Corneria -> Sector Y -> Aquas -> Sector Z -> Macbeth -> Area 6 -> Venom
IMPOSSIBLE ROUTE! Sector Z and Macbeth are parallel stages (stage 5). If you go to Aquas then you're missing Zoness for stage 4. Sector Z is the missiles ahoy stage, and Macbeth is the Landmaster vs. train stage, so pick one.

I noticed you changed the button settings. Are you playing using the keyboard, or are you using a controller? Either way, you could avoid this options screen by changing the joypad configuration of SNES9x instead of using the game remapping.

As far as routes go, I think this is the best path for score: Corneria (hard path and switch) Meteo (warp) Katina (win and switch, but sit around to kill enemies) Sector X (defeat boss quickly, or is it possible to warp and switch here?) Macbeth (hit switches) Area 6 Venom Using charged shots without locking on would give the best point total if you can hit with most of them, with a few bombs in the high population areas (Meteo's warp area and minefields in Sector X come to mind). Anyway, if anyone makes any kind of video for this, I'll watch it. I suppose you could play on expert mode too, if you can avoid getting hit often, but that requires a medal completed game.

It works with "Final Fantasy V (J)", and doesn't with the translated version.

I know the name "Peach" was used in Japan's SMRPG, and was changed to Toadstool for the localization, just like Koopa -> Bowser. I suppose it may have been used earlier, but I don't know when.

I'm just joking around. That's the sub 50 times the first post hinted toward. I got it on the 3rd playthrough.

My highest score for the single-player games are all 999999999, but that's because of the continue bug.

Well, you have to realize that we tend to be perfectionists here, so don't see what we're doing as "jumping down your neck" (yeah, I saw your original post), but as notice that there are errors in your movie that could have been corrected. You have the ability to go back and fix any shortcomings, there's no reason to not exercise that.

I like how you say Gameboy Advance, despite all of those being basic Gameboy games. But yeah, the library of GB/C games is just as awesome.

TRIANGLES. I vote the red triangles are required for recognizability. You could even invent your own style as long as you include those.

As far as the high-quality video stuff goes, you should definitely keep a copy of the Flying Battery 2 fun-ness. Especially for the part after the laser beam "boss" up to the real boss.

I'm tempted to say Clone High beats all of those.

Dang, that was one of the things I wanted to mention in my post too. Some kind of "also a link to a list of nes roms :o" thing. But yeah, TSS are kinda lax about these gray area illegality things.

Caught the start of this show and noticed a mention about videogames played really fast. I rushed to get a tape to use for the VCR, which was good as my suspicions confirmed they were talking about tool-assisted runs. It was featured for Sarah Lane's "Site of the Night" segment, although it seemed less like "Site of the Night" and more "Watch Sarah fumble with the Famtasia emulator". I suppose it can be a bit forgiven since it's a live show, but they didn't really get around to featuring the actual site. They did cover the save-state and slowdown parts of it however. Fortunately, because TSS realize that mistakes can happen, they have daily show notes which help cover what they missed. Right now, there isn't much to see except a simple link. (leads to the WhyandHow page, hooray!) There should be more at 9PM EST according to the current page, since I assume that's when they finish compiling the stuff they didn't cover. The link to that episodes show notes is available here: http://www.g4techtv.com/screensavers/episodes/3514/Nichelle_Nichols_Laser_Cutter_Art_LAN_Party.html I will be encoding the TV segment later on in the night, once the VCR is no longer required. Also, those of you who receive the channel but weren't watching can catch reruns (at least on g4techtv Canada) at 10pm and 1am EST. [edit: in the US it appears to only rerun once, at noon the next day]

I remember watching one of these and wondering why he didn't continue. I just assumed that it might have been a Saturn/Playstation difference, or he was trying to conserve mana or something strange (because of how you drift a bit after reverting). But if an endless wing smash IS possible, perhaps by holding right or something, then it is odd why they weren't doing it.

I wouldn't mind seeing it as is. I'm going to assume you know about decent video compression; if you could find somewhere to host it that's good, otherwise you could hop on IRC (link is in the board header) and DCC send them. Could set up a torrent for it too, if you'd like.
