Odd, I couldn't do it on the Emulator. So I went to Hyrule Castle to climb the easiest seam (in my opinion) and I couldn't climb that one either... Did this on Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0) [!] -- and will plug in my N64 later to see if there's a difference or something. Check later for an update.

Oops, sorry about the late reply. I'll look into this now, perhaps I mixed up the Gerudo trick with adult Link or something. Anyway... Off to some fooling around :P

I just have to say that (not to stress or rush by any means) the RBO of Super Metroid will probably be my favorite movie here so far.

Hm, I just started and spent about 3000 rerecords finishing the 1st and 2nd levels. Before reading the stuff in this topic. Dumb, but I was just bored :P Anyway, I'd love to continue but I don't know much about this game and I'd be too afraid not to play as well as Dan on every frame.

God damnit, if you guys can't figure out the Gerudo thing -- I'm going to ask for a save state and I'll show how.

Hey, guess what? It was the ROM. But I found that pack w/ like a billion OoT roms (thanks Angerfist) and then I picked a good 1.0 rom that gets me past ghoma. I'm currently researching the cuckoo in Gerudo valley thing. (I hope it is possible)
The Cuckoo seam walking thing? Maybe this is a good shortcut btw... (not my screenshot, just click on it)

I agree with nitsuja. First I was wondering if this was some Castlevania: Curse Of The Bunny Spirit hack with all the jumping ;) I enjoyed it a lot though. I've only played a few parts of this game and didn't enjoy it too much, but this movie was still very enjoyable in my eyes.

Oh :) Thanks. It's a shame since it's one of my favorite tricks of all time.

Wow, I didn't see that Ganon Castle trick until now -- really clever/great. What other glitches will be used? I remember odd ones happening when you fooled around with Epona and the Gerudo Valley tent -- not sure if they were useful. And then there's the "seam walking" trick where you can get to places where you're not supposed to i.e. flying into the Gerudo Valley as a kid using a Chicken if I remember correctly? (probably not useful though) And there are some other places where one could skip some long walking or something perhaps. Sorry it's been so long since I played around with this, and I'm not sure where to read the info about the current run here ^_^ is there a WIP released?

Zool http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=Zool+snes&btnG=Search I had kind of forgotten about this cool game, at least I remember it as fun when I played it 10+ years ago (?).

If someone will improve the Any% run, they'll use the "Arm Pumping" to get out of the bomb room without fighting the Torizo right? This is the only thing really bothering me at the moment. Or was this only possible in the European version, and the total overall speed would slow the run down or something? I can't remember. Unfortunately I don't have the patience to start yet another Super Metroid run nowadays (Frenom and I used to do a bunch of them a little over a year ago...)

It's not possible in either version: Messing with the European version only got Samus stuck further and further into the door, and so it was deemed nigh-impossible in the US version.

No no it's possible in the European version!!!! Trust me it is!!
Yes, it's possible. It didn't clear up my question if someone would use it, and if not then why not?

As a Goldeneye player (www.the-elite.net) for many years, I'd be interested in runs like Sub 1:03 Caverns Agent and such. I checked out several roms but all of them got odd graphics/glitches slowing the audio (mostly) down and of course the gameplay. Really annoying, I was playing with a keyboard which is a pain but with slowdown I managed a (extremely crappy on console) 25 on Runway Agent haha. I also don't like how there's no gameshark ability in this emulator, now I have to go through all levels just to get to Caverns on i.e. Agent. -_- Anyway, someone revive this or something as it can turn out really awesome :) do you guys also have odd graphics on your rom etc.? I've tried different settings of course.

I made a vid to those of you who wanted to see the PAL Bomb Room escape, just grab it from one of the links below (it's the same file on all three links, and only around 350kb) http://rapidshare.de/files/1878719/Super_Metroid_-_Escape_Bomb_Room.WMV.html http://s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0X956CTYZSVKM1IY2NUU5OTOU0 http://217.215.87.40/Super_Metroid_-_Escape_Bomb_Room.wmv Keep up the excellent work Michael.
