You can escape pretty much all BRoD's, apart from the one outside the castle, although you can get out on the lobby side.

Genisto, I used to have respect for you as a TASer. You put out some great runs back in the day. But I suggest you retire again...go back into hibernation. This piece of shit was awful. While there were indeed some interesting qwirks, the game was far from entertaining or fast. This would be a good video for YouTube, nothing more. Considering your submissions for this and SMB3 (from All-Stars) is the same, I'm not even gonna bother wasting my time watching that. This run was disgusting. I've lost all respect for you. BIG FAT VOTE FOR NO. (P.S. I have no problem with runs that don't aim for speed [ala River City Ransom run] but I would expect it to be very very entertaining. This run is not the case.)
Congratulations, you're an asshole.
Congratulations on making an unconstrutive post EDIT: Oh yeah, RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDGGGGEEEEEEE RRRRRRRAAAAAACCCCCCEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I did enjoy some parts, the parts I didn't like far outwayed the stuff I did like, such as excessive waiting periods and too many deaths. They were was a few things I didn't know, but pretty much all of the tricks are shown in all the current TASes. I'm gonna have to give this a 'no' vote.

So for every re-record there is about 20 seconds of gameplay.

I personally find the NES counterpart to be a bit of a ZZZZzzzzzfest, but there is a few problems. 1. I got a desync at around frame 20,000 2. Annoying repetive music 3. It was largely unimpressive, it looked too easy with little that could halt progress I'll give this one a 'meh'

I watched the previous movie first before this one just so I can understand what has been improved. The switching in the 1p run was more annoying that anything else and its great how you used 2 players to your advantage such as cancelling the rocking which seemed to be the biggest time saver. Anyway 'yes' vote.

It's a piece of trivial information. No one NEEDS trivia, but it's fun to know. We know it is true from his early WIPs. No one is "promoting the author over the movie". What the hell is it with you AKA that the 5-year old inside you needs to constantly make sure that no one is needlessly praised, at least if it's not you? About the 2,5 years: who cares how he spent it? Who cares if he did the first level in one day in 2004 and then finished the rest in a week in 2007? What the HELL does it matter? It's still a project that took 2,5 years to finish: a 2,5 year project. I changed the word long-term to long, so I hope you're happy now.
Talk about self destruction...

The ending is missing in the AVI. Good encode overall IMO.

Modesty is probably my only negative trait yeah.

I took the liberty and deleted lots of off topic posts. Also, no, Taco and Saturn are not the same person as I checked and compared their IP (although that probably does not tell us much).
I think it would have been better to move them to an off topic section, that way the posts can at least still be read and referenced in future. I'll throw my 2 centes in by saying...

The movie description i.e. "Most of the tricks are however the same ― tricks which were invented by various authors, such as Zaku, Sleepz, Genisto, Phil and DonamerDragon" Is not technically correct since tricks aren't invented there found. Plus no need to mention any of the previous authors in the description except from maybe the last one.

Seriously, 100% is a really bad idea. There is too many questionable methods and debates as to what exactly is 100%. The only other catagory I can contemplate is an all medalion run without the use of BA. Even then the addional temples are really badly broken to the point where 90% of the usual dungeon requirements are skipped.

I still think Niffy's run should stay at the list of the official runs, but referring to a different mode, being "aims for the shortest time with the restriction of not being hit". Non-hit runs are cool, and Niffy's was great.
That idea has merit, but unfortunately the technical quality IMO is too inferior to justify keeping the other one published. Of course the AVI for that run is still availble via the archive.org link. One thing I will say is, while arguably avoiding damage may look better, I think the run I did was more entertaining during waiting periods as a whole.

It took 4 years to get there. By the 2000th published movie, I'm sure things will be very different, if that time ever comes.

I enjoyed the run and it was well played, I espeacially like how you made a complete mockery of the Control objective when protecting Natalya. There is one problem though/ a couple of problems though 1. You used antids Its not like you used an outdated emu, or a different one from what most people would choose, the main problem is that its not approved and it has problems creating AVIs i.e. there corrupted. Plus I don't see how it was neccesary to use it because you didn't even require a reset. Also there seems to be some horrible unnatural lag in places where regular Mupen doesn't have it, such as throughout most of the Cradle level. 2. You choosed to do the easiest level You may choose to bring up that Duke_64 plays on the easiest setting, but the problem here is that 00A setting makes the game harder and more interesting as well as complicate the game with extra and stricter objectives. Many of the levels on agent difficulty can be completed just by running to the end of the level e.g. Dam, Streets and Depot. I congratulate you for your efforts though and hope that you'll choose to obselete Tempest's run someday. I'll give this one a 'meh'

EDIT: I noticed you brought up the Aladdin description There was a good reason for that (for me at least).
So it's a good thing that you changed it to say "This improves the previous movie by 3 minutes and 14 seconds over the previous movie"? Guybrush was not commenting on policy. He was commenting about language. Tautology falls to the domain of language, not policy :)
Thats what minor edits are for. I noticed and corrected it right away, so whats your point? Policy is more important than aimless elitism.

Guybrush, you never make good or useful posts yourself other than 'read the FAQ [/url] ' also that OoT tricks resources is still largely in progress, and yes I already know most of the corrections. EDIT: I noticed you brought up the Aladdin description There was a good reason for that (for me at least). The main criticism I have of editors and publishers on this site is that there not neutuel or impartial enough in there descriptions and editing, often trying to credit or promote themselves[*] or others for runs, or use words like 'incredible' or 'amazing' improvement/TAS. Deny it all you like but its not fair on other movies which are actually more surprising compared to the runs they obseleted. [*] much like adelikat did with his Gradius run in the full Arkanoid run description, or when Phil tried to make out that using 2 characters in Double Dragon 2 was really hard to do as well as Bisquit himself crediting himselfing for figuring out how to pass through walls in SMB3.

One thing I'd like to mention although there probally won't be any use is that If you use L+R during a roll it will cause Sonic to imeadiatley stand up again while being partially in the ground, doing another roll and cancelling it will cause him to sink further, sadly I haven't found a use for it yet.

Thinking about it now, the only real prevention to skipping the slingshot is the bombchu switch in the Spirit, there has to be a quick way to activate it without the slingshot. This is in reference to OoT.

Is that method tmout brought up the same as Charmale's method when you combine two enemies and they shoot up to the top of the screen, I definitley thought there would be a use for it in a warpless run. I can only assume that it was tested and no use was found for it :(
