Exactly my thoughts. Why change something if it's the current term? You can't please everyone, nor make it easy for everyone. Sometimes, You have to learn the jargon. Why change something if everyone in the community use the term currently? Changing it will only introduce much more confusion, inside and outside the community. I think the discussion has went too far.

I think an option to filter the movies pages by the movie length would be great. It could filter the movies to match a certain length range.

I meant like instead of having to click on that square of the right button, maybe allow some keyboard control? Would allow someone to use keyboard instead of having to click on the right square everytime.

I think you want to be able to edit old frames with the keyboard, like how you can with the live recording (See issue 586 for something similar). Honestly, I don't see any problem with live recording at the end of the movie. But yeah I agree it would be neat to be able to use keyboard to edit some frames there and there. Something like if I press A, the current frame's A button state (pressed and not pressed) is changed?

Loved it. I suggest 8:52 or 10:04 for the screenshot. :)

Hubert, Did you try with the special build of feos? He made a build specifically for TAStudio. He fixed a lot of stuff since last release. So if you're running last release, it might be already fixed. I'd suggest you try the build of feos.(look on the previous page of the thread)

I will test it surely next week if that's okay. I have a question. If I use that for TASing, then move on the next release once it's out, will the movie will sync?

Sooo bad is actually fun to watch. The physics were absurd and that's what made me watch it.

Hey, this is only relevant for a 100% run, but what enemies outside (mini)bosses have their tattles appear in the trash if you fought them without tattling? I was thinking maybe those Yux and some variants, but not sure about anything else. Also with all these discoveries, any of those help in a 100%?
Wow I didn't know you could find tattle somewhere else than fighting an enemy. I restarted a whole game only for getting tattles I didn't get.

Not sure it's that precisely, since I just tried to repro by: -Opening TAStudio -Do a random movie -Save as -Close -Frame advance. Maybe you did something before that that messed up? Or that's the saving messed up?

Hotkeys sometimes stop working. So it's not only those. Sometimes I press my frame advance hotkey and it doesn't work.

I'd argue that it's arbitrary. But that's a case of having a perfect score. :/

I'm not a judge, but I'll try. Might have some errors. Ask yourself a question: Does the sport game(or movie) have a goal other than ending a timer or having a perfect score? If not, it can't be published to vault. If yes,ask yourself a second question: Is the goal an arbitrary one? If not, it could be published. Sport games, generally, doesn't have the flexibility of other games since they are linked to a timer: the game end when the timer ends. As such, they can't be vaulted. One could argue that to be the fatest possible require skills since you need to minimizing cutscenes(scorings, etc.), but it's deemed as unvaultable. This include Basket-ball, European Football and all other games relied to timers. To workaround that, these sports game will require a huge entertainment factor such as playarounds(R.B.I. for example), glitch demonstration, etc.(Example: [1438] SNES International Superstar Soccer Deluxe "playaround" by Marcokarty in 15:24.38 Some has it like golf, mini putt and even billiard... Surely others such as Tennis. You need to put the ball from A to B in the fastest way possible and is not dependent on a timer. As such, these could be vaulted.[1565] NES Lunar Pool by Bisqwit in 23:47.52 Good luck redoing those shots without tools.(One could argue that it's like having a perfect score, but you can alter a lot of stuff so you get the fastest outcome, so it's more than having a perfect score) However, some sports game include a kind of "story mode" such as Punch out or dodgeball which there is opponents to face in a order. You can beat those in a timely fashion.(Unless it's a set of game with all a fixed timer like 5 games of basketball, I doubt it would be publishable). Example: [742] NES Super Dodge Ball by Dasrik in 05:47.16 I see Bowling TASes as a matter of perfecting timing in order to have a perfect score, like a puzzle. One just need to find the right angle and power. I think it was deemed "too simple". Think of it like run right for justice games where all you could do is hold "A"... Or board games.

So, I need to display the past values of an address to ease some work. But I don't know how. I'd like to display something like that: -4 frame: Past Value from that frame -3 frame :Past value from that frame -2 frame :Past value from that frame -1 frame :past value from that frame Current frame: current value Is it too demanding? I've looked for a function in mainmemory that fetch that value, but except reading that, I did not find any function that seemed to do what I'd like to do. I thought about something that gets written somewhere in the lua script, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or a valid idea. I've never did anything like that before.

I'm not bothered by the extra features. I'm bothered by the high price (which, I'm certain, is in part caused by the enormous amount of development time put into those augmented reality features and needed peripherals.)
If they don't put the high price, they'll lose money, who want to lose money? They need to pay the employees who contributed to it. Think of it like creating a new drug. It takes years of research and billions of dollars. In the end we get a new drug far more expensive. And once the copyrights are done, new cheaper analogs are made. These new ones avoid all that long and expensive debut of development. Maybe it will stay expensiv esimply because of the materials it uses(Maybe it has sa lot of gold inside, which makes it expensive? Prices is not an easy factor to balance. If it's expensive, it must have a reason.

I like it. :) Good job. :) Don't mind about the language, the differences between languages doesn't matter anymore.
