When PSP TASing becomes available, I think this would be a good game to see done. It'd be interesting to view either a run that that blazes through the game as fast as possible or a run that finds all the LocoRoco, MuiMui and Pickories. I'm certain they'd be substantially different from each other.

Did this just break the record for fastest publication? I wonder how different a completely glitchless run would be?

So? The Homing Attack's in Sonic Advance 2 and that's a great game. Or have you forgotten the handheld Sonic games like everyone else has?

Hariyama just doesn't get any speedy Fighting moves, unfortunately. In a TAS, trading for it will waste a heap of frames, getting Brick Break will waste a heap of frames, using Arm Thrust EVER will waste a heap of frames... it's just not built for it.
It won't be known unless it is tried. One of the many points of TAS making is experimentation.

The Adventure Tour in the DS version would probably make an impressive tool-assisted playthrough. On the field, you'd periodically switch between playing as Mario and Sonic so as to use their different abilities, such as using pipes and springs, to progress. Basically, you have to get crystals from the various missions sprinkled throughout the area in order to destroy the ice walls in your way. At first, only Mario and Sonic are with you but certain missions will get you more buddies. I'm fairly certain that to access the final bosses, you have to collect all of your friends. Thus, the trick is to figure out which missions to do to collect the crystals and which characters will get the missions completed the fastest, if not the best. Also you have to collect items from chests to be able to participate in all of the missions. There are actually two credit sequences in the Adventure Tour. One when you defeat Bowser and Eggman the first time and the other when you defeat them again after completing Bowser Junior and Metal Sonic's new challenges. The new challenges are fairly different and a bit more difficult (Speaking of difficulty, there is a difficulty setting but I don't know if it applies to the Adventure Tour as well as the normal single player mode) than the previous ones so it might be worth it to go for it and get the second credits.

What's this? Five different Castlevania runs on the Workbench at the same time? Hurry up and either publish them or feed them to the Grue!

I think we're gonna need a glitchless run too.

I still don't see why Rebirth mode wasn't used. Besides, I was fairly certain that you're supposed to use the first version, no matter what the game, (in this case, PlayStation) but judging by everyone's responses, I guess not.

Anyone for a glitchless run? Or at least a run without the vertical/horizontal underflows? (don't look at me)

Why not Rebirth Mode? It has more enemies, thus being more difficult, and puzzles that take advantage of the DS's attributes (it would also make this run more different from a PlayStation Resident Evil run).

Since my question relates to this game, I'll ask it here: Assumming a TASer mainipulates the appearance of an Amazy Dazy(To level up), I wonder would this be faster than to run thru the game at a low level?
Maybe manipulate a few on the way to the mansion and back, I don't know... Have you watched the SDA run (I only did partially)? The player only boosts attack points after each level-up, so he can defeat bosses with a repeated jump which does 10, 9, 8 , 7, ... damage. (Haven't played the game in years)
You don't boost Attack Points after leveling up, you boost either Heart Points, Flower Points or Badge Points.

I guess I'm not that interested in getting all of the emeralds in a TAS, but I do think Blaze's playing style is different enough to be worth TASing somehow.
Note that, as Blaze, you get a Sol Emerald every time you beat a boss.

This is a request for this strange RPG. You do level up but you actually have to attach level-up panels to get the bonus stats. Would it be faster to ignore the level-up panels completely, attach every one you get or some sort of in-between? There are also weapon panels, spell panels and ability panels. Which ones would be practically essential? I'd say the Glide and Haste panels. And would the time needed to synthesize some of them be worth it? In some missions, you have to defeat a certain number of enemies or collect a certain number of items. You usually don't have to do 100% though. Figuring out a route for doing so each time would be tricky...

I'm not sure if this will actually help since this will obviously be played on an emulator but if you're going with death abuse: Extra life at start. Choose to play as Mighty or Ray and hold jump till the game starts to earn a extra life at the start. Oh and maybe a version could be published that has English subtitles?

100% please! You may not get anything after the game is through but having lots of items, including the six flight-lengthening and life-meter-enlargening Chaos Emeralds shall come in handy.

All that the crystals do are give you 1000 points each at the end-of-level tally...although, maybe the tally can be skipped somehow.
