When hex editing is it the input frames that are shown or the actual framerate, becuase so far I understand that one line equals four frames, and if you press page down it'll go down 68 lines and therefore to 272, but my one slight problem is that I don't know how to recognise the button presses since I'd like to do a minor hex edit in SM64 for one of the stars which is very hard to replicate becuase its not easy to replicate angles in the input counter. BTW, I use Cygnus Hex editor, and as far as I aware there is no locate a certain frame feature.
Mukki where are you at the moment, I was actually thinking about helping you with a few odd bits later in the game, at least to serve as a demonstration or something to compete against.
I think this concept is too hard to do in a way that could satisfy anyone. I tried to use the most positive strategies for each character, the trouble is I'd find a way for one character to hit, but there was always another way for the other character to counter product what the other character was trying to do, making it seem like a pointless thing to do when otherwise it would have hit someone who isn't use frame precision. I can't make each character play perfectly becuase otherwise they'd constantly evade each each and cast fireballs from a distance in hope that the other character will jump toward them in order to do a dragon punch, so I would make one character do a move which would normally be successful in normal play and the other character who has fore knowledge of what the other character is trying to do will counteract. One last thing no attack missed or was pointless to do.
I hate Nintendo although this would save time in a 120 star run, but for a few frames I thought I found something really worthwhile but as you could probally guess the precision required is unreal.
I personally don't know if anyone could appreaciate it, personally Ken and Ryu are so good that they cancel out each other to make it seem like a very ordinary fight, but beleve me when you see it, it is a very uber tournament fight. If anyone has some other concepts I could do for the next round please say so becuase I've only got a very rough plan as to what the eventual outcome should be.

EDIT:I've just been told that there is a 10 star turbo mode, but it requires inputed code, would it be allowed?
I think its best to give it a moon and link it to the 16 star one, because it is a long run and there is a couple of dull sections in it namely JRB and DDD. In the process I think the description text for the 16 star also needs to be changed as well as its still a copy, paste at the moment.
Mukki I can do the comparisons once I see your WIP, there is not much you can when waiting I suggest just messing about and delay getting on the platform with the heart piece and then spining round the heart piece without collecting it.
Is there a Auto-hold and remove Auto-hold feature, becuase it doesn't seem to be available, I'm using the emulator that Comicalflop used for his DK2 102% run, which was a modified version with a soft reset.
Lets keep it very simple a 70 star run would be legit becuase it opens the final 70 star door leading to Bowser 3 meaning that R_z can use any method he wants to get any star.
That makes sence all though my TAS notes e.g comparisons are literally filled with number in all forms of directions, if I was using this method then I could defintley get used to it although there is a lot of extremley complex input in parts of the game, using that method would require a lot of extra paper and careful noting down.
BTW when you finish the first cycle and head for Snow Mountain. You can activate the sword glitch with a navi text, which is faster and more resourceful than a bomb.
EDIT: You've probally already seen it but here's my AVI of the post Scarecrow section http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=267&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=200
I wonder if its possible to skip the text before the magic, Mukki when scrolling through text are you holding B where apropiate e.g. Grandma text.
I disagree with that statement I personally beleve that most of the time I was frame precise, but thats not the main problem, the main problem is knowing whats the best strategy to use as there is literally hundreds if not thousands of ways to achive the same goal, I mostly go by my own imagination rather that brute forcing every possible move in as opposed to a 2D game, which is why they have higher re-record rate per frame since as I just mentioned they try to optimize every frame as opposed to optimizing every movement, I know they sound simalar but there quite different in concept. It could and will most likely take another 4-6 movies till we get something which is most likely perfect. (refering to 16 star run)
The reason why I choose to watch this in the first place was to see the rain combo be used in actual gameplay, but I was disapointed that I didn't get to see it. Overall, some nice combo's, but then again some overused ones like the rising meteor shower that Tsung has. I'm sorry its a meh vote from me.
Out of interest I compared the The two Bowser 3 battles and FODA is 16 frames slower input wise. I wonder if he'll redo that part note: this is refering to input frames so if you want to know the timing difference the n double and divide by 60.
I've watched the entire thing in full and can verify that the game finishes at the end. Its a pretty clear yes vote and shows some nice strategies in Bowser 3 which I didn't think of at the time. I was personally looking forward to TTM, but for me TTC stole it with all the ingenious wall kicks, although I'm not sure if the BLJ into Bowser 3 was that optimal becuase Mario appears to get trapped outside the grey wall for a while and then go through it and falls in.
I've closely watched Rikki's Movie up till when he collects the red coins which was my last partial movie file and he has 5.37 seconds faster, which means I made a 5.15 second swing which to me at leastm means that sub 15:30 is a certainty for the next video. I'm quite apreacuative that he uploaded his movie though.
