This is probally the best strategy for getting to the basement, I get the feeling that sideways swimming is that fastest way to move through the water. Also when you fall through the web use a deku stick to richochet off the vines that way a power crouched is preserved for Ghoma.

I quite liked the other movie, it a good game to TAS as it has the "what if real life had savestates". The chances are that you'd probally get banned before you even reached 10 million. I don't have the rom but I'll be sure to download the AVI when its published.
See also: SM64 120 vs. 16 star. The 120 run showcases much more interesting tricks and routes than the faster 16 star run, while providing much more entertainment as well from the wait times.
Please keep in mind that, while optimization is important, newbies aren't going to look at it and say "Oh, he missed a frame here."
Optimization does not equate to entertainment, and as the numbers indicate, the 96-exit run is far superior.
The SM64 argument doesn't apply in the same way the the SMW argument applies, becuase of the nature of a 16 star there is almost no idle time since you're going directly for the quickest stars, the only way to really be different is by the use of camera angles, but that has its critics, as many people dislike certain ones on the grounds of; too spastic, close, far away, hard to see whats happening, simalar. The concepts seen in the 96 exit appear in the 11 exit as well unlike SM64.
One of the starred runs I definitley agree with is SMB2, becuase its been improved many times and even without watching some of the earlier submissions I can see where the improvements will have come from over the years.
Having watched the run I'm voting "meh" for several reasons. Firstly this whole symentrical and inverse movements were used to the point of annoyance, I honestly think large portions of the run were done by using the team key function. The boss battles themselves weren't interesting and bosses have overly long invunerabilty periods, with exception to one boss battle all of them would take the same amount of time for 1p to do it. There was also nothing noteworthy that ever happening during the run that would make at least something rememberable about it. The reason for not voting no is becuase I the game is colourful and the levels look varied.
I'm actually amazed that the SMW 96-star run isn't starred.
(Not to mention, it's also the highest-rated run on the site...)
Honestly, there is too many vast portions of the game which are boring to watch that I had to watch that it in two parts, so I'd much rather watch the 11 exit run instead. Staring two runs of the same game should really be avoided and left to exceptional circumstances, which no game on the site as of yet falls into.
I thought this game was impossible to complete without pressing Y or X and I was indeed proved right. Looking at the input counter Y is being pressed or held nearly all the time. I would have prefered if it was only pressed for the absolute minimal number of frames, which would be refering to pick up keys and beating Bowser. The submission doesn't do what it stated so I'll vote no.
I would be happy with seeing lookdown being used, although is it really worth skipping the GR, as I'm sure strafe boosting would make up for the time as well as unlocking the vent before you climb the ladder.
From watching the AVI, the game choice itself isn't a good because of the obsurity of it, although the actual game is OK as it does have some minor shortcuts and it does seem relatively difficult, but personally for me I saw too many unoptimized parts and I get the feeling that hopping is faster that running, so I added a meh vote.
My name appeared 1780 times, although there mostly in reference to the acronym, anyway welcome to AKA. In terms of user names there is probally plenty although I don't know how many.
A few possible improvements.
1. I think in the first level it would be of benifit to change the ball into a bowling ball it'll save you having do to a hand slam on the switch which looks really slow. I fairly certain of you roll over the switch with the bowling ball then you should just have enought time to flip the bowling ball onto the platform above.
2. When you flip the ball onto the platform where the river is I think you should test to see if you can get the ball right over without making glover fall of course.
3. For the boss, shouldn't it be possible to flip the ball high up against the last part of the boss and save all that waiting.
Now, I think about it getting the bow as a child takes far too long, so we would be better off getting the bow as an adult. In terms of entering the Shadow temple as a child you'll need to climb on the fence near Dampe's roof and jump onto from there and you can indeed side hop over the loading point for Din's fire as a child.
Route
Kokiri
Gerudo (get bombchus and save/quit)
Dondongo's (get bomb bag, beat KD)
Enter Kakariko (get bottle)
Enter Graveyard (hover from Dampe's roof and enter Shadow Temple
Shadow Temple (get hover boots and use death warp to entrance)
Hyrule Castle (Meet Zelda)
Zora's river
Zora's Domain (Skip King Zora using hover(by TP reference that name is proven to be correct))
Jabu
Save/Quit
Kokiri
Lake Hylia (steal rod)
Hyrule (bottle adventure)
Temple of Time (become adult with light arrows on B)
Hyrule
Kakariko
Graveyard (get hookshot, don't use smashwarp)
Kakariko
Death Mountain
Great Fairy (get magic)
Goron City
Lost Woods
Sacred Meadow
Forest Temple (get bow)
Save/Quit
Temple of Time
Ganon Early
Win the game
EDIT: Important note about having light arrows on B: Since you have no sword you cannot use the bomb hovering technique.
Its also not possible to enter Shadow Temple as an Adult by any means since the traditional technique is to use a jumpslash before the bomb explodes.
Thanks to Swordless link we can now steal the rod as a child.

How does this affect possible route changes?
Well basically what you can do now is to enter the Shadow and Forest Temple as a Child and get the bow+hoverboots, then steal the rod and effectivley win the game as soon as you become an Adult, it saves time because you don't have to Complete the Forest Temple and sit through the very long cutscene as well as that you can avoid the prelude speeach. If Guano is still doing the run it would be best to coninue as disscussed before and then perhaps this can be worked into an improvement run.
I kind of agree with what Mechuyael said, so I don't wish to have a screenshot where Chuck is taking damage and thus producing the wacko eyeball animation, I thought this would be a better idea.

Any progress lately, are you still on the lullabye skip, which as I've stated before as probally the hardest trick in the game to optimize and do. or are you redoing it from the Mikau speech, although it wouldn't hurt to try a hex edit once you enter the Fortress since the pirates are always setup in the same way, although you may encounter a desync on the way up to Snowhead.
