I'll have to (sadly) announce that I can't do this project anymore. School is really stressing me right now. Feel free to continue if you wish.

I actually know someone in my school who's really in into emulators. He mentioned something about emulating stuff on his dreamcast.

I didn't even know there was a third one. I used to own the second one though, so I can't say I remember if it'll make a good TAS.
If goldeneye got published, I don't see why this wouldn't.

Haven't heard of this? Go watch videos of it NOW. This game is made by the makers of Goldeneye 64, and it shows. Awesome story, controls, gameplay, replayability and most likely a TAS that I would like to make.

However, AVGN gave a review that trashed the game, so I am not so sure if I want to do a test attempt.
AVGN isn't forcing you to not play this game.

If the cheat was intentionally made, you shouldn't use it. Of course, if it's a glitch that wasn't intentional, go ahead. If you're unsure, don't do it.

Okay, I've got everything good and ready. Emulator works fine, controls are set, everything is in place. But there's one more problem I'm having. I want to upload the test freerun I made onto YouTube. So I used the AVI converter, set it to Microsoft Video 1, and let it record. When I clicked on the actual video, the sound worked, but there was no video. It was a blank screen. Help, please?
You don't have the correct codecs. What you should really do is either use fraps/other recording software or choose to record your run in its original quality (no compression whatsoever).

I'm working on stage 2 right now. It really needs more optimization. Right now this is the path that I'm taking (Stage 1 is unchanged, andymac did a good job on helping me).

Even with a simple goal, you would need more than just a "no coins" run to impress us. I do admit, it's a great effort you made. Meh is my vote.

Short enough to be entertaining until the final blow. Yes for me.
