I actually realised I had the rom and its one of the best runs I've seen for a while although much of the lag could have been reduced by firing nearer to enemies.

Editing a part out of a movie is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, especially when the viewer can manually skip it themselves.

I first learned about the site through archive.org, smb3, smb1 (fake) and track and field are probally the first ones I saw. Lurked for months but never registered, heck I couldn't even find the forum for ages so I mostly had my head buried in the FAQ section, mainly becuase I couldn't figure out how to download AVI's through not having BitTorrent and couldn't figure out how to play a movie file through not having the emulators or the roms. How I ended up finding the forum and registering? ZOMG this forum knows nothing about OoT and the up to date tricks and methods methods.

I meant movies that haven't been obsoleted, duh!
I don't see how a non-glitch run can differ that much from the run I just linked.

Yes naturally, I'm so glad I didn't give the last one a 10 technical rating.

1: Load The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (U) [!] rom 2: let the movie play up until the screen where you choose your name (only a few seconds), and let it desync 3: close the rom, and open it again 4: load the movie, and enjoy
Its much easier just to delete the save file ingame there and then.

That, that... Didn't make much sence although the submission does help somewhat. It has the same nostalgic value much like the 3 min ALttP run so it should be published mainly becuase of that.

I have brought this up before and I think there should be some kind of site policy to ensure that all currently published movies should have some kind of seeding even if its only 1/2kbs a second.

Anyway this is the relevent blj I was talking about, I strongly advise that it should be watched frame by frame, so you can see that I pretty much maximized it, sadly I think I would probally need another 4 or 5 to glitch past the door. http://rapidshare.com/files/42380521/Phailed.avi.html Impossible to do without tool assistance, since mario goes along a seam.

It liek at the corner of the basement but next to the slope that slopes down to the water, I was facing sideways and I went in the ledge was just above the rim and started bljing like mad, unfortunatley I've never done it again and I can't record nor upload any screenshots, but the descriptions there so anyone can do what I just did.

I've managed to find a second blj spot in the basement which seemed a lot more promising that the last, I managed to get 10 possibly 11 bljs but sadley it doesn't seem nearly enough and it doesn't even seem to reach the speeds that Mario can get at the 50 star door with the same amount since I tested the 50 star door slope and it only took 10 to be able to get past it... strange :(

Its not really luck you just need to be at a very precise distance and angle on either side of the switch, the best way to do it is to go right agaisnt the wall without covering the switch with Duke's body and madly thrash the action button while while making small left and right turns.

Using TT is also a distinct possibilty as well, it only takes about half an hour to obtain him.

After some hard testing of the blj spot, I was only able to get 6 bljs at max, after that I can't control Mario and he shoots away with hyperspeed which doesn't last very long and isn't enough to be able to travel though objects like doors. If there was some way I could jam Mario so that I could rev up near infinite bljs.

Just want to say that I've found a blj location in the basement although I'm not sure if its the one the guy on gameFAQS was refering to, if it is then the guy can't describe for shit. Although I have to say I'm pessimistic of it turning out to be useful.

Finished episode 2 . overall improvement was about a minute and eighteen seconds. More effective use of steroids is what helped the most.

I see no reason why glitching into the cabin would work. Firstly, if the door doesn't open from outside area then there is no reason why it would open from the inner bit. Secondly, definitley too slow to make it into a 16 star run if it was possible. Thirdly it been proven that the inner area in the cabin is empty space so Mario would just fall and die anyway.

I still think a 70 star glitchless run would be fun to watch, and it will only be more needed if this causes the any% runs to not even collect a star.
A bit arbitary don't you think?

The whole point of preventing lurkers from voting is to ensure that people don't register under multiple user names just so that they can flood a paticular movie with yes votes.

By any chance will a continous speedrun be done like Pushapon's one. Segmented, but where items and health carry over to the next level.

Of course it should obsolete the 16 star run, it uses the same exact glitches that that run uses. If anything, a 1 star run would legitimize a true glitchless 70 star run. Also if the claims are true that there is a BLJ in the basement.... *cough* I told you so *cough*
Must I remind you that its only specualtion and there is no conformation of this.

I think if a 1/0 star run is possible then I'm not sure if it should automatically remove the 16 star catagory. I personally think theres enough to differenciate the 2.
