I agree with Derakon, to an extent. OOT doesn't need a star. If someone likes Zelda, he'll watch the run, and he will find it extemely entertaining without being asked to do so. But if someone doesn't like Zelda, that run will be boring no matter what you do, I am sorry. It's not one of those movies you would exactly recommend to a newcomer. It is a movie for a niche, even though said niche seems to be quite large for no apparent reason. But it's not a movie which should be used to showcase what a TAS is meant to be. The 0-stars run of SM64 on the other hand is a very good example. Even if someone never played the game he will find weird that Mario can get through closed doors, it will be obvious to the random guy that there is something wrong going on, even if they don't know you're supposed to collect 70 stars to beat the game. I agree with Tetris, because of its "wtf" factor. And even if I'm extremely late to the party, I agree with the star given to that ISS movie by marcokarty I linked that video to someone who doesn't know what a TAS is, and he couldn't stop laughing. Now he know what a TAS is. But if I link OOT to someone who doesn't know what a TAS is? He will close the video after 5 minutes at most. Just my 2¢

Sonikkustar, this playlist link can't work for anyone else but you, because you linked to the "my_playlists" page. The link you want to share is this: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=8BD6BF1CA004B63B I will watch the TAS soon, but I am pretty sure I will vote yes. Sparkster is a good game.

Congratulations on the new bbcodes! I remember, I once administrated a forum a few years ago, and it wasn't easy to add new bbcodes, with all the Regular Expressions, the templates, and so on.

I am sorry but I have to agree with FunStyle here. This is a good TAS and I'd love to see it published. It is sad to see yet another example of how tasvideos can build a wall in front of a talented newcomer. FunStyle you are good, I am glad that you have a Youtube channel, I can't wait to see more of what you can do! Yes vote.

I see now. I will re-encode it with crf=18 and re-upload it on archive.org at the same location. edit: done. And the file is much smaller now. Thanks, Flygon :) See here: http://www.archive.org/details/xenawarriorprincess-tas-AKheon&reCache=1

This was quick and entertaining. YES vote, and claiming for official encoding (I'll use the Flygon settings). In the mean time, here is Youtube Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkqnPsuLTw8 edit: here is the archive version: http://www.archive.org/details/xenawarriorprincess-tas-AKheon I used the Flygon settings as described here, but the video track is very huge. Maybe crf=0 isn't a good idea after all?

ok, I can try archive.org, but I'm stuck after creating an account. It looks like I'll have to enter filenames into the web interface before I can upload anything, which would collide with an overnight-batch-upload. I'm reluctant to just try it out since, well, mistakes will be permanent. ;) Can someone please get back to me on irc (Tub) when you're awake?
Tub, you can upload files on archive.org via FTP if you want: http://archive.org/create.php?ftp=1 It is better if you can upload each individual file in a separate container, but if you want to do it in a batch way, just specify a generic name for the container (e.g. tasvideos1234) and upload them all in the same folder. Zerx0 did the same thing back in the day.

All the movies with a (none found) are Famtasia moves, except one, which is a SNES movie without an encode: http://tasvideos.org/1074M.html. Since this one needs a new encode to begin with, can I claim it, encode it, and put it on archive.org?

Might be a silly request but can you add an option on that page to sort the movies by the filename? In this way it would be faster for people to compare that list to the one on their hard drives since it is likely to be sorted by filename. Unfortunately I usually deleted old movies when I downloaded the new ones but I will look into this. edit I checked them all anyway, and I could find only one contraiii-glitched-tas-darkcloud.avi Which, unfortunately, is found by Derakon as well. I am sorry I can't be of further help.

I have a complaint. This encode uses the "PSG High Quality" option, which is very bad. I suggest adding it to the emulator settings page to avoid problems in future. EDIT BELOW Puto, I just saw your post. I can encode this movie but it's longer than 15 minutes. I will send it to you so you can use your magic youtube account and upload it.

I love when new glitches are found! This is a very easy yes vote, and I can't wait for Baxter's reaction, I am sure a framewar will begin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9xNifuFwV8 Suggested screenshot: (2413 bytes)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf05vkcaVJY I have to vote meh on this. YES on the technical side, it's very well done, I am impressed. It's not easy to make a pacifist run of this game. NO on the entertainment side. It's too slow paced.

This is a very easy YES vote from me. It's an improvement to one of my favourite movies of all times. I won't encode this since it was claimed; however here is your frame 16783: (4613 bytes). Not the funniest screenshot, in my opinion, but you are the author ;)

have you tried taking my route from the my sonic run and zipping the whole way, ending under the flag pole? of course you'd have to be able to fly long enough to not die while the points were adding up.
If you talk about Green Hill Zone 2, it is not possible, because Puto fixed the solidity of that wall, since it's just too easy for Tails to use that trick. Also, necessary yes vote for improvement.

Yes vote, for publication as a separate category. The TAS is amazing, it would be wrong to reject this. And it would be wrong to obsolete the other TAS, they're not comparable. They both deserve to exist.
