't really agree with your statement of giving community a bad name as most people don't follow (or care about) board politics.

I got anti virus software when I bought my compute but didn't update when it expired. I did have one problem where my mouse pointer kept freezing but was still able to use my keyboard, I don't know if it was computer or virus related. Although it wasn't difficult just to backup a few recent files and undo my computer.
