I'm starting this topic because someone NEEDS to do a run of it. Even though it's pretty unknown it's one of the best games for the psx. I recommend it to everyone! This game is very fast-paced and can get extremly hard, in short: perfectly for a TAS! Wikipedia: Silent Bomber is a 1999 arcade style action video game for the PlayStation, and the second game developed by CyberConnect2. Silent Bomber is based on the classic top down shoot'em up genre but with a twist: Instead of shooting the enemy, the player blows them up using bombs. In 2006 it was released for the PlayStation Network in Japan. Link to video

I think it's a great idea for us to work together. It was pretty daunting to think I would be doing it alone. I'm kind of busy too, but I aim to TAS the first level soon, and you can test out your strategy for level one and see if it's faster.
sounds good. in a week or so i may have time and will try it ;)

I dont know if i already said that in the spongebob squarepants ss windows wishlist thread but im thinking about coauthoring this game if youre interested. I spent 5 years of playing this in school lessons on my ti voyage 200 (besides pokemon^^) and after about 2 or 3 years i could even finish it in realtime (the counter overflows and the game crashes:-P) The problem is: im a bit lazy (see too cool to fool) and there is an assload of rl stuff going on in the moment... If you are doing testruns in the moment and "just" tas it as a "side project" i bet i could keep up with you ps: tasedit doesnt work on ds, how can you combine inputs?

The Caterpie glitch sounds very similar to the Wiggler glitch in regular SMW (chaining a bunch of hits on wiggler in one of the forest levels will cause all sorts of weirdness including 5ups, millions of points, and other things. Royal pain to set up, though, as bouncing on angry wigglers doesn't advance the counter, but does preserve the bounce chain...)
i guess all standart vanilla glitches are in the game because its just a "superfiscial" hack and i always did it on console... its not that hard ;)

What do you think looks better? I don't mind switching back (keep the current vbm) if everyone agrees on one version...
thats a tough decision. the japanese character looks like Bruce Lee and the worldwide-one like the casual American street fighting guy... the game itself should be the crucial argument.

And another topic leaves the track^^ Concerning american english: here in germany we are also taught british englisch. this is going so far that american expressions are sometimes even rated as mistakes i always complained about that because i dont like the british accent and american english is the most spoken english (citation needed) but if you had the wrong teachers you couldnt do anything

Kirby's move copy ability only copies the neutral B move of another character, and really, there's nothing possibly impressive with this idea.
Crazy idea: maybe you could use a script, which applies random character modificator codes to the game so you have some of everything, much like a switcheroo code or character changing in mk tases

Amazing! Easy yes vote from me. What's next? "Multi-tasking" the Pokemon series?
you wouldnt recognise the same input that much, because when you walk you need to press the direction button for one frame and then every other button you use isnt recognised at all. so once you get it started you can walk in totally different directions with one input would still be nice to see but i dont know if there are so many differences to the already published runs
