So how did you get the game? Source of the game should be identical lest the movie file should not sync. Have you bought it on Steam?

Failed to launch the game due to some technical problem. Maybe my computer can't just accept RPG XP games.

Wow, I never thought to see someone TASing this! This game used to scare me a lot, especially when he broke into warerobe where I hid in. However, I wonder whether Ao Oni is good enough for TAS. I agree this game is well-made 2D horror game, yet when it comes to TAS, I think there's few possible improvement; the plot is fixed that the player can't skip events, and Ao Oni appears and disappears in same time, same place(My last play was on version 5.2, so I'm not sure it might change in newer version). But anyway, I will comment after watching your WIP. I'm anticipating something unexpected. I hope you didn't stop TAS while that beast is chasing P.S. Have you tried 'Fraps' or 'Bandicam' to record your run? You can use Fraps if the game is full-screen mode, and use Bandicam if it's not.

If this TAS is published, it would be 4th shortest run according to Movie Statistics. Yes vote, anyway.

Seems optimized well. With TAS, this game will be entertaining too. Keep it up, Exxonym! I'll be waiting for your run. By the way, have you select the hard dificulty? The moive was so fast that I couldn't figure out whether you did it or not.

Watched the whole run, and I can say both hack and your run is quite amazing. Yes vote, of course.

How about we do Nyan Cat. We do the background, music, stamps, and animation.
Link to video There is actually SMW port of Nyan Cat. Maybe the music would sound like this, I think?

  • The game is played blisteringly fast
  • The puzzles are solved in surprising ways totally different from those intended
  • Many of the solutions are possible only due to the high speed used here
  • The author spends downtime well, providing entertainment with the cursor
  • The game is fun to play, and this TAS is fun to watch
Isn't this exactly what we look for in a TAS? I am a bit dismayed at all the no votes here. Most are from people who have not played the game, and I understand if the action here is too quick for them to see all the glitching, breakage and smart solutions going on here. But the primary audience of a TAS is people who have played the game, and not publishing this TAS will be a disservice to them, as they will be stuck wondering what an optimized completion of this game looks like. And remember, the question is "Should this movie be published?", not "Should this movie be starred?". Ps. A better encode would be nice, though: By the end of the current one, the A/V desync was 7.5 seconds or so, which is very irritating. Perhaps a simple timecode rescaling using mkvmerge will work?
What he said.
So do I.

That point was explained in-depth in the previous submission, but it has to do with a mechanic where you can recover from fatal damage with precise timing. The damage still appears, but it's instantly restored.
Now I get it. Thanks. Awesome TAS! Awesome graphic! Yes vote!

Would you please explain me how "Takes no damage" and "Takes damage to save time" can be in the same run?

Well, one of my favorites is Air Penguin. Short and addictive.

Hi, I'm newbie here and I have a problem launching this game, Kirubiru(斬るビル) (Since not being Japenese, I'm not sure whether I'm spelling accurately.) Download link is still available on his blog : http://liku.s33.xrea.com/ It's old, short, but challenging game. I thought this could be decent for my first tool-assisted speedrun. However, when I execute this game, after loooong time of loading, (this is weird, 'cause when I played this game in Windows XP it took 'no time' to load the game) my monitor showed the horrible graphic collaspsing I have never seen in my life. What the screen should have shown : What I actually get : (The screenshot was corrupted and only show black screen. anyway the graphic was not what I expected.) I tried every option of this file, but fail to find any solution. Does somebody have any idea to solve this problem? P.S. Also, This is full-screen game, which means I can't check RAM with Cheat Engine while making TAS. I wonder if there's solution about this, too.
