I agree with Zeupar's screenshot suggestion so I used PNGOUT on it:

I feel I should rephrase my post because I might have been too rude for no reason the first time. Deciding if a goal choice is good or not, and if said goal has been properly achieved, is not something I should do, nor should any other occasional viewer. The goal choice should be evaluated by the judges/admins and only them, and the execution/achievemnt too, possibly with some expert feedback such as Marzojr's post, which is indeed insightful. I don't doubt that Aglar picked a definite goal and achieved it throughout the movie, and I'm sure the judges will take the best possible decision about this. However, as a simple viewer, I don't "like" how SLZ3, SBZ2, and SBZ3 break the flow of the movie, and therefore I confirm my no vote. I would be much more pleased with a movie in which you don't glitch through the loop in SLZ3, you don't glitch through the belt in SBZ2, you don't glitch through everything in SBZ3, but hey, this is me, and this is called an opinion )

My eyes weren't ready for this o.O When they started the first blj I was like "wait, no, they CAN'T do that there :O", and while the second blj happens in a less surprising location, its effects were unexpected too. Yes vote.

I am a true Sonic fan, and as such, I really enjoyed this movie. Nice and different, it actually shows most of the levels in a fashion playable even by hand for the most part (some tricks are still very hard to perform in real time though). The beginning of SYZ3 is epic. However I have to vote no for the arbitrarity of the execution in SYZ3 you glitch through a loop, in SBZ2 you glitch through the moving thing, not to mention the SBZ3 altogether. I think you should redo those 3 things, since it seems there has been lot of criticism. But I love this low-glitch category. I can\'t believe the day I vote no on a Sonic game would arrive.

I'm no expert, but from what I remember from the previous pages, nothing happens, Mario just stays in the swimming animation and he doesn't open the door. There have been attempts to get at the door at very high speed (both horizontal and vertical) to skip the swimming animation altogether, but they all failed as far as I know. You should wait for some more autoritative answer from experts.

Indeed, the old one was very good, this one is even better. I wonder, though, if you can skip some yellow coins (you seem to collect many of them), as they take up some time in the score tally at the end of the levels. Not a big deal, but might require a "Aims for in-game time instead of real-time" tag (like Sonic games). Unless it takes up more time to dodge them rather than count them in the score in which case this objection is invalid. Very strong yes vote.

The server has its problems sometimes, yes, but given that we're all here for free, I don't think we should complain, but rather be thankful for what we get :) On the other hand, sometimes they DO delete my posts by hand, but that's an entirely unrelated story.

Not disappeared, moved: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12060 It makes sense, too, since the bot isn't M64-specific but N64-general.

I assume I shouldn't even bother trying doing this on my German (PAL) Nintendo 64, right? Even if I use a SCART connector I guess it still runs at 50Hz.

Question! The publication of this movie, links to the X+X2 run, saying "If you like this movie, you may like to check out the movie in which two games are played simultaneously with one controller", but since the X+X2 run was obsoleted by the X+X2+X3 run, shouldn't that line be updated? Just an idea.

Honestly, I found this pretty boring to watch. It's basically guaranteed acceptance since it's an improvement, but since I didn't care for it, I won't vote.
The same applies to me. I got asleep while watching this movie, but I won't vote meh or no on a movie which is going to be accepted nonetheless as an improvement, it's a clear case of bad game choice but it's too late now to rectify this, so I'm not voting on this one.

I think you should keep this here and let people vote on it. I'm not a judge but it seems that the reception for this movie is good so I hope it will be published. When you'll submit the new version, people will vote on that too. If it's good, then a judge or an admin will decide if there can be two branches alongside (this one + the pacifist) or, if the other run is more entertaining, it can obsolete this one. Just my opinion.

I'll be honest, I liked this TAS and its variety. It's a platformer, a sport game, it has a little bit of everything, and the execution seems to be well done, even though it doesn't seem that hard indeed, but I never played the game so I can't tell. I believe this would be a great addition to the site, so I give it a strong yes vote. On a non-TAS point of view, the music is indeed awesome, while the ending is kinda weak. Neither of those points influenced my yes vote, of course, which is based only on the way he played.

I like this TAS, well planned and well executed. It lacks a bit on the entertainment side for a while, but it's definitely good enough to deserve a yes vote thanks to the other tricks used and the perfect gameplay. Also this game is inaccurate, as Lupin never kills, as far as I remember he never shot a gun towards a human being.

meh vote, it's not that interesting, and even if it's so short, it gets old quite fast. But I've seen worse, so I couldn't care less if this is published or not.

Although I preferred the skipped version, this one is good too. So I confirm my yes vote.

The rule for a glitchless run could be, that you have to finish each level legitimately by touching the regular (inbounds) exit.
However this would allow for the bell glitch and the bubble glitch, which should be avoided instead.

Sweet, a Youtube link =) Yes vote, I loved plain Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, and this version is on par with that. New glitches, new worlds, good old Mario action =)

Thanks for the encode, feos! Awesome run, with many glitches as well. Obvious yes vote. And possibly a recommendation for a moon or star?

We have sorting and scrollbars. There's no problem with having unlimited categories. It's not like a publication causes problems just by existing.
I have to agree with Jungon and Lex, to be honest I never understood why there can't be many branches of a game if the runs are good enough (the excellent rejected Super Metroid runs come to mind, as well as the bizzarre Super Mario Land 2 obsoletion). Obsoleting the warped walkathon run would make me sad, not publishing this one at all would be blasphemy. This should be published in its own great spotlight alongside other great runs. In my opinion.

Is the goal to never run, or is the goal to never push B?
Tricky! I see Mars608 already replied (I lost time watching the encode, man this sure is long), but I seem to remember that Mario actually runs by his own in some of the cutscenes when he approaches Toad at the end of *-4 worlds. And indeed, I noticed you never picked up fire flowers, so it seems that "no B button" branch would be appropriate.

Mister Epic, I didn't imply your encode is wrong, and if you had this impression, I sincerely apologise, I know you are one of the most valuable encoders around here and I never had problems with your encodes in the past, so there's no way I'd ever throw a personal attack at you or at your encodes. There is probably something wrong with my configuration, I'm not on my main computer right now, so it is more than possible that something isn't set up properly, my Media Player Classic version itself seems to be 6.4.9.0, an entirely different value compared to your 1.5, but I thought to report this nonetheless because it's a quite bizzarre issue. That said, I am also sorry for this mini-derailment in this workbench thread, I'll quietly await for the Youtube stream now. If necessary I'll bring up more points in the Encoder forum in the future. Best regards.

I can't get this encode to work, all I see is the logo and then everything is grey, and Media Player Classic crashes eventually. I'll wait for the Youtube encode to appear.

I hate Zelda, though I have to agree here about the slight rule change, because a J version of Mario 64 would be faster as well and I'd like it. Everyone knows the plot by now, there's no point in Peach saying she baked a cake for Mario every time.

On the contrary, I would vote meh if this was slower.
