And though this is a little insane idea, if someone can put together a version of the emulator with Game Link support, we might be able to like, run Yellow in one window and Crystal in another, dual-TAS style.
Further, make it so that there's only one input (that's run in both games) and finish both games (preferably on the same frame) with that same input. Thus we end up with a dual TAS where the games actually interact with each other at points.
That actually sounds like a terrific idea.
Would it really be possible to end the games on the same frame? Pokémon Crystal has twice the amount of badges Pokémon Yellow has.

I would have thought going for HP Water/Grass would be a better choice, given the 4x effectiveness on 2 of Roark's mons and still doing the same damage to Cranidos, and gives him extra coverage. HP Grass would net you a guaranteed OHKO on that Piplup too.
If he had chosen Turtwig, the Rival would have gotten Chimchar instead of Piplup; the rival always gets the advantageous type.

Ive been thinking about doing a run of this, but Im not sure how to go throug it since you would have to play the game twice. Any suggestions?
How about unlocking all characters in your Omega Factor? Maybe try and unlock one half in the 'Birth' playthrough and the other half in the 'Rebirth' playthrough.

How much of this game would be done? All stories completed? That would require all the Chaos Emeralds. Or would the stages for different teams be too similar to each other?

Maybe, just for a lark, someone should do a TAS of 3D Green Hill Zone (using codes to unlock it). Not as a submission but to see how well it could be done.

It doesn't need to really, it has a better chance of doing well on the DS with the install base of over 120 Million than the 3DS with 400,000 (as of Japan Launch week).

For, in addition to the version-exclusive Pokémon, there are also version-exclusive areas; Black City in Black and White Forest in White. Also, Opelucid City looks different in each version but I'm not sure whether there's more to it than just aesthetics.
Which Starter?
The choice determines which first Gym Leader you'll face: Grass-type user Cilan if you choose Oshawott, Fire-type user Chili if you choose Snivy and Water-type user Cress if you choose Tepig.
Which time?
Now there are seasons as well as day and night that affect what Pokémon appear. In spring, it rains in some areas and in winter, snowdrifts allow you to access places there are usually out of reach. Not to mention, day and night lasts differently for different periods of time depending on the season.
Which HM Slave?
