Ironically, the poll asks "did you enjoy watching this movie", not "did you enjoy watching the whole thing".
Its is clear that in the past that people have voted on runs without watching them in great length or skipping over vast sections of the movie.

Very impressive, I guess Phil only managed to spot those improvements after watching someone elses movie, I certainly would have overlooked them. Voting Yes

My earlier attempts at making an AVI were feeble, one which ran perfect but with desycning sound, I then tried to forcefully encode an AVI with sycronising sound but it ended up causing over 25 seconds worth of unnatrual lag. So Okaygo kindly helped me encode an AVI and then I compressed it slightly keeping it lossless. Anyway here it is

I'm still annoyed about some of the stuff I see in the run, but as requested in IRC I've compiled a small list of things - Everything being turboed through, this will subsequently caused frames to be missed - Dashing still used when sliding seems faster - Dashing is espeacially bad when enemies are around becuause it means pauses are required in order to deal with each individual enemy - In certain rooms a mixture of dashing and sliding is used, my only guess is that switching into sliding was to avoid taking hits from enemies or to get past certain obtacles - At the end is it not possible to land on the podium like the 26 second run did before facing Dracula Why is turboing such a big deal? Its more likely the run was rushed during the making and that trival frames are being thrown away as well as some other things unrelated to it and this can make luck manipulation harder when its really needed. I'm really sorry I'm gonna have to vote "meh" again.

Just want to say I've completed the first episode, thanks to Hoe` I managed to get around the problems caused by the first level. They are many new tricks and strategies that have been used as well as better overall planning, my overall improvement for the first episode is just over a minute and a half. Most of the space levels will be very simalar since they've already been theoretically butchered, Lunar Reactor will probally be the largest improvement.

Looking at my average ratings I'm giving about 5.2 for entertainment and 7.4 for technical, I usually try to maintain an average of 5 for entertainment and 7.5 for technical, I often try to keep it that way by adjusting some of my ratings as time goes on. EDIT: Going by this you can be pretty sure that somewhere in the high sixes, low sevens would be somewhat average overall score.

I had a little test on the second level and ended up roughly about 7 frames quicker although I'm pretty sure it possible to gain 4-5 more, I also sacrificed a little at the end for an entertainment opertunity. If you look closely you can see a strange image of Toadstool. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/415089676/Mario%20Adventure%20v2.fcm

my morals. I don't like dirty jokes. Perhaps majority does, but in this case the majority does not decide. It seems like you are saying that publishing this TAS would interfere with your morals, which you don't want this site to do. If that is the case (and please correct me if it isn't) then why isn't this rejected yet?
A lot of people will be pissed if the run gets rejected over morals.

Its probally already known but heres a zip I found in the second stage although I doesn't seem be very useful, unless you can do something useful first by going backwards. I recorded from the end of Nitsuja's movie. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1465866871/Sonic%20The%20Hedgehog%202%20%28W%29%20%5B%21%5D.gmv

Of course popular games should recieve some form of priority, but it should be noted that if they are over prioritised then all we'll ever see is improvements to these and often in the context of very minor or purley frame shaving runs. Its quite clear that some games have lost there freshness and have become exhausted through these means.

Just wondering is there any quick ways to beat the first level without steroids or an enemy boost since I found a cool glitch in level 2 which saves about 20+ seconds but it only works with steroids, also pulling off this glitch is insanely hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXVLhiSkPL4

I've made an AVI , sadly none of the programs I have including VDUB would allow me to compress it, but it could be made into a publication worthy AVI.

Sorry but you put tasvideos.org at beginning of the video like if the movie was sponsorised by this site.
Since when did TASvideos start sponsoring each movie? In that case I demand a high fee for "sponsoring" my next run, you of all people should know thats purely a disclaimer.

Ok, what's the purpose of sex in a TAS? What's funny about that? Are you so primitive? Imo, this submision should be deleted. Video games are mainly aimed for children and many children comes here. So no.
Most of the people watching the movies on the site are not "children", as others have said I think Bionic Commando is probally a much more offensive game, even although I find the Hitler references quite funny. About run the run, a boring crap game made funny I vote yes. Aside its an improvement anyway.

Its probally too much to ask but is it possible to have the lag counter not to count frames where there is a black screen since often thats part of a transition screen.

When I redid the game in SGB mode I got 4:36, I guess the difference between GB and SGB is pretty large overall, I was farely sure what I did was more optimal than what the previous link showed.

I tried the glitch where you run away during the wild pokemon battle but you just get warped to Pallet town and continually get warped to the square outside your home after you take so many steps.

I would actually prefer a run that covers both minigolf courses, as they would be hole-in-one frenzies.
The trouble with that sort of run is that it give viewers the impression (YouTubers) that the video was simply a string of edits put together. Pesonally if such a run is done then the ball should land directly in the hole on each shot. EDIT: After some considertation I think speed golf via using a character obtained through cheats would probally be the best option.

the C^ glitch on that slope carries you about 6 feet. It may be possible somehow to use it to glitch through the nearest wall or pillar, but you'd need to start the glitch already moving at long-jump speed to have any chance. (C^ CAN get fast enough to glitch through walls, but I've never done that anywhere useful.) You can use Z&B to stick your feet through the corner of the door (or any of the pillars, but that doesn't help at all because they aren't part of Mario. (you can't pick up coins by Z&B kicking them)
I've used the superspeed cheat which is effectively like using the C^ glitch and it doesn't allow mario to get into the pillars or go through that 30 star door.

I'd prefer if the run was done on the Green version, just so we can avoid people thinking that it works on the more familar updates of the game.
