Unless they manage to open the moat door, which would save at least a minute. edit of course I refer to the 0-stars run, I didn't see Sonikkustar's post when I posted.

So many cutscenes... But I like this game, and this is a good improvement. And there is a small glitch when you get the coat at the end. This is enough to deserve a solid yes vote.

In this particular case, I am not a fan of RPGs, and therefore I am not going to watch this movie (not even 2 hours of it) because I know I wouldn't appreciate it. But being honest and respectful towards the author's work and dedication, I am not going to vote no using only my bias against RPGs as motivation, it doesn't sound right. If I vote no it usually means "ok I thought this movie could be interesting, I watched it all, and I didn't like it, I am disappointed", because I am in the position to take such an opinion, this is a motivated no. But "no because I don't like 8-hours long RPGs" is just so wrong. edit just like it's wrong to go all "omg it's Final Fantasy it must be good by default let's vote yes without watching the movie!!11!" One should have the conscience to abstain or watch the whole movie.

Not sure if this belongs here or in the Site Suggestions, if inappropriate, a moderator can move. This already happened in the past but now with DarkKobold's 8-hours movie we have a blatant example, of people voting without watching the movie. Unless they had access to earlier WIPs, the three people who already voted on this after only 2 hours didn't have the chance to watch it. Ok, maybe two people since DarkKobold himself is allowed to vote on his own movie. However this was just an example as it happened several other times in the past, especially with hours-long submissions. I wonder how hard it would be to integrate a forum feature that keeps polls locked for a certain amount of time, which should be at least the duration of the movie, or even a sophisticated tracing system which logs the first time an user entered that submission topic, preventing him from voting until an appropriate time passed. And yes I know, "judges don't look at the poll, they read comments", etc. But it would still be a good idea to take some move to prevent bad behaviours as a principle.

This movie is quite long and it might get slightly on the boring side if one isn't a Megaman fan, because also of the lack of bad glitches seen in NES games, it is just not as fun. However I do respect the huge amount of work put into the development of this, which looks carefully planned, I like how you moonwalked through some door transitions, and one of the weapons looks like throwing pokéballs. So I give this a weak yes vote, sure that it will be accepted because the poll already contains a whole lot of yes votes anyway.

Even simpler than radio buttons and status icons, there is a phpBB2 mod that allows topics to have a description, I have it installed on a forum I maintain: And from the admin panel you can do the magic to allow only encoders: I am not sure if it can be found on the phpBB website since they deprecated phpBB2, but I have it saved in a backup folder and I'd be glad to mirror it for you, if needed.

Strong yes vote, all the levels look carefully planned and executed, and the interactive commentary on the Youtube adds a nice touch of explanation, I really have no more to ask, this is good under any point of view. I own the Game Boy version of this game on my real Game Boy, I did not know there is a NES version, the level seem to be similar but different, and since the Game Boy version is a hard game, I somehow am in the position to appreciate the technicality of this TAS even even more. And this is your first TAS? Congratulations, I am impressed, sir. I definitely look forward to your future submissions. As for the suggested screenshot, I think one in which Bugs gets the last carrot in mid air and therefore dances in mid air would be hilarious, there are at least half a dozen of such episodes in the TAS so pick either one, in my opinion.

For what it's worth, I would look forward to a run of this game, but make sure to make it a 100%

This run deserves a star or at least a moon. Throwing a well deserved yes vote to an already accepted movie.

This is a good idea. Back when Youtube was still limited I was about to suggest to upload TASes on Facebook Video, but in the end I thought many people wouldn't be happy to share their real names there. Now that a page is in place, uploading videos on there can be an additional option. There is a 20 minutes limit though if I remember correctly, but the video quality is surprisingly decent. I would add myself as a fan of that page, but I haven't been using Facebook in months by now, because my parents are paranoid about me being on the internet (to the point that I have to use a proxy whenever I visit any website) |

It'd be hard to vote no on something of this caliber. Mario Kart 64.

I love Snow Bros and I would approve a TAS of it (especially with the 10000$ bonus in every level). Snow Bros II, not so much.

Could something like this be used to go through the outside wall and open the moat door from inside? I would test it personally but I've never TASed this game and probably wouldn't be good at it.
I had this same idea once, but I seem to remember it doesn't work, sadly, because there is water also behind the door. I would love to be proven wrong, though.

I don't get it but I wasn't really entertained. This is a meh vote from me because I recognize that a lot of effort was put into this but I don't really like it.

I have to agree that the new camera angles are annoying. However this is an improvement and I'd never vote no on a Super Mario 64 run, so yes vote.

The video embedded in the submission has the wrong jump sound. :(
Indeed, I have to agree with JXQ very much. I can't believe there is actually some people who don't realise that the "PSG High Quality" isn't accurate at all and it sounds like crap. Fortunately the encode will need to be remade after the improvements will be added in.

Obligatory yes vote. By the way, I was wondering, since SMB1 is so shorter than the other ones, maybe you can beat it twice? O

I've been carefully following the WIPs of this, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. This is epic, I love Sonic, but even if I hated Sonic I would love this run, because it's perfect in so many ways.

I asked that too, but only about the ARZ2 boss: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=260285#260285 I guess the SCZ and the WFZ are similar reasons. But wait for better answers from knowledgeable people. Also, here's a smaller version of Sgrunt's suggested screenshot: (even though it might need to be retaken if Upthorn improves act 1, since the score might be different afterwards). Now since there is a pending improvement I will abstain from vot... lol no just kidding, yes vote in advance.

None of the movies I uploaded are in the proper category, and I apologise for this. To be fair I tried to contact them in their irc at least three times to ask for assistance, but I never got any response, so I just went ahead and uploaded everything in the general Video category. Glad to see this can be addressed now.

No matter how arbitrary, dumb or ridiculous a category is, I would vote yes to any Super Mario 64 TAS. This one was very interesting, some of the 1-UPs were really neat, such as the one he collected after he collected the star.
